I have lgt gt540 with quarx custom rom . Can someone tell me how can i automaticly over/underclock to save power or boost performance. I would like to be able to automaticly overclock to 800 mhz on 100% battery and underclock to 100 mhz when under 25% battery.
I've tried set cpu and cpu tuner . Both can't push the cpu further than 600mhz which is the stock maximum frequency
Ok guys I have installed Zeus v7 ROM and you all know there is application called ZeusTweaker which allow me to change CPU frequency. So my question for you is: on which frequency did you set your max and min value, when did you set that frequency and are there any significant improvement that you noticed? Did you noticed any problems? And finally and most important.. is it worth it?
hi, frequency min 300 - max 1300 , undervolted -3, bench OB with antutu before overclock and after for see score.
if you don't play , maybe overclock is not necessary, battery eats more when OB is overclocked
Set cpu or any other cpu application automatically set my cpu at 800mhz while i set 1400mhz max. And 1200mhz min. In ondemand governor or any other governor.
When i set any criteria of frequeny in which minimum mhz is higher than 800 mhz than it comes down to 800 mhz and stays there .Why ?
I tried set cpu,no frills cpu,cpu adjuster, rom toolbox lite.one by one i tried each app but problem is same in each case :/
I have tried various custom kernels but they make the performance etc some stufff lag.
But with stock kernel limiting the max CPU frequency doesn't work.
It do shows the max frequency u set but CPU do runs at higher ones.
Any fix?
there is a bug in stock lollipop and also in stock mm.
when you restart moto g2, you can see with cpuspy that freq.min is set to 787 mHz and not to 300 mHz(787 mHz is so high)
if you open and close "fotocamera" app this bug disappears( i don't know why) and the freq. min is now set to 300 Mhz. do you have the same bug?
Why do you think 787 is high? It uses the same voltage.

for battery i mean
Doesn't make a difference :
Here an explanation by zakee94 -
From 96MHz to 249.6 MHz -> cpu operates at voltage1
From 300MHz to 787.2 MHz -> cpu operates at voltage2
From 998.4MHz to 1593.6 MHz -> cpu operates at voltage3
where voltage3 > voltage2 > voltage1 .
Hence,
* 96MHz takes up as much current as 787Mhz
Hope it helps.
therefore there isn't differences in term of battery if freq.min is 300 mHz or 787 mHz. ..right?

Yes
If you have screen on the minimum freq is set to 787 for smoother experience but when you turn off the screen it will be operating @300mHz or it's in deep sleep
