So before getting a samsung and the s21u i was using huawei and in the huawei calendar app they had some nice feature where when you clicked on any date it would write how many days from today . I didn't find such thing on the samsung calendar. Is there any way to get such a calendar app or one that has similar feature since im so accustomed to it.

Hi guys,
I just bought Xmarks premium membership and downloaded their Android app. It syncs my bookmarks and the launcher pro plus bookmark widget shows all of em. But bookmarks in stock browser are still empty.
I contacted xmarks support about this issue and got the answer that they are aware of this problem since it also happens on the Galaxy Tab and it seams samsung blocked manipulation of the browser bookmarks.
I hope one of the pros here at XDA can help,
thanks for reading
Hi Folks,
I've come from a Samsung Galaxy S3 to a new shiny HTC One which was delivered a couple of hours ago. Just getting set up and was wondering whats your preference for email setup. With my company using Google Apps i've always just gone ahead and used Gmail but was wondering if the 'Mail' app was any better?
Regards
Sam
They are both really good, I guess if you have multiple email accounts the mail app is better than the dedicated gmail one because you could easily switch between accounts

I use the Mail app because I have 4 email accounts so easier to manage, I would still use this app if I only had one gmail account tbh, its much cleaner looking.
Gmail definitely. Don't like the native app.
Probably no help but I have been using both the HTC native mail app as well as the Gmail app. Personally I like the look and feel of the native app but I think I have been just to used to running my email accounts on separate apps, hasn't hurt me yet.

Hello guys
As it is written on the thread name I just cant get my Calendar entries to show on Blinkfeed.
Furthermore my eMails from my Gmail account arent showing up on the lockscreen despite having it setted as "Productivity"
I hope some can help me, becaue those issues really bug me a lot.
Thanks
Are you using the stock mail and calendar apps? Blinkfeed and the productivity lock screen only pull data from the stock apps.

Ok I use Gmail for my Mail account. That explains the lockscreen issue.thanks for that!
Is it right that with Android 4.2 we can use lockscreen widgets,so i can customize with Gmail?
In case of the calendar issue I am using the stock app, which was preloaded on the HTC One. Any more suggestions why it doesnt show up?

for the first question that'll depend. android 4.2.2 stock comes with lockscreen widgets. whether HTC decides to add them to their lockscreen setup is a completely other issue lols.
as for your second issue. check the blinkfeed topics and services section. scroll to the left and see what services you have toggled on. you have to have calendar on for it to show. it shows fine for me. also it does not pre-show events you have coming up only when the event is happening at that moment. so i have my calendar setup for my classes. say i have class at 3pm. blinkfeed will not tell me i have a class coming up at 3pm if i update it at 1pm. it will show up though when i update my blinkfeed around 3:20pm though. An interesting tid bit is if you have way too many topics and facebook stuff your calendar blinkfeed will get pushed down and you wont see it. (IE it wont have priority space on the blinkfeed area)
hopefully that helps explain it a bit.

Thanks for answering, but it still doesn't work. I guess it's my blinkfeed, which is bugged somehow and I can't see a way to get in working despite trying hard. Maybe I just have to live with this and adapt to it or wait for an update to fix this bug

Are you on a stock ROM? Or custom? I'm on ordroid 5.0.0 and it works fine. Are you sure your Google calendars are updating? Do you see stuff when you go into the calendar app?

It seems that Blinkfeed only show the calendar entries that is due for today. Try adding something in your calender for today and reboot your phone. It should show then.
Hey guys,
I know that this isn't a new topic, but I having some problems with my HTC ONE.
My calendar doesn't show the events, events is in it`s data base, but still not showing in application.
When i use search i can found my events.
My HTC is updated to android 4.3
I've tried to reconfigure the accounts, but have no effect.
I using the default application, that came with the phone.
Someone knows what I need to do for correct this issue?
Below some screenshots.
Same issue
I have "Contacts Birthday's and Events" calendar subscribed in my Gmail and I maintain the birthday dates of all my contacts in Gmail [format: December DD, YYYY]. In HTC calendar [Accounts] i checked the Google option and in that i checked "Contacts Birthday's and Events" option, which takes the birthdays dates from my Gmail contacts and sets reminders and notifications. But I am not able to see any notifications from the calendar.
Now, i have another option in HTC Calendar Accounts called "People (Birthdays & Anniversaries)" and i have no idea where this option came from and from where it takes the birthday data from but it displays the birthdays. The annoying thing is when an event is about to occur this People thing displays 4 reminders for the same event, which is irritating.
I want to know where this People option came from and from where its taking the data and why the hell cant i see the Gmail contacts birthdays through the "Contacts Birthday's and Events" option??? :crying:
Hi there.
I'm just about to prolong my contract with my provider. they have a nice package offer Note 4 + Gear S.
I seen many videos of the watch but still not sure so I thought I ask.
My IBM work mail comes on the note in the form of a separate auction the IBM traveler. It's a mailbox on its own and not connected / integrated on the email app that comes with the phone. Same goes for the calendar a stand alone app its ifs the phoned calendar app.
My concern is since these are standalone I will not get any of the IBM calendar and Mail notifications coming through my gear S?
Am I assuming correct or this will work and if so how?
Regards Laz

You should be able to forward Lotus Notes Calendar and Email notifications to your watch. Gear Manager allows you to forward notifications from any app (IBM Traveler is also in the list).
But, you will definitely not be able to access email or calendar details on your watch. I use AweSync to replicate my Lotus calendar with a Google account. This way, I can see all of my appointments and details on the watch.

Hi first Thx for your response. Much appreciated.
So let me see if I get this right. When u say notification what / how does this work, say I get an email and the watch pops up an alert saying 1 new mail in traveler or new traveler upcoming meeting alert but no details to the 2?
So like not even sender or subject etc. but just a very primitive way of notification.
If that's so when it comes to traveler usage is poor to say the least.

Good afternoon:
I've recently acquired the new Samsung Galaxy Watch3 (Bluetooth variant) and ever since then I have been trying to find an app to synchronize my Google Calendar events. The idea is to have an app with all the agenda items (just like the features that the app "Calendar gear" provides, however that one does not seem compatible with this watch). An idea could be to have a notification pop up to the phone so that it could be relayed to the watch, but I was wondering if any of you knew any app that could do the work. I tried searching the store, but nothing seemed to be compatible with Google.
Thank you for your attention.
On my watch I can see all the Google Calendar events in the Calendar widget, without having done anything to make that happen. The events are automatically synced with the Calendar events of my phone. On my phone I choose in which calendar the event is entered (usually Google or Samsung). Events of both are appearing on my watch. Trying to understand your problem - is this not working the same way for you?
The same for me. I did nothing to have the calendar events appear.
Good morning to both of you:
Thank you very much for your replies, I will definitely try using the native calendar app. Is the synchronization automatic once bluetooth is activated or does it have to be done explicitly from the phone?
Thanks again
The synchronizarion is automatic once the watch is connected to your phone.
