Service is not available? Samsung Health Montior - Samsung Galaxy Watch 3

Hello,
First post here, long time user without an account until now because I am hitting brick walls.
I got the Samsung Watch 3 today, for the sheer use of ECG/BP etc and I own a Samsung S20 Ultra
I followed the video that was on XDA that allowed the APK to install the app on the watch and phone.
The SHM sees my watch but when I push continue to do the set up it states;
"Service is not available
Samsung Health Monitor is not available in your current region"
Hardware Info
Watch:
Model: SM-R840
Tizen: 5.5.0.1
Country
Location: Canada
Phone:
Samsung S20 Ultra
Is there away to get past the region restrictions?
TIA

New GW3, latest software, missing (or can't find) SpO2

I picked up a Galaxy Watch3 yesterday to go with my Note20 Ultra. During setup I was notified of an update so I did it. I didn't look for SpO2 prior to the update so I'm not sure it was ever there. But now, after reading and watching videos, I can't seem to find it. I do have ECG however.
Watch software version is R845USQU1BTH4 and the Samsung Health app version is 6.12.0.029. The ECG is done through the Samsung Health Monitor app which is showing version 1.1.0.175 (Sep 24, 2020)
Not sure what's going on. Has this been removed? Anybody else have this update that can verify?
Thanks

Nowhere to be found! When I couldnt find it I went to youtube and watched all the videos. It doesnt show up in the watch. It doesnt show up in the Health app, and some videos show it in the Health Monitor app, and it doesnt show there either on mine!
Figured it out. I had to go into the Wear app on my phone, select Discover tab, search for Samsung Health, and update from that menu. SpO2 now appears. No other methods of checking for updates seemed to find that update.

HI. Does it work for you on non samsung phone? Can you tell my what version of app do you have on the watch?
Hi guys
Any update to getting the SPO2 app working on the Galaxy watch 3 RM845 LTE version.
I installed the Samsung Health app and got BP and EKG to work but no sign of the SPO2 app.
@nanand13
Can you give more details?
SM-R845 F or U?
If you are able to identify your active CSC?
Maybe you allready know how to sign and install TPKs you could test:
SpO2 TPK
Is there a way to extract the SpO2 tpk file from the Galaxy Watch 3 ? I have both watches GW3 and Active 2. I am planning to sideload the SpO2 on the Active 2. Thanks.

Hi there adfree
The model is SM-R845F ..... sorry I don't know the process of signing and installing the tpk.
I am not sure if the CSC is as below;
The Software version is as follows;
R845FXXU1DUA4
SM-R845FZKAXFA
One Watch verion = 2.0
Tizen version = 5.5.0.2
SE for Tizen = 2.0.0
TIMA = 3.0.0
Knox Tizen Wearable SDK = 2.5.0
so frustrated with this watch now ... some update happed recently either on my watch or phone and lost the BP and EKG software and had to re-install and recalibrate.
now just the SPO2 does not work ...

@nanand13
Excuse me.
I am so lazy at the moment and spent more time with playing Evolution 2...
XFA CSC seems South Africa.
I will check the list...
Notify Update
Look here... seems your CSC is not supported for SPO2...
If you like adventures...
And you are able to bypass the TPK Signing problem...
We could try something... as I still need GW3 tester...
XFA is inside OXX Region...

No idea yet, if easy to change CSC to something else...

Question Watch 3 ECG function "not supported in your current location"

Hi all quick question to ECG region on Samsung Health monitor app on my S21U
Does the app set your location using CSC of the S21 Ultra or your GPS location ?
I am in UK but my S21U CSC is Nigeria ECT and the app says ECG is not supported in my current location ?
From what I know, they use the cellular base station location to determine where are you.

You need a phone with csc from a supported region.

From what I understand, they took forever to bring some of their monitoring features to the watch because they had to get the certifications from various health organization bodies.
I would not be surprised then that if you are not in specific regions, it just will not work....
I saw an article about enabling the function in countries that do not support it and showing how to download the Tizen app and modify it to run. There are videos on youtube that may go into more detail

A big thank you to all who replied
Seems my gps location is fine (Scotland UK) and my SIM card (O2 UK) is also fine
However my ECT (Nigeria) CSC must be blocking it
Thanks also to the poster of link to the modded SHM app. I will have a good read through the topic

Just stick to the "easy method" as much as you can, especially if you don't have SHM already installed as system app. A couple of minutes and you're good to go
Failed.on my first attemp bit will keep at it
Update: Wohoo! Working fine. Just downloded 3 files from the GDRIVE link and manually installed. SHM, ECG and BP.
1000 thanks to XDA folks

Question Can't seem to pair Galaxy Watch 4 with Vivo X70 Pro+ with CN Rom

Dear XDA experts,
Please help! I wasn't able to pair my galaxy watch 4 with the x70 pro + with CN rom.
Error message is
"This watch isn't supported on this phone", despite the fact that I've already downloaded both galaxy wear and galaxy watch 4 plugin.
Anyone able to pair or know of a solution?
I also made the very same experience. it was mentioned in a review a week ago too. so i guess there is no solution right now.

