Been looking for one for a while and purchased a RavPower 60w PD power bank but only to find it charges the phone only at 18w speed.
I assume the 60w PD is for laptops rather than this phone perhaps? Did notice that Xiaomi has a 20000 mah 3 Pro power bank which supports 45w PD charging but could that also be the same where it will support laptop charging at those speeds but not the Mi 10 Ultra.
Rather than keep buying different ones to test, would appreciate if anyone has had any success with a brand that charges higher speed than 18w?
You need PD/PPS not just PD. You can also try looking for a GaN charger if those exist. People say wall GaN chargers work.
Also, if you can find a qc4/5 bank somehow, those charge faster than that 18w which is I think just qc3.0. I believe the ultra supports up to qc5

Do Power Delivery (PD)-only chargers work with the Mi 9T Pro, and if so, at what speeds and which PD version does it support?
Can't really find any tests on this online, I'm surprised it's not standard to be honest -- using one single PD charger for everything is fast becoming the norm.

Yes. Qualcomm QC4+ adheres to PD standards, it's the first time they've done so. Xiaomi haven't used any proprietary charging, they've relied on QC4+ baked on the SD855. You'll get up to 27W charging, depending on the charger and battery level. I find I'm only getting 27W when the battery is very low, normally it's 24W until it's nearing full, but that might be how my charger chooses to deliver the juice.
Not sure what PD version it's using, but I'm sure a Google/Wiki search on Qualcomm QC4+ will provide an answer somewhere.
Edit: a quick look on wiki says that it's PD 3.0

Oh awesome, what charger are you getting those speeds on if I may ask?
You might've just helped me to make my final decision to get the 9T Pro then. The only thing I'm still hesitant about is the lack of HDMI-out and color-notification. If this phone had color notification and HDMI-out... my lord.

I went for a bit of a gamble on AliExpress and got this one.
https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/tGXqRBeY
It was a brand I hadn't heard of but had good reviews and was cheaper than the known brands. So far I'm happy with it, does exactly what it says on the tin.
For the price there's nothing much to complain about, you start adding on all the nice to have extras and suddenly the phone would be half as much again.

And you got 24-27w through the USB-C PD port? I guess that must be, since QC3 max is 18 watt right. Grand, thanks for the info!
Not so sure regarding the price, although it's a bit difficult to weight the pros and cons sometimes. Take the Black Shark 2, which is great, aside from the absence of NFC, and no bootloader unlocking, but it's around the same price. Putting a color led in there and HDMI out, that would've made the phone pretty much unbeatable, even if it cost 50 euro or so more. It's definitely making me hesitant to purchase, because what if a 9T Pro equivalent comes out with those two things extra for 50-60 euro more? I would be gutted

Yes, the QC3 port only delivers 18W max.
I'm resuming this thread because I'm really confused on how get 27w charge on my Mi 9T Pro.
I'm using a UGreen USB-C cable that supports 60W Power Delivery charge with an Aukey 27W power adapter (ADEQ-ES-PA-Y8-B) with PD 3.0. The maximum current I get (verified using Ampere app) is about 3.150mAh which is the same I get using three different Quick Charge 3.0 power adapters, the only difference is when I use the QC3.0 adapters the phone shows "Quick Charge" text on lock screen + double flash symbols on the battery icon and when I use the PD charger I have no text in lock screen but only the double flash symbols on the battery icon.
Does anyone know if the "Turbo charge" is achievable only using the original Xiaomi 27W Charger?

It's no good looking at only amps. You need to know what voltage is being delivered too.
Watts = volts x amps
I have 2 PD chargers and both charge the phone at the full 27W, when the battery is empty.
I have a 30W PD wall charger which delivers 27W as 12V at 2.25A, but my 30W PD car charger delivers 27W as 9V at 3A

Thanks for your reply. Do you know if there is any chance to read the charging voltage from the phone? Or the only option is use an USB multimeter?

You can get apps which show volts and amps when charging. Search for Ampere in the play store, written by an xda member, I believe.
I'm using Havoc ROM, which shows these on the lock screen when the phone is charging.
However I've seen people say that these may not be accurate and suggest only USB meters give true figures. I've never tried a USB meter, so couldn't say if the figures I see are accurate or not.
Hi to all,
Can we charge S21U with 40W chargers? They are a lot chargers like Huawei, Xiaomi and etc... with 40W and more.
I believe the answer is yes - or at least probably. Most of those newer chargers are "Smart" in that they only provide the volts and amps that are needed by the device being charged. I may be wrong about that, but I don't think so - I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Pretty sure you can, I use a 45 watt "smart" charger on my NOTE 20 Ultra without any issue.
You can use any charger that supports PD (power delivery), AFC or QC2.0
Any 45 watt USBC charger out there is going to be PD standard so you'll be fine.
The downside is, it'll still only charge at 25 watts.
I am charging my s21U with an 40w charger, works without problem. not using 40 watts of course, but its working.
The phone, all phones in fact, will ONLY charge at it's highest speed the phone allows itself to receive, the charger doesn't matter, it can be lower or higher than what the device is recommended for. A lower power charger will just take longer to charge the phone, a higher power charger will just not charge at it's full power if the phone won't accept the full power from the charger.
I've been using the 90w charger from my HP Spectre X360 my S20 Ultra since I got it without a single issue, I still get about 2 days of use per charge on that thing, and now I've been using the same laptop charger on the S21 Ultra and it works just fine.
The phone fast charges normally, doesn't get super hot, works just fine, and I only need to keep laptop chargers around the house, it's great haha
I have a 45W USB-C PD port as part of an Anker PowerPort and also the 18W charger that came with my Pixel 5. Would I notice much of an improvement in charging speed or integrity/longevity of the battery by purchasing Samsung's 25W charger?

