The Choetech 4 port usb car charger is a great car charger. It is lightweight, compact and has 4 ports for your tablet and smartphone needs. One of the ports has adaptive fast charging capabilities while the other 3 charge your other devices at a reasonable speed. The other 3 ports also have the capability to detect what phone you have and charge them at there maximum charginging rate. It comes with a qualcomm fast charging usb cable so you dont have to purchase your own or you can use the cable that came with your phone also to fast charge it. As soon as you plug the included usb cable in your phone, the fast charging info in the notification dropdown pops up and lets you know how long it will take to charge your phone to 100%. This car charger has done a great job in doing that compared to my other two car chargers i have and i highly recommend it.

I guess if you have a larger family and you want charging cables all over the place, this would be nice. But I just can't see myself ever using four ports. TOPS would be my wife and I , and I already have a dual port one. Thanks for the review, but I'm going to pass.

Someone like me in the Ridesharing industry, two cigarette lighters is not enough! This would be perfect so I can have a charger for myself, iPhone passengers, and Android passengers. Then I could use the other port for my dash cam power!
Edit: Nevermind. Seems the cable is not included.
The QC 2.0 port supplies 15w with 9V and 1.67A which seems to be the the requirement of the Samsung S6 fast charge feature (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59794206&postcount=9). I suppose it will enable that feature...
Did you try it on a S6? Is the Fast Charge enabled while connecting the S6 on the QC 2.0 port?
Any concerns about the battery safety?
Thanks
Customer reviews are very good about this product on Amazon. it is mostly compatible with any device. I am going to buy one.
I've just ordered a Aukey quick charger. Won an eBay bid for £5!

Just bought a Nexus 5x off Swappa and it didn't come with the original LG charger, just a USB C to A cable. Are there any 3rd party charging blocks and cables that work well and provide rapid charging for the 5x? I've looked at a lot on Amazon and Ebay and there don't seem to be any that work as well.
There's this from SONEic....
Also, can anyone tell me if you'll get faster charging (like Type C to Type C) if you use a USB 3.0 to Type C cable, or does it matter?
Thanks,
Jank.
This CHOETECH power supply works well: link
You need a type-C to type-C cable to take advantage of the full speeds. I use this one: link
Check out this sheet for chargers, for cables and accessories.

Also Google"Benson Leung". He's put a lot of time into testing a lot of products and can probably save you a lot of headaches. There's a lot of really questionable cables and chargers out there for USB type-c so you want to be careful. It's not like the old micro USB days where anything worked. Bad cables can burn your phone, charger or worse
@adobeman - appreciate the reply. I have seen that spreadsheet but noticed nothing had a review date for this year, 2016. I had hoped something more current that was a sure winner would have been released by now. Maybe not, maybe it's just the SONEic and Choetec so far. There are a ton of the LG OEM cables/chargers on eBay but they all ship from China so are questionable at best, don't know if they're knockoffs or real. Oh well. The problem with the Google cable on the play store is that it's a single piece, the cable isn't removable.
Guess I'll give one of these other two options a shot and go from there. Thanks again!

I have tested LG OEM cable/charge on Nexus 5X, the charger support Quick Charge, it works well with device but it didn't charge as quickly as stock Nexus charger. I remember that it took me about ~1.8 hours to charge from 20% to 100% with LG OEM charger. LG OEM Charger output is 5V/1.8A, 9V/1.8A while stock one is 5V/3A.
If you want to take full advantage of Nexus 5X fast charge, you should choose charger that can output 5V/3A current. You can get more information in this article.

@SuperBoUDS - thanks. I went with this option this morning: SONEic USB Type C rapid charger & this Anker USB C to USB 3.0 for another cable. They should be here Friday and I'll review and confirm how well they work. CUrrently, I only have a legacy USB 2.0 to Type C cable that came with my used phone. It only charges up to about 1400 mA when the batter is really low.
FYI, since the spreadsheet is outdated as of 2016 the best (albeit disorganized) source for USB-C cables/charger/accessories that are compliant is probably benson leungs amazon profile feed:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-reviews/A25GROL6KJV3QG/
if you don't want to go with choetech or tronsmart, you can find oem LG chargers and cables on eBay for $15-$20
I have three choetech USB C wall chargers. I've had inconsistent performance with them -- at times the phone does not register it as a rapid charger, and so far one has stopped working completely. The USB cables are from Anker and I haven't faced any problems with them.
You can't go wrong buying an OEM or Google made charger.
I use this one while traveling. Benson Leung approved. It works great and also allows to charge another USB A device at same time. https://www.amazon.com/Charger-GMYLE-Adapter-Macbook-Chromebook/dp/B01193T77I