What a pity.. thanks bro.
Since the Galaxy watch 4 relys on wearOS you should be able to pair it with the chinese wearOS app.
I got a GLOBAL Version of the Oppo watch with wearOS and had the same problem. But it worked with that solution... give it a try

This is true, I also ran into this with my new ticwatch, we need to install the Chinese WearOS then the normal WearOS can pair the watch. and won't get stuck trying so.
Thanks so much hyperX- and Djorgio! Will give it a try!
My wife is having this issue. She's trying to connect a Fossil Q Venture. She already downloaded Wear Os China, she opened china app and it says device isn't compatible, please download correct version from Play store. She already had the play store version installed. She retried after installing china version but it still stays stuck on the splash screen...Any suggestions? What version of china wear os and regular wear os are you running? Could you offer a more detailed step by step of what you actually did to get it working? Would really appreciate that.
Hello everybody! If You have found a solution to this issue, please let me know. I have the same problem with a vivo Nex 3S trying to connect to a Galaxy watch4 classic. Thank You so much in advance!

Did you use the WearOs from Vivo Store?
Anyone managed to sync their Garmin watches? According to Garmin's website, the Garmin Connect app requires that the phone "natively support the Google Play store". Guess we're out of luck then... Can't find a Garmin App in Vivostore that could be a solution...?
There may be some confusion about where to get the correct WearOS software to work on the CN firmware. My wife's Galaxy 4 watch stopped working with her Huawei Mate 20 X recently after the phone received a firmware update from Android 11 to Android 12 (it is an older Huawei phone so isn't impacted by the US technology ban on Huawei). After a lot of searching I discovered that if we completely uninstalled the WearOs and Watch Plugin from the phone, and then reinstalled it - NOT from the Google Play Store - but rather from Huawei's App Gallery, then voila, it worked! I have had the same issue with my Galaxy Buds2 on my Vivo X Note (CN firmware). If I uninstall the WearOS software and the Buds Manager plugin from the phone, and then reinstall them from the Vivo App Store they work. The app looks to be identical to the Play Store version, but as an interesting aside it has some Chinese language in a few of the settings submenus. I think Samsung makes one version of their app for Chinese phones, and a different version for Global phones.
I downloaded the wear os from the Vivo asp store and keep getting stuck on the getting yogurt Watch details screen (this is on the Vivo x fold)

* No a full solution currently.
Try to download the Samsung Health app and connect from the Accessories (triple dot -> Settings -> Accessories -> Smartwatch -> Register) option, this should forward you to the official Samsung SSO and allow the association with the device.
Also, make sure to:
1. Backup the watch to a Samsung account before you start because you will have to reset it.
2. Download the necessary Plugin and Manager apps to your Vivo device as they are required by the process.
* I did this to associate my Galaxy watch 4 with the Vivo x80 pro, I'm still working on making it fully connected because it does disconnect but that is some progress in that direction.
Edit: It did fully connect, now I just have to access it through the Health App path but other than that the watch can be managed through the manager app and works the same.
Hello, I have the fold x here in Canada and I am trying to pair my samsung galaxy watch4 classic. I tried the chinese wear os and the normal one, I installed the plugin but it says my phone is not supported? Any help appreciated.

Hi dude, looks like I found a solution, uninstall Wearable and Wear os apps, then download this apk http://samsung-gear.apk.watch/2.2.41.21071361/for/huawei-honor-8, it will install an update to work, and it will install the Wear Os. And that worked like a charm, I hope this works for everyone having the same issue.

He meant Samsung Health Monitor. It is separate app which normally works with Samsung phones only.
Thank you very much, it worked.
And now I look for ROM with call recording.

No need to look for the rom, use dialler with call recording. I use True Phone. It is much better than standard dialler, and way more advanced.

I tested it. It only record a calling person.

How To Guide Pair Galaxy watch 4 to Oneplus 10 Pro ColorOS

Hello,
I have a Oneplus 10 Pro running ColorOS 12.1 and was running into an error saying unable to connect to this device every time I tried to pair my galaxy watch. There isn't much information or tutorials when it comes to using these devices using the ColorOS as it seems as if it was meant for Chinese use only.
I finally got my watch paired with my phone and decided to share my steps here.
1. Install the Samsung Health app from the play store
2. Download an old version of Galaxy wearable app and Galaxy watch4 plugin from apkmirror ( I used versions from December 2021)
3. Pair the watch using Samsung Health by opening the app. Click the 3 dot menu and go to settings>Accessories>Scan for accessories. Once paired it will automatically open the galaxy wear app.
4. Close the galaxy wear app and disable wifi and data on the phone.
5. Open the galaxy wear app again and proceed with the setup but decline all options that require you to sign on the watch with Samsung or Google and proceed by allowing the required permissions.
6. That's it, you should now be paired with your watch and you can now sign into your Samsung account through the wearable app and perform a backup/restore if you like,
Hope this helps anyone out there. This was a real pain in the but for me as I find ColorOS to be more reliable than the mess that OxygenOS is since it's now a fork of ColorOS.
My next task is to find out how to get the Google Backup to work. If anyone has any information on this please let me know.
