So, I don't want the combination firmware for FRP lock removal....something else. If anyone has it, I would appreciate it.

@cjegan2008
With this tool you will get a 5 file Rom for this phone.

It doesn't work for the S21 Ultra. I tried. It supports the S20 Ultra, but not the S21 Ultra.

@cjegan2008
Have you tried to enter the SM-G998B "by hand"?
Give a screenshot what error shows up.

What do you mean by hand?
I don't have the SM-G998B, I have the SM-G998U1.
And I also have tried to connect the device to the software and it reads it, but I'm not sure how to go about making the combination firmware for this device using this software. Once again, I don't need the combination firmware for bypassing the FRP lock. It's to see what is available in the combination firmware for this device.

Do you happen to have the SM-G988U1 combination firmware? Or will this work on the SM-G988U1?

Wait, hold up, this is the SM-G988U firmware. The S21 Ultra is the SM-G998U. Do you have the SM-G998U combination firmware?

This won't work for the S21 Ultra. This combination file is for the S20 Ultra

Even if you get the combination firmware
You will not be able to flash the device with the file because you need a Token file to stop protecting the device
If you want to try
combination firmware: https://www.full-repair-firmware.com/2021/06/Combination-g998u1.html

Correct.. a token is needed to flash combo firmware.. im currently looking for rev4 combo but so far can only fibd rev1 rev2 and rev3

Confusing galaxy note 5!

I bought a second hand galaxy note 5, on the back cover of the phone the model is written SM-N920C but in download mode is written SM-N920d ! Nevertheless when I check the model at "setting/about the device" the model was SM-N920I
The problem started when my note 5 was flashed with venom rom then I accidentally formated all system files so the phone stuck in Android logo, I tried to flash the phone using Odin and SM-N920c but Odin said FAILED just when I click start. Now the phone is off for the battery is dead and it couldn't be charged , please help me to find the right flash and is there any way to flash it without download mood?
Use Kies and do an emergency recovery. It'll also be able to determine the actual model number. You probably didn't update the bootloader when usong Venom or something. Usually you want to update to the official marahmallow and then flash after that.

Thanks for your comment, I did that already but kies does not support emergency recovery for Note 5 SM-N920c!
I've used it once on my 920c when I initially messed something up. You may need to invoke download mode. Turn the phone off and hold home, volume down and power.
Oh, and there's a modern version of kies which works for modern Samsung phones only.
Did you install a custom recovery immediately after rooting? Always do this first.

N920d or N9200?
In your case, I would go with what is mentioned in the download mode since the back glass can be replaced with another model and ROM flashing can alter model # sometimes.
PS: you need to be sure that it was an original Note 5, not just a copy. I'd recommend taking it to the nearest service center to have it checked out.

Because that firmware does not exist.
It's either 920C or 920CD (for dual-sim) or 9200 for Chinese models.
The first two will have similar firmwares but the 9200 uses different one.
Have you verified exactly which model it is? What does Kies mention when you connect?

As per my search on google, the n920D is Docomo variant.
I haven't been able to find the stock firmware anywhere as of yet.
Flash a custom recovery for your variant (TWRP>others) and then flash a custome ROM that is compatible with 920D.
There must be some on XDA itself.

It's quite simple.. You download the latest version of firmware for the device which is N950USQS6DSI3 after it's downloaded you need to unzip it one time and then boot the phone into download mode and connect it to the PC USB port and open Odin and put the files in their respective place and then flash.

Doesn't matter they're all the same just choose whichever and flash it the phone will choose the correct information on it's own!
Are there update limits? I usually get a new phone, root it, find a rom I like and stick with it a long time. I recently updated many apps and they are not working right. Only google maps will get the location from the GPS for example. Also trying to get it to work with my new car radio (kenwood) with wireless mirroring and android auto. Anyway, as much as I like root, I am thinking it may be time to just update. I am currently at N950USQS2BQK2. Yeah way back. Can I odin a current like N950UOYN7DSK3 or do I have to go in steps? Also how do I get an unlocked USA from sammobile? Just pick a USA that doesn't list a carrier? Any other gotcha's since 2017?
Thanks,
Bob

[Solved] I lost the IMEI when flashing a wrong file

Hi.

And now it turns out that when I start I don't have IMEI. How can I solve it?
My device is a;

Android 8.
I have tried to install a 5-file ROM (BL, AP, CP, CSC AND USER DATA) and ODIN gives me FAIL. When the phone is in DOWNLOAD mode I get a red letter on the bottom that says; SW REV. CHECK FAIL (BOOTLOADER) DEVICE: 8. BINARY: 5.

When I have lost IMEI before, flashing stock filmware has resolved it for me.
You are getting that error in Odin as you are trying to flash bootloader 5 over bootloader 8. You can't downgrade the bootloader version. You need to download the latest filmware.
I take it you updated your phone in the last couple of days to be on bootloader 8. Just download that same filmware and it should flash fine.

First off, did you back up your EFS folder before flashing a rom? You should always do this. If you did, try restoring the EFS with TWRP.
If that fails, flash stock filmware with Odin. The thread below gives you all the information you need to do this. At the end of post number 2, you can download Samfirm, this is an excellent program for Pc that will allow you to download the filmware much faster than a free SamMobile account or Updato.

You can download from SamMobile, you will have to create a free account so you can download. I suggest using ADM (advanced download manager) as your internet is not good, it should let you carry on downloading if it gets interrupted.
Here is the filmware link (SamMobile is safe to use)
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-note-8/firmware/SM-N950F/XSG/download/N950FXXSADTB1/325565/
If the download in Samfirm stops at any point the download becomes corrupted, and you have to start again! So this way should be better for you (SamMobile)

Thank you, I have a free account, but this site is very annoying, just does not allow free download, like force buy, that will never happen, I WILL buy another Mobile if I have to but will never pay to download from SamMobile site. :good:

Maybe it has changed, I have not used it for a good while, you used to be able to download for free but at a very slow speed.
You could try Updato.com, but I'm not sure if it has the latest firmware.

I apologise that ADV seemed to be a virus for you I won't recommend that ever again to someone. It seemed to work fine for Windows Defender...
Really glad you have fixed your issue though :highfive:

Note 9 official ROM installation problem

T
Good evening, I bought a second hand Note 9 which rooted, I tried to unroot, it crashed, it did not turn on and remained BLOCKED on SAMSUNG. I downloaded firmware which are in android 8.1 -9 and 10. Nothing. Bad manipulation, a cable that comes loose and voila that nothing works. I tried the emergency RECOVERY with Smart Switch, nothing. I tried again through odin I got the error message on the attached capture (sw rev check fail bootloader device 3 binary). Help me please. thank you in advance

Well, have you any knowledge about how to flash firmware and the right choice file decision on Odin mode, chose latest Android 10 by the way, if you know the device origin, then chose that firmware origins, try to find out what model phone is that, is it SM-N960F, SM-N960N or what, then chose that kind of firmware to flash.
The phone will not let you flash SM-N960N on device SM-N960F, and if you can't find out what model phone is, then chose several different firmware's one by one till it succeed.
