Hi all,
I have some kind of weird issue with LineageOS on my Mi8 that prevent me from using IPv6 through the mobile network. I'll give you the maximum information so it could be easier to find what went wrong.
So, first, I can confirm that IPv6 will work on my Xiaomi Mi8 (dipper) with the stock ROM (MIUI) but also from others Xiaomi devices with the stock MIUI ROM (both my parents use a Xiaomi with Miui with the same ISP as I do and using the same antenna) and I can also confirm that it will work on Lineage (with an old unofficial version on a spare phone) on the Xiaomi Redmi 4 (Prada).
It will also work on the Mi8 through Wi-Fi, it's only IPv6 through mobile network who doesn't work.
So I can confirm that on the ISP side, everything work. Using the stock ROM, it will work. Using Lineage on another Xiaomi phone with the same sim-card, it will work. But for a reason that I can't find, on the Xiaomi Mi8 with the latest nightly (or even other variant, like Lineage for microG that I usually use), it will not work. The APN show IPv6 only in the settings (I forced it and confirm it saved the settings) but only IPv4 work.
Xiaomi Mi8 - dipper who doesn't work :
- Android version: 10
- LineageOS version: 17.1-20201231-NIGHTLY-dipper
- Lineage OS Api level: Ilama (9)
Xiaomi Redmi 4 - prada who work:
- Android version: 6.0.1
- LineageOS version: 13.0-20170219-UNOFFICIAL-prada
- Lineage OS Api level: Fig (6)
Is there some kind of proprietary firmware I need to flash?
I can do some test since I already wiped and reinstalled from scratch, the phone is pretty much empty.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello guys, today I just clean flashed the latest lineageOS build for my xiaomi mi 3, But when I was in MIUI 9, My internet speed was normal, but after I flashed the latest LineageOS, My internet speed suddenly became slow but I can connect to the internet. It's just too slow for my device when i flashed the rom. Is the rom the problem or is it our internet/router?

It's an option in 3 dots
That's for wifi , but for mobile network it has become very slow
The ping is high too
I guess this thread is outdated as hell, but AFAIK you should be able to fix it by changing "Preferred network type" in Cellural network settings -> Advanced (at least it helped on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 5).
I should be changed to best you got available.
WARNING: You'll most probably loose ALL your data, and might break your phone. Please use with extreme caution!
This is a fully custom ROM for the Huawei Mate 9, derived from the AOSP Pie device tree for the HiKey960 development board, with minimal usage of the existing Huawei vendor stack.
This ROM does include Gapps for Pie.
IMPORTANT: See the broken features below. Most importantly: Phone and cellular is currently entirely non-functional, as there is no RIL implemented. If I can get away with it, I'm not importing code from Huawei's existing vendor stack. The graphics stack is fully sourced from the HiKey960 development board sources, as provided by Google on the Driver Binaries page for AOSP; the only blobs which are sourced directly from the Mate 9 system images are the device firmware blobs from /vendor/firmware.
Working features:
Basic graphics hardware acceleration & 3d support.
Wifi
Bluetooth (partial: kernel wakelock permanently held, preventing deep sleep. Generally functional, you will need to bring over your MAC address and configure it yourself.)
Touchscreen
Notification LED
Screen brightness
USB
Fast charging
Vibration
Battery information
Broken or not hooked up yet:
Reboot / shutdown: always cycles to eRecovery. (BFM is disabled, so the loader doesn't know that boot was successful.
Audio via wired headset, earpiece, speaker. (Bluetooth audio works. Over USB-C, untested.)
Cellular. (No RIL yet.)
SD card.
Camera
Fingerprint sensor
NFC
Any and all sensors.
GPS
More that I have yet to list, I'm sure.
Installation Instructions
Make note of your bluetooth hardware address.
Factory reset your device, preferably using stock recovery. TWRP builds will not work once this ROM is installed.
Install the kernel, ramdisk, and system image with fastboot.
Boot the system
Once booted: adb shell setprop persist.service.bdroid.bdaddr <your bluetooth hardware address>
Notes
The image is pre-rooted (it is an AOSP "eng" build). ADB is on by default, running as root, with no authentication.
Even though it is pre-rooted, I still recommend installing Magisk for the time being. Use the ramdisk image provided here with "Patch Boot Image". Magisk 17.1 with Magisk Manager 5.9.1 work. (Installing Magisk also works around a few other issues - for example, Developer Options is completely inaccessible on the default install.)