That's the charger I've been using w/ S21Ultra (25W from N10+) and I figured out I won't be needing anything bigger then that. Thanks to Samsung 'super fast charging' the 5Ah battery on s21U charges faster then 3.8mA Pixel 4a5G battery(with the same charger). +/- 1 hour and done!
Dear all, are there any powerbanks that can provide Fast Charge for Vivo X70 Pro+?
How about powerbanks with wireless charging? Which is recommended and provide fastest charging speeds for our phones?
Thanks!
Anker powercore II iq is fast, I use it, but there are other models too, perhaps even faster. It works well with the Vanmass 15 w wireless charger too.
Zebronics has a model, ZEBRONICS ZEB-M20MQ100 Power Bank 19200 mAh, 100W Rapid Charging, without wireless charging. Since vivo X70 Pro+ supports fast charging only up to 55W, the charging speed will be limited to the mode supported by the powerbank charging equal to or below this rating. That means, the powerbank has 45W charging and 100W charging modes, but it'll only charge in the 45W mode that's max supported by the phone. Even the charger that's shipped by the phone itself is a 66W charger but it will only charge the phone at 55W.
Just replying in an older thread just in case this comes in handy.
So I have a 45W charger, thinking about purchasing a 65W charger. I know The Tab S8 Plus only goes to 45W.
My question: are there any advantages to using an emark enabled cable?
I'm getting super fast charge notice with a 60W cable, no emark.
In my google searches, someone mentioned you can get "super fact charging 2.0" if you use an emark cable. Other pages said you only need emark above 60W. I found this comment on one site "... the Samsung Note 10+ or S20 Ultra which supports 45W fast charging. With these devices, the maximum electrical current is 4A, therefore it also requires a 5A cable with E-Mark. "
Does anyone know the ins and outs of this?
Thanks,
Joe
Get the recommended Samsung OEM brick and use the cable that comes with it. For the N10+ the 25w brick/cable fast charges fine and lasts for years if you don't roll up the cable.
Charging issues are hard to troubleshoot and non OEM bricks/cables only add to that burden.
At $20 a pop the 25w brick/cable is a no brainer.
So I have managed to answer my own question:
With a normal 3.1A US0b-C to USB-C cable, my 45W power supply is throttled back to 25W. It is reported as "Superfast Charge" mode by the tablet. Using Ampere, it reports that the battery is being charged at 5A at 4.2V --~ 21W
I bought a 100W E-Mark cable, and it now reports "Superfast Charge 2.0" -- and now Ampere reports it has bumped up to 7.5A at 4.36 V. So it is bumped up to 32W. Still not seeing 45W, though.
So it would seem to be charging 50% faster with the new cable.
Joe
I ues this combo for my s8+:
Anker PowerPort III 65W
Anker PowerLine III-Flow
It gives me 28W which is plenty fast for me. I can also use same charger for all of my devices, my laptop included
ok guys, a couple of questions here.
the x90PP comes with an 80 watt flash charger which is proprietary of vivo.
1) would a oneplus charger (say 80 watts) work with fast charging the Vivo at 80 watts? I understood somewhere that any BKK (vivo oppo oneplus etc) chargers are compatible with each other?
2) does anyone know what charging speeds the phone get connected to a PD charger? or GAN?
3) finally would anyone recommend a compatible fast charger for it for car and normal as I need to buy 2 or 3 and leave them at various locations
Thanks

PD charging speed is about 18w.
It will likely also charge with around 18w on the OnePlus charger. The default Vivo charger does charge PD devices but is ultra sensitive on longer cables. Cables that work without problems on other chargers fail on the Vivo charger with my laptop when it comes to speed and drop down to 20w or less.
And 2m cable on the Vivo charger usually meant downgrading the speed to ~18w too. I have no single cable that works full speed on the Vivo Charger with the X90 Pro+ except the Vivo supplied one.
Very likely there is no USB 3.2 compatible cable that supports more than 18w charging. So either fast charging (likely 1.5m max lenght) or fast USB 3.2 transfer speeds. Never both (I don't have 1m cables because I prefer 2m cables and before never had problems with them on other devices/chargers).
The configuration of the Flash charging interferes with USB 3.2 speeds as far as I understood. That's why the Vivo supplied cable is only USB 2.0 Full speed.
It's pretty annoying. I have the feeling I won't be holding on to the phone too long..shame.
1)buggy software.
2)camera nice but buggy.
3) proprietary technology that locks you down in a system you're avoiding (such as apple)
4)at least with the apple ecosystem you get seamless experience and uniformity.
For me sticking to android always was the customizability and aftermarket stuff.
With vivo in particular it is very hard for both. Shame . Such a nice phone but a headache just to find a 6a long cable that works. Or a flash charger that doesn't cost angazzilion dollars to buy on AliExpress.
Sorry, venting.
