I hope that @Dees_Troy can solve system mount problem. When you flash a rom in recovery mount system spent more then 5 minutes. No problem on wipe instead
Hello everyone ... I ask here and I apologize if you are OT, but since there was a section, if it were possible if someone m from a hand with the recovery for LG VU 3 ....
Inviato dal mio LG-P760 utilizzando Tapatalk
So I flashed recovery (with Flashify). Reboot in recovery through Flashify, did backup., everything is perfect.
But how to go there with out that app ?
Example Power+Down not working. I try everything
I also checked how G2 recovery works: power+down>>>u see Lg logo>>>let go and press again power+down....but it's not working.
maybe in Flashify you nee to flash recovery as "Boot image" ??
Your currently in Twrp?
Press reboot and than system
In flashify I picked recovery image and used quick boot to boot into recovery.

I also checked how LG G2 working...but that method not working ether.
Maybe I need to flash recovery.img as "boot img" ? not as "recovery.img"
Power off device.
VolUP+Power you should get a scrolling effect and than recovery after.

I've had and been rooting since the original droid on Verizon so I'm thinking that with a custom recovery it means the bootloader is unlocked. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I just don't want to buy a phone with a locked bootloader.

Or the D959 TMO?
I pmed @Dees_Troy about this and how theyr just coming to the US and hopefully our requests has been heard.
Help
I got the phone rooted but having trouble with recovery. I tried pushing and flashing it with ADB, no luck. Then I Flashed with Flashify. Have D959 TMo. Didn't work. When rebooted to recovery only shows "[450] fastboot mode started [450] udc_start()" Does anyone have some ideas to this? Really want to be able to flash a custom rom. Until then guess I just download my root required apps haha.
Thanks in advance

that's the same result I got when I flashed the unofficial CWM. Obviously, D959 not yet supported. At least root works and can get rid of some bloat.
I got my g2 with 12b already on it, how do I root it? The root thread I saw only mentions 11a or whatever the previous update is, I'm also worried know if i can unlock the bootllader or not

You can root 12b with ioroot19. Bootloader is locked so use freegee to install twrp recovery.

The newest version of ioroot is ioroot25, which will root all versions including 24A http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48709232&postcount=869&nocache=1&z=7334539103321731. Once rooted, download the TWRP 2.6.3.3 from JRJ442's link https://www.dropbox.com/s/meddqewk6muv8p5/twrp.img, also download his TWRP 2.7 https://www.dropbox.com/s/rnj9i1lsg8oc1js/Stock-TWRP2.7-VS980.zip and put both on your sdcard. Then install flashify and use that to flash TWRP 2.6.3.3 ( Just make sure you choose recovery when you start flashify and select the twrp.img from your internal storage. Once you reboot into TWRP 2.6.3.3 you can install the TWRP 2.7 zip (you previously downloaded) via the install in TWRP. These are the exact steps I followed and it was seemless. I can also sucessfully create backups via TWRP 7 without issue (seems to be a problem with some versions).

why are people answering such an old question? I've had it rooted, modded, and have installed cyanogenmod plenty of times since this question was posted back in january

Because once the KitKat OTA goes live by VZ (could happen, right?), there would be no way to get on the 12B bootstack (no TOT or KDZ). Right now it seems that most of the devs work with the OTA leak will involve the 12B bootstack. You can always go back to 10b or 11a through the tot method. You might not be able to go back if you take an official VZ KitKat update (could happen right??)
Idk maybe I'm wrong. Just my FUD.

+1 Worked exactly as described.
hey guys
i had a working lg g2 vzw running xdabbeb's 2.5 rom
i wanted to upgrade to his vs982.5 v1.1 but i was running 26a so i decided to flash 27a bootstack
however, I BRICKED!
everytime i boot, i get this http://imgur.com/NwrZIyg,vLAACcX
and when I boot into download mode, i get this! http://imgur.com/NwrZIyg,vLAACcX
so if i cant get into download mode, I can't use the KDZ method with lg flash tool, correct?
any guidance would be great
thanks!

You're not bricked, you just flashed an older 27A bootstack, or some other bootstack that wipes your laf partition...this means download mode will not work.
Go to xdabbeb's resources page, and download the 27A bootstack from there, and flash it in twrp; this will give you download mode back: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...s980-resources-bootstacks-unofficial-t3050777
You should still have twrp on your phone - if you don't know how to enter recovery with key presses, you will need to do some reading on how to do it.

There are many ways, you're going to have to research. I'm mobile right now, so I can't really help right now. If you're on blastagator's twrp 2.8.5.1 you can enable MTP in recovery, and transfer it that way.

Hello everyone. I have rooted the G4, have SuperSU, and was going about installing TWRP. I used flashify and the TWRP version made for the H811 contained in these forums. Flashify seemed to install image correctly, but upon rebooting into recovery, I got a "Secure Boot Error 1003" and then a reboot to normal operation. I have searched and seen fixes for different devices, but none for the G4. Where did I go wrong and what can I do now?
Did you hit flash boot img in flashify instead of recovery img? You could try to boot into download mode and redo root process should fix then flash twrp using flash recovery img in flashify.

If redoing the root process doesn't fix you can try using the kdz file to return to stock, then re root and re flash twrp in flashify.

You need to have OEM Unlock enabled in Developer Options, that how you can modify the boot files by unlocking the boot loader.

Try to access recovery via bootloader. At boot hold vol down, then try to enter recovery.
Hi just reflash the twrp recovery via bootloader .....it works for meeeee.....
Sent from my titan using Tapatalk
FIX !!!
Download TWRP Recovery IMG and fastboot and adb files from the web and open it by Right clicking and pressing Shift on a blank space in the directory it is extracted . Click on open command prompt here ....
type adb devices to check your phone is connected properly ( Activate USB Debugging in your phone )
if it lists your device type adb reboot bootloader and it should go to fastboot mode ...
type fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Note that the name of the IMG File may differ so change it or rename it to twrp
Now your Recovery is successfully installed you can carry on ...
