Anybody Know Where The Ota File Is Downloaded - Google Pixel 5 Questions & Answers

I need to know the path of the file.
Where is downloaded
Thanks in advanced

If you're asking where it's downloaded to on the phone (for nothing other than just to know "where"), I don't know.
But if you're asking because you want to extract the files to your pc or what not, you can grab the files directly from google.

Yeah i need to know where is on the phone.
Im rooted and dunno how . Gat downloaded an updated even do i have turn off all the updates . So i need to delete the file.

I can't check because I'm not rooted, it should be somewhere behind Android/Data. Are you sure it's even there since the zip sometimes gets deleted after a reboot.

Yeah is there. I even have a notification saying install now or remind me later.

[Q] boot loop maybe

Hi
I think* i was trying to do a back up or custom recovery just before it went pear shaped, phone froze and i took the battery out and then ->
The phone doesn't get past boot image ( custom boot image of terminators from the movie ).
I have tried factory reset , trying different roms on sd card and then booting into recovery - but i only had the default recovery on the phone.
I have a kdz file image and a few dz files as well as zip but they don't 'work' , even if i rename them 'update'
The lg support tool gets to a point where it says ' super duper bad , your fxxxxd or fatal error or something so it wont even start a fix or update.
'Unkdzing' only gives me a dz file and .dll
I tried uptestEX ,dzextract, lgflashmuncher, expand, lgextract and extractor kdz - but on that it stops with some WMD warning - in spanish i think.
This is the 5th day ive tried to fix the prob but i fail.
After I un screw the phone can it be flashed/shocked with electricity on the part that holds the info ? ( thought id ask before going ahead and doing it anyways )
The phone is rooted
try this

have you tried all methods here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2068321
Hi
Yeah I tried those and those led me to other links of people trying other methods but none of them worked out.
Basically I think I need to shelf the phone until there's a boot loader - that should fix most/all problems shouldn't it ?
I like the phone so I'll order another one same colour same place same bat channel :good:
did you change or reinstall busybox
busy box was changed days before

but i am sure, you didn't rebooted before this after replacing busybox. Busybox takes effect after reboot.
yeah i agree as its exactly the same as happened to my phone, i had installed busybox 1.20 and didnt reboot then a while later the phone froze and when i rebooted it stuck at boot logo
I was doing a few things with the phone so yeah, you're probably right.
So is there a fix ?

I tried and it didn't work
What should the screen look like when its plugged in and turned on ? , I did the vol + power key and its statiky* and sometimes vibrates. So i tried vol - and power, vol + and home and power, vol - and home and power but total commander still didn't see the phone connected to it.
I extracted adb to total commander and i click on it when total commander is open then I have to click connect to device then a box pops up and i input COM4 ( matched it up with device manager ) but nothing happens.
The only 'normal' screen is when it is in sw update mode, other than that its either grey or pink or white and vibrates at times with all sometimes.
Ok I tried vol + and power with the battery in and when i click on adb the device ID is shown but when i click on that, its totally empty.. no folders or files , completely blank.
Also next to the network 3 pc image it still says [none]
When i try to copy the new busybox to the device id it says 'please remove the write protection'.. so I right click the busybox file and click unblock but same message again
It has full permissions.
you need to keep hold of the keys until it starts up.it will vibrate and screen will go blank about 2 times before it boots into the correct mode, sorry i didnt think of writing that into my other post

yeah it takes like 5 seconds for it to reboot and then the 'notice' screen appears, but still it says ' please remove the write protection '
Also noticed on my pc under device manager that android adapter has yellow triangle.
I went to LG site and got the driver but it didn't install, even found generic driver but it didn't install, also let windows find one but it didn't install, also tried manually but android driver just wont install.
My understanding is without that android driver total command won't work.
hi sorry to hear your still having problems, all i can suggest is uninstall the drivers and reinstall without the device connected, also are you leaving it til it comes to the screen has a window with a phone and and cables with a red hand covering them,
the driver that you really need it too load is the called Android Sooner single ADB Interface, as far as im aware that when booting into this mode it doesnt load your currently corrupted system files maybe after you retry installing it should hopefully work also if you havent already installed the lg support tool then it would be easier for you to install that and install the drivers that way, they can be found through the following link
http://www.lg.com/uk/support/mobile-support
il have a good think and look at what could be the problem if you are still having problems
yeah I have that driver and two others, nothing is working unfortunately

[ODIN]Stock MK7 Firmware DOWNLOADLINK

This is a zip of the MK7 Firmware, you must unzip using 7zip or equivalent,
place the extracted .tar.md5 file where you can locate it using Odin.
Take The Gear and put into Download Mode....
( Hold The Power button, wait until watch reboots,
screen will display Samsung Rebooting, once at this screen,
click the power button continuously until it switches to the boot loader)
click the button twice to go down to Download mode,
Press and hold the power button for 3-4 seconds and let go,
the watch will boot into recovery and is ready to be placed in the cradle for restore.
Once in Download mode and watch is in cradle connect to the pc and open odin,
your watch should be displayed under the com port, if not your missing drivers for download mode.
Chose the ap spot and navigate to the .tar.md5 you downloaded from here,
no need to mess with other check boxes. Once you selected the .tar.md5
odin will check it against your gear for compatibility, once done you can hit start,
it will take time so be patient, don't allow keis or any other software to be running during this step,
these other programs could interrupt the connection and cause odin to fail.
Watch will automatically reboot and be back to stock,
you may need to power cycle the watch if it sticks on the Samsung screen,
go back to the bootloader using the above steps and choose recovery,
this allows the update to complete. it will automatically reboot, and get back
to stock pairing screen / main home screen.
ENJOY.
If my instructions are vague, use Google or other walkthrough's to help get into download mode.
This will wipe all data!
Flash at your own risk!!!
There's other posts around with links to Samsung-Updates.
Their download speeds suck and are limited and really confusing for new users.
This is the exact same thing with a lot faster download and is a straight download to the firmware.
I had to reboot device after flashing this firmware and go to recovery, recovery said applying updates and rebooted,
once I did that the watch fully booted, without this reboot the watch hangs on Samsung screen after restore.
THIS IS THE USA, CANADA, UK Build (BTU) MK7 I will not be providing support,
this is just to give people a easy link to get a odin restore file.

