Bluetooth allows it to connect to Bluetooth headsets and stuff from the app itself.
Disable keylock to allow you to accept calls from the app even when your screen is locked.
Audio record I'm guessing is to allow you to record from the app? But I'm not sure.
Viber has an SMS system in it...
Think of the others and how they can be implemented to HELP in using the app, rather than spy on you. Also, read all the conditions for all the other apps like it, and you will see that they are all very simular.
Use your common sense man, if it was malicious it would have been noticed officially and removed from the playstore.

Sending photos direct from camera? Pretty obvious really, this Thread is a waste of time and effort, there is nothing malicious there at all. Every thing can easily justified by valid functionality in the apps usage.

Haha there are official Viber people roaming around XDA. Maybe one of them would see and offer this kid a legit explanation.

Yes, haha. I'm just guessing to be honest with you, but I would say that most of the permissions are common sense.

Yeah it is. There is a legit explanation for these permissions. I mean it's one of the most downloaded apps on the market and only HE decided to check the permissions?
viber
i dont know but i hope you read this carefully again
allows appplication to take pictuers and videos with the camera this allows the application at >>any time collect images the camera is seeing
THats on the website googleplay:
Allows the app to take pictures and videos with the camera. This permission allows the app to use the camera at >>>any time without your confirmation<<<<
i dunno you guys being so silly or brainwashed i dunno ? maybe you need to read more carefuly next time before you make fun off things you have no clue about -)
Well you can find excuses and say thats realy normal but its up to if you want to be 1 eyed or not =) + its up to you its your device and your life if you want an app control it its up to you but mine wont be =)

This is the ONLY way camera permissions are granted for an app. So the app developer has no choice but to include this permission whether he likes it or not. The "any time" part is beyond the developers control. Heck even Google Search requires this same permission. View the android manifest for more details. Don't be alarmed.
PS. Buddy I have rolled around in Android. So if you saying I have "no clue about" it is an understatement.
OP thanks for the Warning and Users will decide what they want to set their permissions for their apps. Thanks.
good day guys.....
i just want to ask one thing....
last time i use the untouch frmware on my lg op 4x hd
and i like the message notification box (dont know how to call that)
when ever you open any apps or u open browser then someone will sms u
u can see small message box that u can reply straight even i watch movie i can stll reply smsand it wont cover the movie i play..
now im using dfrnt rom and someone sms me there is no pop up notification or mini message box appear.
how to display the message notification box?
if u guys understand what im talking about, please help me...
thanks a lot............
I know what you mean. It's called the quick reply option. If the rom/SMS app got this feature you will probably see it in the settings/SMS settings.
If not, there's a ton of third party SMS apps which are able to do this

i have called t-mobile customer care just to find out if battery drain is a common issue, of course they denied it. But i was surprised to know that representative knew what apps are installed on my phone. Are they snooping ? Is it via T-mobile my account app ?
They shouldn't be via the app and it doesn't cause any excess drain at all.

Obviously they would know about all the stock apps that ship with the phone, which there are many of.
Did they know about apps you installed yourself too? That would be surprising...

+1 the My T-Mobile app can also tell if you are rooted and report it to a remote server. Only if you agreed to the diagnostic option

com.tmobile.pr.adapt may also report root status, so I put that on the SuperSU deny list.
i have just disabled my account app. how to uncheck diagnostic data option ? thanks.
I believe it is an option inside of that app actually.
I remember on the older models you could get small apps. Is there a way I could get them on this phone?
I'm running omnirom rooted with magisk.
- tried installing the framework however nothing happens.
Thanks

Hi bro as In you know when you press the sqaure button and your recent apps come up there used to be buttons where they would pop up a mini window version of the app for example browser... It would open a mini window that you can move around ontop of the app you're already on.
"Floating apps" I don't want to install 3rd party application
I've attached a screenshot of a 3rd party app but it's exactly like this

Man that was a good feature. I'll just use the 3rd party app instead.
Thanks again
