Greetings,
I have recently bought a Galaxy Watch 3 45mm Bluetooth version. Using Always on display on a watch and a galaxy smartphone has always been a fun and i am a bit sceptical about using colored always on display on Galaxy watch 3. I have tried colored clockfaces on my galaxy phone and never seen a change in battery life. So my question is, Will it effect the battery life if i use a colored clockface as AOD on my Galaxy watch 3?

Since both phones have a Super AMOLED display, does anyone know how the screens between the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy Note compare?
Coming from a Galaxy S2 (Super AMOLED+) prior to the Galaxy Nexus, I have to say I'm very disappointed in the Galaxy Nexus screen. Banding, grain, terrible low light/brightness quality, etc...
The following post shows exactly what the screen on my Galaxy Nexus looks like.

However, I'm very tempted to pick up a Galaxy Note as a daily driver but if the screen looks like my Galaxy Nexus, I may think twice about it.
Anyone here have and/or used both able to comment?
Thanks!
It seems the note has the same issues as our nexus with the display. Banding, grainy at low brightness, etc. Its due to Samsung new production process of amoled. It will get fixed over time with later upcoming phones.
I bought the Galaxy Gear (Black) for my Galaxy Note III LTE (Black) a few days ago.
I wanted to received them together on the 25th Sept but could only get the phone on that day. Anyway, all is not lost as I finally got the Galaxy Gear and am ready to use the Note III and Gear combo.
Here are some box pictures.
Here are some unboxing pictures
The Galaxy Gear (Black) is not all that fancy looking like the Orange or Green but it is simple and goes well with my look during my working days. I have other more valuable watches for my weekend or holiday needs.
I intend to use my Gear mainly for business.
How to Charge the Watch?
Well there is this case which we have to wrap around the phone and there is a micro usb port at the back of the case. The watch charges very quickly. When I switched on the phone it had about 65% battery and it charged to 100% within 20 mins.
Setting up a connection with Galaxy Note III.
We have to switch on the watch first. Then make sure Note III NFC is on and then place the back of the Gear Charging Case under the Note III for connection.
Once detected the Gear Manager app will be asked to be installed. Then it will be installed and connection will be complete.
This is how the Gear looks on my wrist.
Galaxy Note III and Galaxy Gear put for charging.
thx for that nice to have some pics with the phone on your wrist thx.....if I could only find 1 in stock somewhere

That is some juicy display pr0n.
This is a beast :good:
So it'll be better then my S3? You're killing me Samsung, I can't wait to pick this phone up!
750 nits? Unbelievable
Just to sweeten the deal for people just scanning this thread; the full conclusion quote is pretty awesome:
"
the Galaxy Note 4 is the Best performing Smartphone display that we have ever tested.
It matches or breaks new records in Smartphone display performance for:
Highest Absolute Color Accuracy,
Highest Screen Resolution,
Infinite Contrast Ratio,
Highest Peak Brightness,
Highest Contrast Rating in Ambient Light,
Brightness Variation with Viewing Angle.
Its Color Management capability provides multiple Color Gamuts – a major advantage that is not currently provided by any of the other leading Smartphones. The Galaxy Note 4 delivers uniformly consistent all around Top Tier display performance: it is the first Smartphone display to ever get all Green (Very Good to Excellent) Ratings in all test and measurement categories (except one Yellow for a Brightness Variation with Average Picture Level) since we started the Display Technology Shoot-Out article Series in 2006, an impressive achievement for a display.
The Galaxy Note 4 has again raised the bar for top display performance up by another notch.

Hi,
This is my first thread, and happy to be here.
I'm a newbie to Samsung smartwatches and wanted to buy a new one. There are so many watches out there and so many comparisons that I am not able to make up my mind about which one would be the best watch for me. I am looking to buy a smartwatch that gives good battery life, a calling feature, a round dial(looks cool), and doesn't feel heavy while wearing.
Please guide me.
Thanks in advance.
I got my wife the Galaxy Watch5. It replaced her Galaxy Watch4 that she rarely wore because of it being too heavy. She wears the Galaxy Watch5 all the time now.
I like my Galaxy watch 5 LTE a lot more than I did my Galaxy 4. It has a better performance, better battery, improved sensors and seems a little bit lighter! Cheers
I still use a Galaxy Watch4. I will say without a doubt, my wife's Galaxy Watch5 is much lighter than my Galaxy Watch4. The Galaxy Watch4 has a stainless-Steel case and the Galaxy Watch5 has an aluminum case. Makes quite a difference. The battery is much better than the Galaxy Watch4 but otherwise they are very comparable. I like the rotating bezel on my Galaxy Watch4. Wish they had kept that on the Galaxy Watch5.
