I have several Chromecasts and Rokus in my house that I can cast to from my Note 8. When I try to connect and hit Smart View, it automatically connects to the last device it connected to, and it happens so quick that there is no way to stop it. It just starts to list the devices, sometimes I see two on the list before it connects. This has made things unusable, because I often am in a different room when I want to cast something. I don't have the Smart View app installed, this is just the native Note 8 casting function. Any ideas on how to turn this off so it just shows me a list of possible destinations when I hit Smart View?
Turn off the other devices before casting
Today i updated to OneUI 2.5 and the Smart View function from the notification panel doesn't find my TV anymore. It used to work before. My TV is a 2011 Series 6 one. The 32D6100 model connected via wire to internet. I tried the Smart Things app and it found it as a directly connected device but sharing things from the app is cumbersome compared to using the Smart View toggle. Can someone on OneUI 2.5 please see if it works for them?
Worked for me. Sometimes I need to restart either tv or phone or both of them to connect again. Other then that it works great. I use wireless dex if cast doesnt work.

Weird. I restarted tv and phone and nothing. Actually my phone does find something but every time it's a different random device. One time it was a LG TV, one time a Sony, then some random projector. And if i try to connect it disappears from list. I'm connected to wifi and there's only one TV that's also connected to the same internet in my home. TV doesn't support miracast as it's quite old though so i can't use wireless dex or screen mirroring on it. Smart view could only show some content from the default Samsung gallery, music and video apps. Will buy an Anycast M9 Plus dongle and hope everything works with it.
I have an Active 2, Wifi version SM-R820 paired with a Huawei P40 pro. Remote connection in Galaxy Wearable is on and the samsung account is logged in.
But if connected to wifi only, as standalone, there are no notifications.
With BT everything is working almost fine, because sometimes I found the watch disconnected from BT, I have to open the Galaxy Wearable app and after it connects automatically.
Any ideas?
Problem solved.
I have to unckeck "manage automatically" from Settings - Battery - App launch the apps:
Galaxy wearable, Samsung accessory service, Galaxy active 2 plugin, Samsung Health.
I have a Galaxy watch 3 SM-R840 and when I connect it to wifi I can't download or update anything, I reset it to zero and it remains the same, any ideas please

What do you mean by "download or update anything"?
In remote connection mode you can only receive notifications and use the Find watch and phone functions.

That's the way it's been designed, I think. WiFi on the watch is only meant to connect to your phone "remotely", when Bluetooth connection fails. In the remote connection mode you only can receive notifications and use some basic stuff like Find my watch etc. Open your Galaxy Wearable app on your phone when the watch is connected through WiFi and you'll see most functionality is greyed out.
Solved, I tried it with another wifi network and it works perfect, thanks !!!!!

Cast screen to my toshiba tv smart
My mobile mi 11 ultra can't complete connecting
I can see my tv when cast searching
And i can press connect
But it doesn't completed
Stuck on connecting..... And then disappear
Just turn On GPS and try again. I know it's confusing but work.
good evening
I wanted to cast the screen of my redmi note 10 pro under miui 13.0.3 on my android box nvidia shield and it does not work
I explain myself when I click on the broadcast button with the wifi and the localization activate it searches my finds nothing
when I go through the wireless display option I have the nvidia shield which is recognized, I click to start the connection it connects and shows me a black screen then it disconnects on its own
I also tried the google home application but that does not work either, it connects black screen then disconnects
I tested with another samsung a5 2017 phone and a lenovo tab p11 tablet it works
thank you in advance
