Internet is very slow on LineageOS (latest build) on xiaomi mi 3w - Mi 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, today I just clean flashed the latest lineageOS build for my xiaomi mi 3, But when I was in MIUI 9, My internet speed was normal, but after I flashed the latest LineageOS, My internet speed suddenly became slow but I can connect to the internet. It's just too slow for my device when i flashed the rom. Is the rom the problem or is it our internet/router?

It's an option in 3 dots

That's for wifi , but for mobile network it has become very slow
The ping is high too

I guess this thread is outdated as hell, but AFAIK you should be able to fix it by changing "Preferred network type" in Cellural network settings -> Advanced (at least it helped on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 5).
I should be changed to best you got available.

[ROM][7.1/8.1][Gucci] the mokee 71/81 for redmi note 1s(Gucci)

I am using translation applications to communicate with you, because I am not good at English.
Just recently, mokee ROM officials "guaiyihu" fixed bugs in the Gucci source code and upgraded Gucci to mokee 71 (Android 7.1.2) and mokee 81 (Android 8.1), without any bugs affecting everyday use. All hardware drivers were working properly and supported hardware decoding.
Because of the official mokee strategy, I won't provide ROM and recovery for you to download. Please read the notes carefully.
Both mokee71 and mokee81 can be downloaded from the official website of mokee, and its links are
Https://download.mokeedev.com/? Device=gucci
It is noteworthy that:
1. When browsing Mokee's official website, you need to turn off all ad blocking applications and make sure that your hosts file does not block ads on the official website. This is because the ROM can not be downloaded normally after screening advertisements. Mokee
2. Mokee is a custom-built ROM for localization of Chinese users. If you're not in China now, you may need "vpn" to browse the site.
3. Mokee's ROM can be brushed in using the recovery provided by Mokee's official website, which can be found in the ROM download interface. If you don't do this, you may not normally flash mokee.
I will provide a Chinese version of the instructions below. I hope that a good Chinese partner will help me explain the translation more accurately.
I find that only the Chinese version of the picture version may be issued.

thank a lot about you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mobile data issue in mokee
Please help I am getting serious network issue in this mokee ROM.
after some time the network disappears and when it reappear the mobile data is not working, it is on but not working, and FYI my APN is ok.
here are the screenshots of before and after

Tested 8.1 personally and it's pretty good. No major issue when using this rom for daily use. And there's nightly patch which is also good. I really recommend this rom for whoever that still use their Gucci aka Redmi Note Prime.
Sent from my HM NOTE 1S using Tapatalk
Stuck in set up menu because touch isn't working properly in either of mokee rom 7.1 /8.1
thx!

Low mobile data rate

Hi,
currently I'm using the latest dev Firmeware fw_gemini_miui_MI5Global_8.11.22_c5d7ee6745_8.0 with Havoc-OS 2.3[9.0] and have a mobile internet data rate by around 0,03 MB/s - Independent from any locations.
My local carrier is "Klarmobil" as a sub-brand of Telekom (Germany) with H+ (no LTE). I tried a lot with APN settings. I was a bit confused as normally after installing a new ROM a APN setting SMS is received to apply profile - Not with Android 9. So I called the support and did the APN settings by hand - Nothing changed.
Same issue with Resurrection Remix 7.0.0 based on Android 9 with same Firmware. You have any idea?
Regards,
Georg

Hi,
thanks for you reply. 3 more (maybe stupid) questions:
1. I was thinking that a non dev version lock the Bootloader again?
2. I always read something about the latest dev Version in the Rom section - Is this compatible with any Android 9 ROM?
3. Can I dirty flash the Firmware or need to do a clean wipe?
Regards

All Pie Roms i cant choose network operator manually?

Hello,
with all Pie Roms i have tested (LineageOs,RRemix,Syberia)
i cant change the network operator! When i go to Settings > Network&Internet > Mobile Network > Automatically select network
It will search for Network operators. Then i select one and it will choose the last one i had. And the network search jump to automatic again?
If i go back to latest LOS 15.1 everything works fine!
Firmwares tested
10.2.2.0 stable global
8.11.22 global
Hi,
i tested again
in the last weeks i flashed all Pie roms for Gemini again
Syberia Project; AospExtended ROM V6.5; crDroid v5.4; LineageOS 16, Citrus
i have two Mi5 32gb and 64gb and tested different firmwares
And nothing changed and downgraded back to LineageOs 15.1.
But the newest Syberia Project i flashed yesterday everything works ! :highfive:
Maybe it depends on the country and SIM card Provider? I have the same issue and cannot select Network Manually, would need to do so cause this SIM card is new and just roaming cause its US card used in Europe, how to force a command line Network scan? Moreover I had this issue in 15.1, too. N910V Verizon Note 4
Tested again with LineageOs nightly 27.06.2019
Still same problem.
In Germany near Switzerland i have swiss operators and cant change to german ones.
Tested sim cards Telekom,Vodafone and o2
On LineageOS 15.1 and Syberia Project 2.6 all is OK
I have observed it as well. The bug is tracked here: https://gitlab.com/LineageOS/issues/android/issues/335 and the patch should be already merged: https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_packages_services_Telephony/+/243706

IPv6 not working only with LineageOS on the Xiaomi Mi8 (dipper)

Hi all,
I have some kind of weird issue with LineageOS on my Mi8 that prevent me from using IPv6 through the mobile network. I'll give you the maximum information so it could be easier to find what went wrong.
So, first, I can confirm that IPv6 will work on my Xiaomi Mi8 (dipper) with the stock ROM (MIUI) but also from others Xiaomi devices with the stock MIUI ROM (both my parents use a Xiaomi with Miui with the same ISP as I do and using the same antenna) and I can also confirm that it will work on Lineage (with an old unofficial version on a spare phone) on the Xiaomi Redmi 4 (Prada).
It will also work on the Mi8 through Wi-Fi, it's only IPv6 through mobile network who doesn't work.
So I can confirm that on the ISP side, everything work. Using the stock ROM, it will work. Using Lineage on another Xiaomi phone with the same sim-card, it will work. But for a reason that I can't find, on the Xiaomi Mi8 with the latest nightly (or even other variant, like Lineage for microG that I usually use), it will not work. The APN show IPv6 only in the settings (I forced it and confirm it saved the settings) but only IPv4 work.
Xiaomi Mi8 - dipper who doesn't work :
- Android version: 10
- LineageOS version: 17.1-20201231-NIGHTLY-dipper
- Lineage OS Api level: Ilama (9)
Xiaomi Redmi 4 - prada who work:
- Android version: 6.0.1
- LineageOS version: 13.0-20170219-UNOFFICIAL-prada
- Lineage OS Api level: Fig (6)
Is there some kind of proprietary firmware I need to flash?
I can do some test since I already wiped and reinstalled from scratch, the phone is pretty much empty.
Thanks in advance for your help!

The best Santoni ROM of 2020.

Which of the ROMs used in 2020 would you recommend my?
What ROM did you use in 2020 and you were delighted with it.
I now use a Havoc version 2.7.
I tried Havoc 3 3 times, but there are missing Havoc 2 settings. I use frequently this settings.
The only thing that bothers me about Havoc 2, the apk starts very hard, and the GPS ... loses the signal frequently.
What Rom do you recommend to be installed?
