I have a problem , the company where i work does not allow camera phones.
I have a Galaxy S Plus 2.3.3 ginger
I have the option of removing ( fizicaly ) my camera from the phone but i would not like to do that.
My question is , can this be done through software in a way that when the application for the camera starts it would simply give an error mesage ( doesnt realy matter what error as long as the person checking sees that the camera wont start ( hiding the app wont help )
So i turn to you guys and girls of this forum for a fix ( if there is any )

If you have root you can delete camera (as a system app) and your phone will be unable to take photos.
unfortunately that would only make the person search for the camera app more suspicious

There is an app called applocker I think on the market what will show a false error when u attempt to use a program on the phone. I'm looking for a link on the program. It was from alpha dog or something. Seems like it would be perfect for yiu

Cant belive it was so easy )) ( was thinking of rooting the phone , then removing the camera app , then replacing it with one that was somehow corrupt so it would give that error ) )
I tried all third party applications like automatic call recorder, cubeacr ,acr.. nothing works. The opposite person is audible. None of the recorder could record the opposite person voice.
Though there is an new update on google phone app which enables manual recording after informing the opposite side that call is being recorded.
But I want to install or enable old automatic call recorder which doesn't inform the opposite person.
Kindly someone help please.

Well well well the thing is google made some changes in there privacy policy acording to new policy auto call recorder apps will not work. But you cab still you auto call recording on your phone but in order to use this feature you have to unlock bootloader bootloader and flash xiaomi eu rom.. eu rom is only way to use auto call recording feature without any problem

Actually I am awaiting for bootloader unlock.
But here is a video on YouTube. featuring this particular rom running on Note 10 pro.
and yes, it has miui dailer.

Yes i can. I' ve just installed the eu rom and the automatic call recording is working. But if u prefer global rom then use the app- CR. It is worked for me on the stock rom.

yes, it will work... u have to make some changes in updater-script and you are done.
And yes EU comes with MIUI Dialer
or U can use the Stock Indonesian MIUI ROM... that comes too with MIUI Dialer

I am not buying new phone due to this missing feature.
Can't we just disable google dialer and use xiaomi dialer by just installing apk?
Are there any fully working third party apps even paid ones?
Can't we replace sound file (which says this call is now being recorded) with 1 sec silent file or beep? Maybe with root?

But if u prefer global rom then use the app- CR. It is worked for me on the stock rom.

Install Official MIUI Indonesia ROM to get the MIUI Dilaer, Only Indonesian Phone comes with the MIUI Dialer.

Can't we just extract miui dialer from Indonesia rom and install in Indian rom without changing whole rom? Experts thi k and pls try for simple solution than flashing ROM as it involves lots of steps. A mistake and can be bricked with no warranty...

Ni, To install MIUI Dialer, u have to change full ROM, APK will not work.

I have still not managed to purchase phone in flash sales...
But tested this app on a friend's phone (Redmi Note 10 Pro Max - India) and works fine - both sides voice recorded automatically without any problems. Thanks.

This worked for me. Permission situation is kind of janky but it works like a charm. Recommended till you flash global ROM.
Can you please post the link to install the EU rom? Thanks. It doesn't have any other issues right?
I installed indonesian sweet ROM in my new Redmi note pro 10.
Everything was working fine. But after 3-4 days all call recordings disappeared from recorder folder. Highly disappointed.
I will never buy MI mobile next.
Google dialer and recording restrictions have made it worst.

Many features and I'm using it everytime instead of stock dialer and contacts. Call recording works good and I think the developer will make also a new record management.
Unfortunately there are sweeping changes Google is said to have made to automatic call recording apps after May 11th, 2022 - which may affect any non-rooted phone that doesn't already have a native automatic call recording app.
Is there any way to get 3rd-party call recording (ACR) apps working after tomorrow, May 11th, 2022?

Just got my mi 11 ultra China Rom....installing google play store is easy etc.
But one weird thing....all my past google purchase is forgotten. Asking me to re purchase them all again. ????

I suppose you logged in using your Google account that had purchased everything, right ?
I suppose so...but it's not happening. LoL first time I encounter such issue.....
Maibe check the app google play store ( and google related ) permissions ( allow everything ) .
Also check if you have the other google related services installed ( framework , play services etc ) i know that google relies on several services in order to work ok.
Will try to post on Monday if i encounter any issues on my china variant.

Installed Google Service last night and pretty sure it's still asking me to repurchase before I hit the bed.....but this morning...vola !! everything back to norm, no longer ask me to repurchase.

Do you intend to keep the Chinese firmware or flash to the global?
So far I don't have problems with China rom. Only one small thing with notification on the rear screen ( not showing all tough enabled ) but it works in other rims so must be something from my side..
Until I encounter serios issues, will not flash anything else

absolutely nothing yet, just uninstalled several Chinese apps from the xiaomi china store app .
Will see if i have any issues in the future and consider it

I don't want to break anything yet or I might not be able to finish unlock and flash global rom

That worked quite well! There is no Chinese search engine or vault anymore!
Is it possible to put Google now on the miui launder where the Chinese vault used to be ?(swipe left from home screen)

I used the phone yesterday for a lot of payments with my phone using my banking app and they work flawlessly ( there are a lot of customizations for the app itself, depending on your app of course )

EU ROM have miui dialer with call recording. I suppose this is another google restriction on recording conversations. Other way is to unlock bootloader, root and then you can do something or flash ROM with MIUI call recording

I already bought ACR but, Google fuxed it up so it didnt work anymore unless on Android 5 to 9.
then I actually found one of the comments on Play Store that Aptoide version works.
I tried it on Android 12 and now on Android 13. It records both sides of conversation.
Just be advised that you the instalation package will need to install Aptoide Store first, which, once inside, takes you to install page of ACR.
IMPORTANT: TURN OFF Updates inside the ACR app Settings, so that Google doesnt interfere.

I am using Samsung galaxy for few years
and after android update there is no call recording on this for for all countries
but i must change their firmware for example to India or Thailand so after this then call record will be active
So there is no any problem and its ok
Now i want to move to pixel 5 , but i want to know is there any native call recorder for pixel 5a ?
if not then like Samsung is there any option for change officially pixel 5a firmware rom to other countries for active call recorder ? because call recorder is very important for my job
