I want to root Samsung Google Nexus S I9020XXKD1 running on 2.3.4 but I could not find the exact steps to follow. Please let me know if it is described in any of the threads.

There's a list of rooting guides on a stickied post under android development

Find your respective phone in a stickied thread and follow that guide.
Also, wrong section.
The rooting guides are in General not Android development.
I9020T/I9020A/I9023 are all in General
The Sprint 4G one is in Sprint 4G dev.
And since you're not in the U.S., you'll probably find yours in General.
Is anyone working on porting the Revolutions recovery to this phone?

Hi,
This has been reported and confirmed that using temporary touch recovery method to root Galaxy Note on ICS is not safe, this has been posted several times in the forum but lot of people are still trying or asking to try this method.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS TEMP RECOVERY, it can brick your device.
We have very good method to root Note on ICS in Dev and General section sticky by dr.ketan.

Basically this warning thread is available in general sticky. And myself only requested to close thread, b'coz all the time discussion less and debate was going more, indeed its proved unsafe. Hope here members will show maturity and not making any statements, can put newbies in trouble.

Thanks Doc. , seems like new users are not checking Dev section and they are still trying this risky method for root.
