well im sc...d my A51 is on black screen after flashing it via twrp on A51 FD. I cannot even connect to odin neither can i go in twrp
Edit
after multiple tries some how connected to odin and flashed back again as couldnt boot to recovery or download mode everywhere black screen and absurd samsung behaviour of keeping connected to pc to boot into odin.
I finally managed to change bootsplash by opening bootloader stock file and change image with 7Zip ZS which allows to open lz4 files and then flash with odin 3.14.4 Patched version.....

Wow dude, relax.
I really didn't mean to offend you.
I've been in the same shoe you have been. Likewise, I just find it funny that we get into this trouble just because we wanted to change the boot animation, lol.
This thread was on the first page of this section.
Unfortunately, there isn't much development and community activity.

Hm huge delay but
Bootlogo changes have already been made with this template (U can found it in a51 telegram group), its very strange
Is it possible to change the splash screen of another samsung model using this PARAM Builder? I did a lot of research on how to change the samsung splash screen here on the XDA forums, but I only found old threads. I used some procedures, but without success. Could you take a look at my topic, and see if the procedures I've done are correct?
Thread 'Help me to change my samsung's splash screen' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/help-me-to-change-my-samsungs-splash-screen.4305227/
After some testing, I've managed to figure out that if you use some desktop image editing tool it might change the color profile because the image doesn't have one in its meta data, and flashing with those images may cause the boot loader to essentially soft brick because it fails to display the image. Restore the original bootloader with odin or heimdall to fix that.
I have managed to extract an icc profile from an image and it appears to be working no problem now, here's the icc profile if you need it.

managed some soft bricks in how not to root. Odin up & waiting if a dev comes up with it
I am also waiting for the root!
not sure if it would work, but im working on a rom right now that is pre-rooted, but like i said i dont think that it will work,, i hope someone makes a cwm recovery soon
I'm currently trying to create a prerooted rom the way I did it for my tablet.
Extracting the system image from the Update package was easy, currently I'm trying to mount the syste,.img to set the rights and add the SU binaries.
If this works out, how can I flash this ROM?
With KIES? Or Update.zip on SD?
Is there an Update mode, and how can I get there?
edit: Okay... I was able to mount the System.img, but this is not that straight forward as in the img of my tablet.
I found a lot of folders, but no .apk, known folder or something I could work with.

Hi guys, I'm pretty new here.
I was wondering if there is any official 4.1.1 Jellybean for SIII Mini, 'cause my phone is pretty dead at this moment. I tried to download from official servers some packages , and use them with Odin ...but the phone is still at the main screen " Samsung Galaxy S III Mini GT-I8190 ". Any ideas how to manage with this ?
Or can I use another firmware, as 2.3.4 Gingerbread? To downgrade the device just to work?

Do you tried to get some of this firmwares:
samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I8190
and installing with:
trickytweaks.com/i8190xxaljl-4-1-1-jelly-bean-update-gt-i8190-s3-mini-how-to.htm
Yes, I have tried with my provider's firmware , but nothing happened. Still at logo screen. I have also tried with other firmwares, but still at a dead end. Right at this moment I'm flashing my phone again, hoping that something will change.
Had it stuck by flashing custom boot.img. Solved it by flashing 1 file image from samfirmwares as pda in Odin 1.85 default settings
Sent from my GT-I8190 using xda app-developers app
I have succesfully extracted the PIT file from my S3 mini with the Heimdall software, but I don't wanna use it to flash with Odin because I think it's pretty messed up. Can anyone provide me with their Galaxy S3 Mini PIT file, hoping to rescue my dead phone ?
no boot into recovery mode and wipe data/cache that should get the phone booting again, esppecially after flashing firmwares with odin

Well, if the recovery mode can be accessed with Volume Up + Home + Power, then I can say that my S III Mini won't get into it.If I press these buttons the phone just gets on, and remains at Samsung Logo. So that is why I'm asking for a PIT file, 'cause I can't get into recovery mode to erase all data, so I can flash my phone again using Odin.
I have tried all official firmwares and still nothing. I guess my SIII Mini partitions are a little (or a little more) messed up, and I need to use Re-Partition from Odin so I can revive my phone. And to do this I need a PIT file from a working phone.
Or there is another way to get into recovery mode, excepting Volump Up + Home + Power?
Thanks for the answers.

