Ive just found THE most annoying problem in the N4...

And now Im going to ruin your day. If you have folders and app icons mixed on the home screen, the labels dont align. App icons text sits noticeably higher than the label for folders. Its annoying the bejesus out of me...

Software update will fix it. Big deal.

Please provide a screenshot.

Haha, lol! Better you download any other launcher like apex or go launcher. Try and tell us.

The most annoying for me is I can't use t9 to dial contacts from the dialer! My labels line up fine with nova.

You don't care but some do. Sorry we don't all think like you! The fact is it shouldn't even be there. I have never seen this on any android phone I have used or any of the dozens of Stock/Custom ROMs.

I've found something much worse
For me anyway, when I set the brightness to the maximum and then put a black background, a single red stuck pixel shows up near the center. It only seems to be visible with the brightness turned up and on darker backgrounds.
I've tried using the stuck pixel fixer apps but none have worked so far :/ Anyone have any ideas?

Very terrible, this has made me cancel Thanksgiving.

I tried iptables installer but nothing changed.!
Auto proxy still says no iptable.
Any other solution?

Weather not animated anymore?

Since the 4.4.2 update, the weather app doesn't show the animations for the weather.. It is still even in the demo. Anyone else experienced this? I'm on 4.20.707.7 stock

Yeah for some reason, I think starting with Android 9, no apps nor the system manager offer app cache cleaning. The Google Files app is the closest one as "Junk Files" is a lot of temporary and cache files for things YouTube, music apps, etc. that get many MBs worth.

There's not even an option in recovery I think. Just a data clear.

Are you rooted? You can increase the size of vram and increase swappiness and this should help. It won't clear the ram but it will move the unused pieces of ram into bran so there will always be enough ram to either play some intense games that require ram or multitasking and not having any apps close due to not enough ram.

Brightness always changed

I use Huawei P30 Pro and have problem with brightness. Setting brightness manually but anytime the brightness changed by itself. How to solve this problem?

As I mentioned, I set it manually. Auto brightness is off.

i had to disable powergenie app via adb ....bit of a palava.
but thats whats doing it...no issues after that.
