Mi 9t pro versions

I am slightly confused by all the different versions of the Mi 9t pro. As of now, MIUI Global 10.3.2. is installed on my phone. Apparently, there are different global versions (global and EEA global).
Two questions:
1. Is it necessary to differentiate between the global and EEA global firmware or can both versions be used/flashed interchangeably? For example, in the LOS 17 thread, only one global firmware has been uploaded/linked.
2. Has Android 10 been released for the Global version? From what I have read so far, it seems that Android 10 has not been released for the global version.

What causes confusion is people referring to any non Chinese version as a global version. Before the European and global versions of the phone arrived most people referred to the Indian ROM as global.
They are all global ROMs, in the wider sense that they all have multiple language options, which is the main reason they all get called global.
However, it is best to think of them in terms of the phone they are made for, in order to avoid confusion. So only referring to the EEA ROM as either a EEA, EU or European version, don't term it as a global version as that should only refer to the version of MIUI for the global phone.
Any MIUI version for the K20/9T Pro can be flashed on any phone. However the bootloader can only be locked with the correct version of MIUI for the phone. Trying to lock it with a different region ROM will brick the phone.
Although LOS17 recommends keeping the correct firmware and vendor for your phone, it isn't strictly necessary. Many users with EEA and global phones have flashed the Chinese firmware and vendor files without any additional issues in LOS. If you wanted to install LOS on a global phone you 'should' be OK flashing EEA MIUI 11 firmware and vendor files before flashing LOS.
AFAIK the global version of MIUI 11 has not yet been released. I can't imagine it being too far behind the EEA version as the 2 are almost identical.

Vendor question

Hello,
I bought a mi 9t pro with eea rom V11.0.5.0.QFKEUXM

OLIVE and OLIVE_EEA differences?

Hello!
I recently bought a Redmi 8, it came with a Global ROM that I updated to MIUI 11.0.7.0 which shows up as the latest version. I'm in EU, and the code name shows up as OLIVE_EEA in the Hidden Settings app.
What are the differences between the OLIVE and OLIVE_EEA variants?
Is this device compatible with regular olive roms, recoveries and other tools?
Global and Eu roms are almost similar. They both are shipped with google apps. They are more privacy friendly. No bloatware. Eu roms are less updated whereas global are updated more frequently. You will notice the current eu rom is still on an older version than global if u install.

Question Is there any difference of hardware between camellia and camellian?

Can I flash official rom from one to the other one?
NO as far as i can see their is no difference but no you cannot flash china rom on global phone or global on china it wont boot
I tested the global and EEA global rom in china device and can be used normally
There is, chinese version (cammelia) has dual rear cameras while global version (camellian) has triple rear cameras.

This is nice to hear that. I flashed my M2103K19C with Indian ROM version (POCO M3 Pro) as it is also Camellia, but it did not boot. Then restored back to Chinese one. If you assure this works I will try as well.
i think that with bootloader unlocked it's possible. maybe the camera will not be fully function (in my case it's not a good idea flash china over eea). boot i'm quite sure phone could boot. many european users have buyd online china device, and converted to eea flashing official firmwares

Question Flashing help poco m3 pro 5g indian version

I want to flash global variant of miui for 12.5 update but poco m3 pro 5g is not globally released global rom is Redmi Note 10 5G Global can i flash it on poco m3 pro 5g with mi flash tool it is safe bootloader is already unlocked attaching about device pic
help needed
if your device cide is camellian, you can switch without problem to global 12.0.6.0. im quite sure you can do because on my store i can set indian language and work without problems. after this flash miui 12.5 via recovery. you can also download the ota package instead of full. but work only for 12.0.6.0 version. use miflash for switch to global (i have used it for switch from eea to global without problems). very important: before flash select option flash all. the default is is flash and lock. if you do this you will hard brick the phone
Yes thanks for reply flashed global 12.5 on Indian version of poco M3 pro 5g without problem by mi flash global ROM is more stable than Indian rom plus most optimize

Yes you have to use redmi note 10 fastboot file because poco brand is not global brand name it only sell in Europe and India as poco brand and rest of world it's known as redmi note 10 as camellian codename both are same poco M3 pro 5g or redmi note 10 5g global version and use same fastboot file
Global fastboot rom Link has same miui build version can be checked after download for extra precautions me too used global redmi note 10 camellian fastboot file to flash poco M3 pro 5g everything works fine best of luck