Well, the NsPro tool requiers a box, that costs 170$. The program is useless without that box. I have downloaded it and doesn't work without that box.Another solution is by using a JTAG box, which does the pretty same thing, but again, it is expensive.
I was thinking that if I'll repartion my phone it will resolve the boot.img file, because it's in the "softbrick" at this moment.
helpline
Have you tried emailing or phone SAMSUNG`s helpline, they might help.
Write this image file whit odin 1.85 and voala you phone revive.
Pls use tanks buton
That param.tar file I saw it is for S II . Does it work for a S III mini too? Aren't 2 different devices?
Hello,
I'm pretty newbie when dealing with phones, yet pretty good with PCs in general. Which throws me off is mainly term used which means nothing to me. So I'll be as blunt as possible:
how can I reinstall my Samsung Galaxy Ace? Like a fresh install... I tried to do various things with it, ended up by installing jellybean 4.0 and not sure where but it went wrong but it doesn't boot now. I can enter PX-Recovery window, use all rooted functions. Best result I had was when device was booting after "installing a rom from sd card" was a blue screen when loading or just bright screen like the device is on yet nothing else.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can flash a fresh stock rom using Odin 4.38
Follow this guide
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034145?
Here you have a useful Q&A Thread (How to get Root + CWM 5.0.2.6 Fixed, flash a stock rom, and many more...)
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42293402
I was digging that thread and I couldn't find any working links. That thread led to few others websites/threads which also had OPS + Odin links thought they were useless too because none of the download links worked..
Any idea where could I get those OPS files from? I've managed to find Odin 4.38, now I only need the OPS.

Shouldn't the zip contain all the OPS files that I would need to input in Odin?
Extract previously downloaded firmware
Open ODIN 4.38 on your PC and change OPS file name to
Cooper_v1.0.ops
Select from extracted archive: OPS-OPS, Boot-APBOOT, Phone-MODEM, PDA-CODE, CSC-CSC (leave EFS and One Package empty)
If archive contains only <filename>.tar.md5 select it as PDA and OPS as OPS, leave other fields EMPTY

Restore a backup if you want and enable USB debug mode, unistall Kies, re-install Samsung drivers and try again using Odin.
You can try changing the USB port too (even using other PC, if you can [friend, brother, father...])

Anyone who wants to be on the most recent firmware and cannot use the OTA
Anyone who wants to downgrade *Unknown at this time downgrade at your own risk

Linux and Mac users must follow the Odin method using the correct PIT file (will upload soon) and substitue Odin with Jodin3 found HERE and spam AdamOutler thanks button for making Jodin3 (AP in odin is PDA in jodin)
How to enter Download Mode
Make sure your device is completely off
Hold Volume Down + Home
While holding both of them simultaneously press the Power button until you see the disclaimer on the screen
Then let go of all the buttons and press Volume Up

Download and extract Odin (v3.10.6)
Download extract and install [Unified Driver Installer] (looking for the proper driver, please tell me if you have the latest unified)
Download firmware from the centralized location HERE
Enter Download Mode
If you have Kies installed make sure it is closed (check the task bar) then plug in your phone and wait for drivers to install
Open Odin As administrator
You should see your phone under ID:COM (you should also see it has been added in message)
Make sure only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time is checked [ ]
Check AP [ ]
Click on [AP] And select the .tar file you just extracted (Only use AP Never use the others)
Wait for it to verify the MD5 then click [Start]
From here on out its all automated Odin will Flash the firmware then restart (dont forget first boot takes time)
If you get stuck in a boot loop go into recovery and do a factory reset (probably should regardless)

Introduction (will be deleted some time in the next couple days)
Hello everybody, I will be getting this phone next month and look forward to expanding this thread to cover more than just firmware and odin. I have made a few guides and have been told how easy it is to understand and follow compared to others. With that in mind I figured I would just nip this in the butt right now before someone beats me to the punch.
Other than odin I will also for sure be making a back to pure untouched stock for twrp which will flash the following stock images: system, kernel, modem, recovery and if we never see a locked bootloader rpm. This will have to wait until I have the phone because I refuse to make work public unless I have tested it on myself first.
Other than this first part of the op, it should stay more or less the same for the next month. post #2 will have a sandbox for the future of the op then it will turn into a spot to post answers to commonly asked questions.

