I looked in several different places for solutions and nothing was resolved.
I have a moto e5 with static noise in the headphones at output 3.5 and even worse using usb dac
On standard output, it is possible to hear noise between one song and another, or before a sound is played and when the sound is turned off.
Using USB DAC is even worse from the moment I connect the microusb output, the static noise is constant regardless of anything.
Does anyone know how to solve? I have already edited mixer_paths.xml (HPH and RX). Nothing changes the noise.
I've tried using Viper4android too.
the noise also appears in bluetooth headphones

Hi,
In the past few days I noticed that there's some background interference when I have headphones plugged in.
To make sure its not caused by badly shielded headphones I tried the stock ones that came with the phone, stock headphones of the One X and a pair of Shure SE215 IEMs, as well as my home hifi block.
All of them show the same thing: There's audible, and annoying, background noise when there's no music playing, and slightly less annoying noise in a low-volume part of a song.
Now before I send the phone in for repairs because of the (probably) faulty DAC I wanted to know whether this might be software thing (changing overall volume also changes the volume of the noise, turning beats on or off doesn't change anything) and if somebody else has/had this issue as well.
Regards,
Alex
Today I connected my Z1 to my Sennheiser RS-160 wireless headphones and first, I noticed that right channel has a lot of noise even if not playing. When I started the song, the right channel was somehow more quiet than left one and the sound was a little bit distorted. Then I connected original Z1 headphones and the sound got worse and it kept getting worse and worse. Now the right channel is so much distorted that it's impossible to listen to music. The left channel works perfectly.
I tried to reboot the phone but it's still there. I also tried to connect external Audio DAC through USB and the sound is fine there so I assume that it's a hardware issue; probably the headphone amplifier is dead. It's still under warranty so I will probably send it to repair, but before I do this, is there any possibility that there's a software issue? It's weird that only one channel is dead. Does it have a stereo or 2 x mono amplifier for headphones inside? Anyone had a similar problem?
The phone is not rooted and it has stock ROM, without any mods. Sound on speaker works fine. I also tried to clean the 3.5mm jack but no result.
With my Nokia 7 Plus i have noticed the same issues of my old phone: a hiss or white noise from the audio jack when i use a low impendeance earspeaker. With my IEMs of 16 ohm i hear this annoying white noise when i listen calm music, with more high impendeance headspeaker (40 ohm) i hear the white noise but much more less.
Why also new smartphone have this freaking hardware/software problem?
Same story here... I just got my phone as a secondary phone and the white floor noise is really disturbing.
Try using a USB C to 3.5mm converter. Most users just don't have the aptitude to notice either due to hearing or inadequate hardware.
Nokia has stopped including Dolby Atmos in their phones. You could go the unlocked bootloader route to install Audio enhancements ...
For some reason my phone won't play sound through the headphones anymore, it recognises headphones and picks up audio from the microphone but no sound comes through no matter the volume level. I've tried several headphones and even an aux cable in the car
Has anyone got any suggestions of a fix?
With the Hammerhead ANC USB-C, or the included DAC, or the Hidizs, the RP2 outputs crackling and static at low volume levels. With the latest update, you either get no sound, or the crackling at below ~30% volume.
Using powered external DACs like a Schitt Modi, or combined DAC/Amps like a Sony NW-ZX300 in DAC mode or an JDS Element - there is no crackling.
Using UAPP on RP2 to play music, you can control hardware volume and software volume separately. It appears that the USB DAC and the Hammerhead ANC USB-C don't get enough power at low volumes with other apps and that is why there's dropouts and static..
Is this a problem with just the Razer Phone 2, or with Android in general?
I have the similar issue with my razer phone 2. the Dongle plus any non high end earphones, sounds really loss in low volume. But when I use the Sony MDR 7506, the sound is fine. Seems the razer phone is not user friend to low end earphone.
