When I'm playing a song using my music player, the title of that song shows on my Always On Display. Same with Youtube etc. On my Pixel 3 XL I was able to turn that off, so that the AOD didn't show the song title, but still displayed the time and notification icons.
I can' t remember how I turned it off. Is it possible on the P4 XL?

It's in Settings>>Display>>Lock Screen. You can also do away with the lock screen altogether and jump right to the home screen after face recognition (under face unlock settings)

Hi
When ı was using Nokia n8 there is a screen saver app which is very useful when ı locked the screen it shows some animation and time.
In additon to this you can adjust time interval for night and it become more visible that hours so you can use it as a digital clock.
However although I downloaded a number of application for my note. These applications works like aother applications I mean if you close the screen by pressing power button then screen totaly offline. You can only see the digital clock while screen is on.
So I am sure iti is my mistake but if you can show the right setting I can use it.
Thanks
Then wait for ICS to come..

install NoLED from the market. its free and has very good features. go to settings and enable '"Display Time" feature.
I just upgraded to Pandora Premium on my Nexus 6 and all of a sudden I don't have lock controls, nor does it show up in the top bar (notifications bar).
I used to always be able to pause a song on the lock screen, now it's totally gone.
Pandora 1 never had this problem.
Does anyone have any idea why this is?
It's driving me nuts.
Thanks-

Off topic, but that's a really old version of Pure Nexus.
Have you checked both Pandora's settings as well as the phone's?
My dumb mistake. I realized I had notifications shut off for Pandora in the app settings. Once I re-enabled the notifications and rebooted, everything works again.
Thanks
I like to use split-screen combos of Maps + Spotify, or some other audio apps. But every time I've set up my split screens, and then turn off the screen, and later turn it back on, I see the full Maps app — it cancels the multi-window mode! This is very annoying. It looks like it has something to do with Map's "feature" of being able to show above the lock screen .
I don't have this issue with other app pairs.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Can I do anything about this?
This is an issue I've had with stock-based 8.0 ROMs (currently using JanJan's .235). If I'm using any music player, and the screen is off, once the song is over sometimes the next song will not play. As soon as I turn on the screen and show the lockscreen, the next song starts.
Anyone else experiencing this, or found a fix? I'm sure if I use something that forces a wake lock it would fix the problem, but that wouldn't be good on the battery life.

Go into settings\battery - press the three dots top right - power saving exceptions. Add your music player to the exceptions list.

Thanks, I've already done this. It did not fix the problem, unfortunately.
I ran into the same problem: I solved it by not only adding Blackplayer to the Power Saving Exceptions (PSE), but also checking "Wake lock" under Settings/Audio/More". Not sure if other players feature a similar option.
Alternatively, it might be necessary to look for a system process, which is also necessary for music playback and add it to PSE.
I have customized my Lock screen using lockstar. So for quick access, I have three apps, that is, Camera, Flashlight and Spotify.
The first two work without unlocking phone, but I have to unlock the device in order to use Spotify. Is there a way to bypass the lock screen, but prevent someone from entering phone through Spotify.
For example, if using camera from lock screen, you can take pictures but when pressing home button, you are returned to lock screen. Can I do something with Spotify too?
Also, how do I enable Spotify controls like Scribble music and control volume and have Album Cover, because on lock screen I have nothing.
I use Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (Exynos, 128GB/6GB) if that helps
