After some time of using the phone, the Phone app is stuck in the BT mode. No clicking on Speaker or Phone mode will change from the BT mode. This is remedied by rebooting the phone, at which point it is again possible to switch between all 3 modes - BT, Phone or Speaker.
Do you know how to fix this bug.
Thanks.
I figured out some things about this problem:
it has to do with Huawei Watch GT2 Pro, and possibly with using this watch and other BT headsets at the same time.
When the problem occurs, you don't have to reboot. You can do two things.
Pressing the "Hold" button twice cycles between Phone/Speaker/Bluetooth/and back to Phone.
However, making a phone call from the watch and hanging up fixes the problem entirely.
Or at least for a few days - I haven't had to reboot the phone for 3 days, it's working as it should.

I've done the upgrade by few days, and i've discovered this strange behaviours (don't know if they are already known):
-When i remove and put again the battery on the boot i see
R none
G none
D 5.xxxxx
so radio is disabled,
doing a soft reset repair the situation.
-Occasionally when i turn on flight mode, the phone goes off, and after few seconds it returns on automatically. Sometimes instead, the phone goes off, but the right green led continues to blink.
-When sound is off or volume is 0, and i receive a flash sms message (i've not tested with other events) the event sound play anyway (very annoying).
I have seen the first two problems (I'm using Antz ROM at the moment). I think they are both related...it's as though the ohone itself is crashing and WM5 cannot talk to it, which would explain the lack of driver version numbers on the reset. I had both after messing around with flight mode. It took a power down, wait 15 sec, then soft-reset to get me going.
I suspect it may be something to do with activating flightmode while wireless is on, but that is a complete guess.

Mmm, i think not, because i've discovered while wireless was off.
However i think that the worst problem is the sound playing when volume is 0...
Check those two:

I am using the 'standard' WM5 version, and this 'radio none' thing happens to me too when I remove the battery, so I guess it's WM5 related...
anyway soft resetting again works for me too
I have a problem with my Topaz and have a suspicion it is a HW problem.
Several weeks ago I watched Futurama on my Topaz using TCPMP player (as many times before) and suddenly the volume adjustment screen appeared and the volume decreased to zero (but the corresponding button was not pressed). Since then this problem appeared every time I tried to watch a movie. Sometimes it helped to stop the movie and to switch off the display but sometimes I had to put off the battery.
I tried the HW reset but the problem appeared immediately after the reboot (when I imported my PIM data and the system was sorting the SMS messages).
Originally I thought the problem is connected with the high processor load but then I tried several tests and figured out that the problem is probably purely random and appeared here and there when the display is switched on (when I use Nitrogen player and let the display on, the problem appears, when I use the button on the screen to switch it off, it does not appear). Recently I tried to let my mobile with the display on (and no program running) and after approx. 30 min the problem appeared again.
What do you think? I have a suspicion it is a HW problem (a problem with the button sensor) and I will have to reclaim.
Did you do a hard reset by holding both volume keys and soft resetting with the stylus?

Yes, I did do a hard reset several times and the problem occured again and again. Yesterday evening I loaded the newest ROM and now I am testing it. Video is playing now and I am impatiently and nervously waiting...
I did some preliminary testing today and the system seems to be much more stable than with the previous version of ROM, which is highly surprising as I was totally convinced it was a hardware problem. However, it was a little bit colder today in comparison with the previous days and the overheating of the device (and the button sensor) is still in suspicion. I will continue in testing the stability of the system tomorrow.
And there it is again.. :-(
Although the frequency of the occurence is not so high. But still it is pretty annoying, the next week I will send the phone for the warranty service.
I think the problem is somehow connected with the overheating of the device, because I guess it should be no problem for the device to play a movie for one hour or two, even in 30°C heat.
Problem solved - the warranty service sent me a message that they found the same problem during the test and they changed the motherboard. I hope my device will be OK now.
I think my bluetooth is causing my phone to crash. I have a Jawbone and use it outside the car and the car has a bluetooth stereo. In recent weeks the phone completely freezes (switching between sources). The only thing I can do is do a 3 button reboot to get it back. A couple of times its come out of it but normally I need to do 3 button reboot. Sometimes an error message has popped saying android.phone has ceased functioning??? Then gives option of force close but that doesnt seem to work either.
Hey, i have a Bluetooth problem. When i turn Bluetooth on after 30sec it turns off.
Can someone help me?
First *push*
It sounds like you have a problem with your phone. Bluetooth stays on permanently, and there is no configuration option apart from on or off. Dies it say it is off?
Unless you mean discoverable? I have got a feliing it only remains discoverable whilst you are in the settings screen?
I have the same issue since a few weeks although not that fast.
Bluetooth switches off automatically on my HD7 after a few minutes.
When connecting it to my carkit, it can make a first call without problems, but when finished the call it will switch off bluetooth after a few minutes.
I even now reverted back to 7.0.7389.0 by using one of Ansar's ROMs, but I have again the same issue.:mad
Any one else has similar issues on the HD7? Anyone knows how to fix it?
Could it be something physically broken?
Meanwhile I installed all updates again with Zune, but still the issue exists.
I also have an issue with the WiFi when the issue with BT occurs.
If I try to switch on/off WiFi, the phone hangs for a while, after that he doesn't go to sleep mode no more and it's impossible to switch it off with the Power button.
Only solution at the moment is to take out the battery.
Had it several times now already.
I mailed HTC, and they told me to send in the phone, but I'll need to miss it for 2-3 weeks then
Dear PDA experts, please help me!!
since a couple of days I am having a VERY annoying problem with my HTC Diamond. This occurs when I am using the original hands-free. It looks like the cable is losing contact or making an incorrect contact...
So, when using the hands-free, the phone starts dialing the last dialed number by itself. When I am listening to music, the music stops and I am hearing how the phone is dialing. This usually happens, when I make the move to put my phone in my pocket. Also, when I speak with someone, the phone automatically puts him on hold, which is even more annoying for the other party! The problem persists even when I switch off the phone module, it still tries dialing!
I had tried many times to get rid of the voice dialer (sddialer.exe), but I cannot delete or rename the file even when I connect the Diamond to a PC. Finally I have disabled it from the registry and it still starts dialing when I make the move to stick it into my pocket!
And I dont have the impression, that the cable is somehow defective, as when I am listening to music, it does not break up. And it always does, when there is a problem with the cable, unfortunately I have a lot of experience with defective hand-frees. Please please help me!! It is not worthy to buy a new handsfree for such an old phone... Is there a way to disable all the buttons of the hands-free, it is the last possible solution I can think of...?
Use the lock screens
My Diamond did that too.
There are several lock screen capabilities that you can enable under settings. More important if you added a custom Rom they usually have a few different options.
With the custom Rom I was running, I could make a call and after pushing the power button, it would lock the phone when on the line with someone. This would happen if you hit any button after the power button was pressed (which usually turns off the screen).
Hope that helps.
