[Q]

Can someone please tell me how to re-root my captivate. I have Froyo upgrade but my usb to computer wont allow me to access my phones internal memory.

1- How about you actually put a thread title
2- You should search the Dev section since this is your first post
3- You should search the Dev section since that is where the info is to root your phone
4- You didn't forget to check usb debugging did you?
5- Return to stock and re-flash 2.2

It would be nice if the admins forced new users to actually read all the rules before they do this.

Trouble Unlocking the Bootloader - LG Optimus - With the objective of rooting.

Hi there,
I of course have an LG Optimus 4 XD, P880. My objective is to root the phone.
I have tried Kingoroot = Fail, not compatible with Framaroot, I searched on google and youtube and found an article on unlocking the bootloader using the classic ADB and Fastboot method:
I tried that method, opened the command prompt typed in " adb reboot bootloader" --->> All that did was reboot the phone into normal mode.
I then proceeded to type in "fastboot oem unlock" and then it just hangs for eternity with the line "waiting for device":

As you can tell it does detect the phone.
I am currently running Android 4.03.
What should I do?

I need help rooting.

I have rooted my phone with no problem before. I have even installed custom ROMs.
However I have had my phone repaired because of a hardware issue. I did the same steps I did before. Tick the OEM unlock found in the developers options on. And began flashing TWRP again. It gave me an "only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed" error when I was on download mode and ODIN said it had failed. This was weird for me because I had OEM unlock switched on. I then read about the RMM.
That's when I found it and the KG state was PRENORMAL. I had followed other posts regarding how to fix this like turning back the date etc. But I could only get the OEM unlock part to work and still get PRENORMAL. HELP PLS! I am on March OneUI build

In short: I found some sketchy Android 10 update for Nokia 8, tried it out, did not work. Tried to restore my TWRP backup, did not work. Tried to bring back stock firmware via OST LA, did not work. I then flashed stock Oreo November 2018 boot image, and got into my Pie, but WiFi wasn't working. I then flashed pre-Magisk-rooted pre-TWRP-installed boot image, and WiFi works. However...
When my phone boots, it boots with Android logo instead of Nokia's
My phone is detected as Dual SIM, even tho it is not.
When I try to flash OTAs via TWRP, it doesn't work
I am looking for a solution on how to remove the Dual SIM problem and how to make my phone again boot with a classic Nokia logo. Any help? Thanks in advance!

[CLOSED] Phone restarting after pattern unlock

Hi all, i really need help with the problem I have.
I've just replaced my broken screen (with frame).
However, the phone keep restarting itself once I've unlocked it using the pattern.
I heard wiping/factory reset will fix this, before I wipe the data, I really need to save all the data inside....I can't use USB debugger since I can't even unlock the screen to choose the usb debugging option.
What if I install TWRP via fastboot then flash other ROM, will this save my data?
