Hi,
So is the redmi 4gb usage okay for daily usage and gaming? Or I should spend more to get the 6gb one.
Thanks
I have a POCO M3 with 4GB RAM, it is not enough, sometimes apps are closed by the system when they are in background. So I think you need 6GB RAM.
Higher is always better.
go for 6gb 128gb its better specially the price difference is not that high
6gb ram and 128gb storage have 2.2UFS, 64GB have 2.1 UFS, it's better to take 6/128
does 6gb ram drain more battery than 4gb ram on this phone?

A little help, I am in doubt about the 4x and 4 pro / prime, I have some questions
1- I will notice a lot of day-to-day performance difference between a snapdragon 435 (28nm) at 1.4ghz and a 625 (14nm) at 2.0ghz
2 - being the 4x / 4 encounter with versions of 4gb ram and 64gb of storage and the 4Pro 3gb ram and 32gb, 4gb of ram would help in the performance of the 4 / 4X?
3- In 32GB versions, when starting the first time, how much storage is left in the device?
Hey,
1. It depends on your usage. Im no gamer and im not lagging with 3/32GB 4X.
2. Not really, but if you have a lot of data you cant put on the SD card id rather take the 64GB.
3. About 24GB on internal. SD up to 128 GB i guess, im only running a 64 SD card.
Maybe you should check the available frequencies supported by each model. Needs depend on your carrier.
Anyone has experience in performance differences between 6GB and 8GB model?
By quick glancing it looks like only difference is amount of memory or is there something else? Device will be used for photo and social apps only. No gaming of any kind.
Thanks
Same otherwise. For your use, probably wouldn't notice any difference.
The 128gb version also has 8gb ram, not only 256gb

Some 128GB models only have 6GB RAM. All 256/512GB models have 8GB RAM.

Ok didn't know, mine has 8
Didn't know they made 8gb / 128gb variants. As far as it's listed here, there's only 6/128 , 8/256 & 8/512
As for the difference, honestly from 6- 8 there will be no noticeable difference during regular usage. It's not like Emui allows all the apps to keep running in the background. Power management is quite aggresive and probably will need to remove powergenie to fully utilize it.

I have a UK device. VOG-L09, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Anyone know if have any changes em 12gb version??
AFAIK it's the same specs
I am also interested in this question
MIUI is a big memory user, so more memory means a slightly better experience. I think all other hardware specs are the same.
Yes its true i have poco f2 pro with 8gb and, always close some apps.
I have read many topics about comparisons 8gb to 12gb e.g. oneplus 8 pro etc. It turned out that 8gb is perfectly fine if you are not using 15 applications at once. Do you think that for the SD 888 and three powerful cameras it will still be sufficient?
The 6gb on my s9+ was more than enough for anything 2 weeks ago.
So realistically 8gb will also be more than enough. But if the price difference between 8 amd 12 isn't big, just go for the 12gb so that u can fullfill the placebo effect of a faster phone
A few weeks ago I was still using the Pixel4a with its 6 Gigs of RAM and the so called "weakling" SD 730G chipset. It was enough for me...
8 GB is more than enough IMO. Anything more than 8 GB RAM on a phone, is a gimmick! For the casual user of course. Although not really sure what you'd have to be doing on your damn phone in order to fully utilize like 12GB of RAM hahaha.
8GB is more than enough. If you are a social butterfly and you use fb, instagram, whatsapp, snapchat, tiktok in parallel it will only consume less than 6GB. If you play any game it will still be less than 7GB
The newer ram is about 20% more efficient. No such thing as too much.
My Note 10+ is running on 12 gb of the older generation ram with good battery life.
That said you can see what my current ram usage is right now with 7 gb free. With ram intensive apps that can change. That Android doesn't have to off load much or anything means less cpu cycles wasted and a snappier response.
Hi, I'm looking to buy a Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, but I've seen there are 3 versions of it:
* 128GB Memory with 8GB of RAM
* 256GB Memory with 12GB of RAM
* 512GB Memory with 16GB of RAM
I can easily find the 12GB version, but for the 16GB version there are some difficulties to acquire it. So, I was wondering if there is huge difference between the two versions in performance. If it's not a huge gap of difference, then I would buy the 12GB version.
Does anyone have any experience with these two devices? Any suggestions?
I doubt if there is any difference in performance at all. I have the 512 GB version because I like to keep 400 GB of local FLAC format music on my devices, and I don't always want to fool with a MicroSD card. Does any single Android game really use more than 12GB of RAM? I think it simply comes down to the size of apps and how many you will be installing, which will reasonably translate to needing much more RAM for more multitasking if you use a lot of apps at the same time.

You won't notice any difference.
Not even a single game (native or emulation) uses that amount of RAM.
A few of the most demanding games (direct PC ports) Grid Autosport or Alien Isolation barely use 3-4GB on Average.
Even if you multitask, A LOT, 12Gb will cover you good.
Btw, I got the 8Gb version, and I do heavy stuff on it, still running smooth, no issues with apps being closed in the background, etc...
Just a fair warning, S8 TAB series lineup has a really bad cooling solution, so thermal throttling is heavy, just in case if you planned doing some "heavy" gaming.
thanks @roirraW "edor" ehT & @ekin_strops for this feedback
I found a way and ordered the 16GB version, so I'll be using it, and see how it goes.