After using the SONEic USB C to C charger I purchased above, I can say that I've rarely, if ever, seen it charge faster than 2.15 mA. That with the battery fairly low so I would think it should be charging faster. It does come up as rapidly charging though. It works well enough, just was hoping for more.

I can confirm that the Soneic didn't go above 2A using Ampere app . I tried the Choetech and it went upto 2.5 A once.
Both say charging rapidly. I'll be returning the Soneic
I've seen varying performances with all chargers, none of them seem to sustain the charging rate even if the phone is <10%
Not sure if it's the same behavior with the OEM charger
How about this one? Is good enough for 5x ,

Hi all,
There have been many posts about Nexus 5X wall chargers and their ability to "properly' support rapid charging the same as the original 5X chargers do.
My conclusion seems to be nothing does rapid charging on the 5X as well as an original Google Nexus 5X charger.
I have two 5X's and one of the original chargers has just died.
Any suggestions (preferably with AUS plug configuration)? Do the later Pixel chargers definitely work on the 5X (to the standard of the 5X chargers!)?
I don't quite understand why Google is reluctant to answer these questions, or even why it should be so hard to get an 18W USB-C charger that is compatible with the 5X (given the 5X has been around for 2 or 3 years now!).
Thanks in advance!
Cheers
...Steve
I have replaced my 5X with a Pixel 3. I just tried charging the 5X (which was at 66% battery) with the Pixel 3 charger and the 5X switched very quickly between "Charging" and "Charging Rapidly" before finally settling on Charging Slowly (280 mA or so). I would have expected it to at least charge at its normal rate (about 1400 mA in my experience). So don't buy the Pixel 3 charger!

I use a chinese dodocool charger (da101w european version, was going to put a link but recent account..) and it works pretty well (even while using both usb ports)
Never tested the qc3 though

I've tried various non-OEM chargers and even the expensive ones that do trigger "Rapid Charging" message charge slower than the OEM version.

Either one should be safe. Both list 5v3a however neither have 9v2a so it could be just slightly slower than stock but definitely faster than wireless or an old 5v2a charger.

Just make sure you have a USB-C complaint cable and you'll be fine.
As long as the voltage is correct, you can send devices more watts than they require. All electrical devices only draw the watts they need. So if your charger supplies 100 watts, but the phone only needs 5 watts, it will only use 5 watts and be perfectly safe.

The last 3 pixel models have all had "USB-C complaint cable" issues with fastboot...
Sorry I couldn't help myself. Lol

Hello,
Can anyone recommend me a flat/pad wireless charger compatible with pixel 5 fast wireless charging rate.
Couldn't find a list of compatible wireless chargers with the pixel 5 fast charge.

This isn't exactly what you asked for but it does shed some light for you. I ordered this one. While it's not flat but instead a stand the rest of this info you'll find useful. The charger said up to15w but I wasn't getting anywhere near that. It doesn't include a cable or brick but I figured I had so many over the years it really wasn't a big deal to use my own. I tried the brick and cable that came with the pixel 5, slow charging. I tried the brick and cable from my OnePlus 6t, OnePlus 6, my wife's old samsung s9 brick and cable, all slow. Finally I tried an Anker qualcomm 2.0-3.0 certified brick and the stock OnePlus 6t cable, fast wireless charging achieved! Likely, the pixel 5 cable would have worked as well only the particular charger I have lacks USB C so had to use a different cable.
All that said, a brick that has qualcomm 2.0-3.0 fast charging, a decent cable and a wireless pad that has 15w should get what you want. You likely can buy the wireless pad with the correct brick...I just can't advise exactly which one.

Good deal, you can download an app called ampre here on xda or the market link here if you haven't already, it will tell you charging rates you're getting between different cables, bricks etc.
I've got a belkin boost 10W. There's a few threads on reddit about wireless chargers too