Thank you for this. I rooted my phone before I installed the OTA because the TMobile rep told me the latest OTA was bricking phones. Obviously, this was not true and I couldn't update the phone. All is well now.

No! Once it's tripped, it's done. No resetting it.
I tried using JOdin last night but it couldn't ever get my PIT file and never restarted my phone. It would just say that it failed. Can I use someone else's PIT file for the same model or does it need to be specific to my phone? SM-G920T is my model, if so.
I tried odin on a friend's windows computer and it never recognized my phone when I plugged it in in download mode. so i'm not sure what is going on. :/
Recently, I ran into the same problem and decided to check the interwebs for a solution which turns out to be pretty simple.
To solve the issue;
1. Download official firmware for your device from sammobile
2. Extract your firmware files from the TAR. (delete ext .md5 from file name, then open with 7zip/winrar. unzip)
3. Repack your firmware AFTER deleting cache.img. Instructions
4. Flash the repackaged firmware via ODIN
That's it!

Now only one problem: rebooted into system, then entered stock recovery and did factory reset, dm-verity failure happened again. Any definitive solution other than re-flash stock firmware without cache.img? Much appreciated.

You'll need to undo FRP lock first

Recently, I ran into the same problem and decided to check the interwebs for a solution which turns out to be pretty simple.
To solve the issue;
That's it!

Please do video I cant do it :good: , I'm a few days without Cell Phones
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyes man it work thnks:laugh:
my problem solved with this file:
Code:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347784115
G920f
G928C...boots to wifi turning on, gets stuck there for a bit then reboots. If i do factory reset, it gets stuck at the boot logo permanently. if i get into recovery again, i get the dm-verity error. any ideas. cant root coz the FRP lock is on.
I had this problem and solved it by flashing Galaxy S6 marshmallow Kernel (check if it's compatible with your device e.g. I have a G920F). Then do a erase data/clear cache/reboot.
Your DRK is damaged. If you will extract the boot.img and system.img from the stock firmware then convert them each to .tar.md5 and flash the system.img then the boot.img it will boot like normal. If you ever update or reset the device it will stick back on the Samsung splash screen until you flash them again. I can repair your DRK as a permanent fix, but it can only be repaired via UART cable which means it cannot be redirected and repaired remotely. You are more than welcome to ship your phone to my business and I will repair the DRK and return it to you, but you must pay return shipping.
"furious99, you were right, though i hadn't seen your message, i noticed the marshmallow update for iraq for the G928C had been released, downloaded it and flashed the phone. It has been working since. I did a factory reset and it was still fine. so that is the solution.

This is only a temporary solution. If you update the firmware or factory reset the phone it will go back to being stuck on the Samsung logo. It can only be permanently fixed via a hardware solution atm.
Why my samsung s10 exynos shows "only official binaries are allowed to be flashed"after my first reboot after root?
I only use magisk.

Hi, you did something wrong in the critical part of the rooting process going to guess and say it was the main reboot after odin flash.
Had this issue 3 times, the best would be to follow this root process and READ everything line for line.
You'd be supersized that the smallest thing you've missed may have caused it.
To fix it, download original software for your model and country from SamMobile or any other form - use this software: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s9/how-to/tool-frija-samsung-firmware-downloader-t3910584
Remember DO NOT DELETE THE .md5 from the file name after you've extracted it.

Something has gone wrong with your rooting, happened to me once.
Press and hold Volume-down, Bixby and Power button, connect phone with USB to PC, wait, release all buttons soon as Download screen appears. Now flash with stock firmware and start rooting from scratch.

Hi, Ok the best way to do so is to get hold of stock firmware for your device.
Try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s10-plus/how-to/tool-frija-samsung-firmware-downloader-t3910594
Then secondly you will need the PIT file of your device !IF YOU BREAK YOUR PHONE IT IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY! :https://zfirmware.com/samsung-galaxy-s10-plus-g975-repair-firmware/
Make sure that when you select BL,AP,CP and CSC to leave the .md5 extension on the file, if all 4 loads without any errors and you have the correct PIT file you will be able to boot stock firmware.
In my case i had the same error because i flashed a modded debranded firmware without first flashing the stock AP.
So first, debrand you phone by flashing the stock debranded firmware, then flash the magisk patched version of it.
In other words, always flash the STOCK version of the firmware you want THEN flash the magisk PATCHED version (if you are moving from a version to another one, particularly if CSC is different).
