is teds tools or noled the only kinda sorta way around pressing the power button to turn the screen on while talking on your phone after it goes dark? i press my power button while on the phone during a call and it drops the call.
you should just have to pull the phone away from your face, or turn it flat while on a call to turn the screen on.
The captivate has a proximity sensor that has the screen turn on when it pulls away from your face. If the screen is not turning on, there could be a problem with the sensor.
how about when using a bluetooth headset or headphones? i just called myself and set the cell phone down until it went dark, picked it up and not even teds would pop back up so i pushed the power button and it cut me off again.

WTH is teds???
guess it was a bug with the cognition rom. i started getting process errors during phone calls when i dialed out. removed the rom, reset to factory and the problems are gone. i can now push the power button to light the screen up during a call without it cutting the call. but im still planning on taking it back to trade it for an atrix
Well my HD2's volume buttons are broken. And I never use those buttons anyways.
I figured it would make it look slicker if I can get my hands on a battery cover that doesn't have a cutout for the volume buttons...
Any suggestions?
As the title says, my power button feels recessed on the lower portion of the button itself. The top portion until the middle has a great tactile feedback click(NOT haptic/vibrate feedback) yet the lower portion doesn't have this feel. Is it defective? To further explain it, the lower portion does not have a notable click, instead its squishy. Sometimes when explicitly pressing the lower portion to wake or sleep, it does not register and requiring more pressure to make it happen.
My volume buttons switch feedback feel great. Anyone else with this problem?
Today I found out that the lower half of my volume button was jammed into the phone itself, the top half still sort of works.
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how fix this or any replacements to use instead, at the moment I'm thinking of assigning the lock button to turn volume down and use a dt2w kernel instead.
I was in my corridor and I accidentally slipped as the floor was wet due to rains. And due to some bad luck my phone slipped out of my pocket and hit the table which caused the sent on the volume rocker on the volume up side of the phone and from them the volume rocker is not working on up side and power button although working to open camera on double press is not able to off and on the display of the phone. What can I do and can anybody give an estimate for the repair of the phone?