[Q] Regarding Odin

Hi guys.
I rooted my phone and downloaded the galaxy project which is ok although it does decide to restart whenever it feels like.
I did lose root and although i don't know i did it, i must have un rooted either by mistake or i simply lost root after rebooting. In download mode the counter reads 8 downloads. Is that something to be worried about?
Anyway, odin no longer sees my phone when in download mode. It only sees the phone when it's powered on for normal operation.
Why is that?
run Odin as Administrator....if that doesn't work reinstall drivers(happened to me)..
I appreciate your suggestion but no go. I am already running as administrator. Only one thing left to try and thats to manually put all the superSU files onto the system and then rebooting.
By any chance do you know what the file path is for the superSU files?

[q] z1 bricked

Hey Guys, Im new here and that's my first post, I really really need some help! First, I'm really sorry by my english!! I just need some help, I don't know what to do and I heard that's the only place with lots of nice people with know-how and good will to help!
I was rooting my Z1 and I did it right with the Root, the DualRecovery but something goes wrong when I was about to install the CYANOGENMOD ROM. There's a moment when the tutorial tells me to rename a file from ROM CM to ROMcm.zip and transfer it to xperia's memory stick. After that, I reboot my cell in Recovery mode and clicked in Install Zip File to install this ROM I renamed and after I clicked in Reboot. My Z1 doesn't turn on anymore. When I hold the power Button he vibrates one time and nothing happens. If I keep holding, he keep vibrating. When I connect by USB, he do not appear on my computer... After I see that file I rename it on my pc, instead of "ROMcm.zip" the name was "ROMcm.zip.zip" (with 2 zips)...maybe can this be the problem..
I don't know what to do
First, welcome to XDA!
To restore your Z1, download FTF file and FlashTool (You can find it around XDA) (Make sure to install FlashTool driver)
first hello to xda too ^^
when flashmode doesent work (what i dont think) try the wallcharger trick leave it at least one night connected to the wallcharger and see what happends
but hopefully an ftf works for you good luck bro
and is your bootloader unlocked?

[Q] How to flash D415 back to stock firmware? No guides work.

My D415 has been out of action for about two or three weeks now and it sucks having no phone. I'd like it back but all the hours I've spent trying to fix it have been pointless due to very poorly-made guides that are either difficult to understand or simply false.
If I follow this guide: http://www.lg-phones.org/how-to-flash-unbrick-lg-l90-back-to-stock.html
It gets stuck forever on step 7, with the computer refusing to recognize that I've connected the phone no matter what I do. Note that this includes skipping download #3 because I already have the stock KDZ downloaded, could this be the issue?
If I follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/general/guide-flash-stock-kdz-offline-lg-l90-t2803479
It gets stuck forever on step 1, with lg-firmware-rom.com not actually existing.
If I follow other guides, other **** happens, like LG Mobile Support Tool continuously "downloading" the USB driver without the progress bar or anything actually moving.
My computer is getting cluttered with various copies of roms and KDZs and drivers and random pieces of software from all the attempts to do this, I've spent hours trying to get it done, and I'm tired of not having a phone. Could anyone give me a way to do this? The phone is currently on a 5.0.2 ROM with baseband issues and TWERP as its recovery, IIRC. I'm good with computers, though inexperienced with Android tweaking. All I need is a reasonably concise guide that actually works.
Well, the first thing I would do personally is to delete all of the extra files you dont need. It always helps to have a clean work space. Then uninstall all drivers you have installed
.
Download and install the drivers from here: (http://tool.xcdn.gdms.lge.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=UW00120120425). Restart your PC and verify all drivers are installed correctly through device manager.
Download this KDZ (http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FWB7G2U032NVA6P70FE44UV/D41520b_00.kdz) This is the one I used and it works fine.
You also need LGFlashTool, which is what you run first when you're trying to flash back to stock. (http://www.mediafire.com/download/fwrcd3pdj0svjtb/LG_Flash_Tool_2014.zip)
Close out any programs you aren't using just to make sure there aren't any conflicts.
Reboot into download mode, verify in device manager that your phone is recognized correctly. Run LGFlashTool. Change PhoneMode to EMERGENCY. Click on the little folder icon next to Select KDZ file. Navigate to your KDZ and select. Hit normal flash.
When the next screen pops up, just hit START in the bottom right hand corner.
Another box will come up. Where is says Country, select different country. Language, select English. Hit OK.
The LG Mobile support tool will come up and should start flashing your phone. Chill and let it do it's thing.
IF it happens to say that the phone is disconnected, don't hit anything. Just unplug your phone and reboot it into download mode. Should automatically start flashing.
Hopefully this helps. If you want, I can link you to my collection of files I use.
EDIT: This is essentially the guide from above, I'm just linking you to the files I used more or less. I also realize I'm a bit late lol. Hopefully this either helps, or you have it solved.
My phone keeps saying settings stopped working and google play store stopped working over and over and my computer is not recognizing the device? Any help on this?

Backup and factory reset (wipe caches and data)?
If still broken, reflash stock (if you have TWRP then look for a flashable zip, if not kdz is the only way), wiping system partition first.