Wooohoo .. is amazing .. more roms .. thanks .. dev ..?
You are amazing Man. I hope you will do it fully functional as soon as. Thanks bro.
Thank you much.
I tried this ROM. But too much bugs. I had to roll back to original EMUI ROM.
Hope you can fix the bugs in future.
Thank you very much for your efforts anyway.

I'm planning on it.
There's a lot of work to do - cellular, audio, basic sensors, camera - none of those things are even there yet.
What's there works, unfortunately as you can tell, that's not a lot yet.
Are you still working on the rom? Any progress? tried to build lineage?
I am still working on it.
Not even considering Lineage at this point - just trying to get a complete device tree constructed, of which there are a lot of pieces to construct (not the least of which because I'm basically building it up from scratch, instead of using Huawei's vendor image).
Development in Kirin is very difficult. So far only see aosp rom in Honor 8 pro based on 7.1. Which is very similar to Mate 9
Anyone tested Android Auto with Lineage-16.0 ? I have problem on Redmi 4a with permissions - when it asks about permission to draw on another apps, after I accept that it still wants this, can't continue setup.
Same thing with others ROM 9.0.0 as Havoc-OS-v2.5 ,AospExtended V6.2, SuperiorOS-Nemesis.....
Android Auto works perfectly with original MIUI 10 (android 7.1), what could it be? (selinux, opengapps, vendor partition...)
Thx for answer
Title says it all.
I've tested different versions of several ROMs (Lineage, crDroid, Omni, running either over Android 8 or 9) and I haven't been able to find a single ROM where Bluetooth LE (i.e: syncing to Mi Band / Amazfit Bip) works at all.
That's the reason I even tried with phh-Treble GSI (see my other thread).
Do you have any recommendation?
Thanks!
I use Bootleggers Rom 4.3 Android 9 and its damn stable,no issues all is working perfect,i use it with morfuz kernel, alle fine.

I use Havoc OS 2.9 ... Its stable but haven't tried Mi Band ( don't have one)
Hello, i installed Lineage OS based on Android 12.1 and 13 (A/B, vanilla, noSU).
Andy Yan's personal builds // GSI - Browse /lineage-20-td at SourceForge.net
sourceforge.net
In Both versions the WiFi disconnects 2 Minutes after locking the screen.
I looked into the logcat and found out it is an IPv6 bug. Disabling Ipv6 in the WiFi Router fixed the problem. Another workaround is to disable IPv6 over ADB.
The Problem is, some services rely on IPv6 which is why i dont want to disable it in the router. The ADB Workaround is just temporary, since it enabled again after a reconnection. This Bug is present for many years and different devices.
The LineageOS build are based on the TrebleDroid GSIs. This problem is also present in the TrebleDroid GSIs. Not a specific LineageOS problem.

Does someone know a fix or workaround for this? Maybe a dev was dealing with this problem in the past and knows what needs to be done. I would really like to use Lineage OS 20 since it works pretty well and to get rid of google and huawei services. And of course latest security patches. But the permanently disconnecting WiFi is a dealbreaker. If not, the only option for me is going back to stock rom and debloat it via adb.
How did you install A11 and A12 on P10 when they have builds only for A/B devices from Android 12.
So last builds supporting from them should be LOS 18.1

you need to rebrand it, go and find p10 oeminfo collection xda thread and there download the VTR-TL00 C01, its the only oeminfo that can rebrand to harmonyOS because the build number matches to current HarmonyOS selected. but i dont think its a good idea updating your device to harmonyOS because you will lose the functionality of booting to recovery using vol and power button, the procedure of flashing gsi in CN is also different compared to others, you need to factory reset first before flashing the gsi.

find me on telegram my username @pedrojvan, also emui 9.1 and harmonyOS have smaller system partiton size which you can only flash small vanilla gsi but thank goodness altairFR made an easy tool kit to repartition our huawei phones without any hastle or "risk". you can just download it on telegram also on sf, ig.
