Yes I do, but not good for sure which part can keep, or should move farther or not, better can have line to hint 16:9.

in fact the 108 mpx mode is made for that, try a screenshoot with the little window on the top left side it will create a 33mpx pictures

Well, 108MP is 12000*9000, so I need 12000*6750, lol
Also I know how to cut by software later, but take the 16:9 view is a problem.

Froyo out, Camera still 4:3?

What is Google thinking releasing a camera app with only 4:3 instead of widescreen?
No touch to focus... why!? This is like a standard an most phones now. The camera supports it, why not use it?
Because photos look wrong in 16:9?
I hated it when I had the Desire ROM on the phone, and all they end up doing is cropping of the a bit from the top/bottom which you could do yourself in any good photo editing software.
What about touch to focus?
And just because you like 4:3 doesn't mean everyone does or should.
Just because you don't like 4:3 doesn't mean everyone doesn't or shouldn't.

They could have added both, and let you choose.

It would've just been a cropped 4:3 image anyways, I don't really see the point. It has to be either a cropped 4:3 image or a cropped 16:9 image, you make the choice...
Here you have a 4:3 image from the sensor, you can crop it any way you like.
Both as options would have been tits.

[Q] Camera burst mode quality?

Hey guys, on gsmarena i read and saw the video about the camera burst mode taking 999 pictures in 68 seconds at 9 megapixels.
I understand that photo quality is not directly related to its resolution.
So i just want to ask, will the 9MP photos be of the same quality as the 13MP photos? Thanks.

9MP with the same senson will be just slightly less detailed than 13MP. Not a huge difference though

So i wouldn't notice a difference unless i closely inspected it?
thanks for the answer
It's the amount of pixels used to display the photo - its resolution. You would only notice a difference when zooming into the picture.
However I agree that pixel count is the least important factor. My SE W800 with 2MP shot better photos than any phone I had afterwards. If ZX' photos have similar color properties it will be great.

Yes. 9MP photo displayed as let's say 1280*720 will look exactly the same as 13MP photo zommed out to the same resolution. You will notice any differences only if you analyze them on their native resolution or big zoom.
Of course there will be differences - but you won't be able to notice them, especially when viewing your photos "normally".

Taking a photo using the 2 rear cameras?

HI EVERYONE!
is there any way or some application that lets you use the 2 rear cameras at the same time to take just one photo and thereby increase the image resolution? Mixing pixels or by interpolation, I do not know.
Somebody knows?
Thank you all!

Well the camera does somewhat support this as it does use both cameras when you use the live focus option. Not exactly what you're looking for but if you're good at editing photos you can get it done.
When using Live Focus, it'll take a pic with both lenses and you'll be able to export a copy of the "wide" angled pic and one of the zoomed one. Only drawback is that the zoomed pic is already zoomed so you'll end up needing to zoom in the wide pic to match it.
Again, not exactly what you're asking for but only thing I can think of. I believe this is the only option as one lense is zoomed in permanently.

Samsung Front Camera only left with 5 MP after Wide Selfie Update

It seems to me that the Wide Selfie Mode is a Scam. I realized this already a few Updates ago but was able to still downgrade, now with CSF9 i am stuck
In normal Selfie Mode i can only take Pictures with 5 MP, also other Camera Apps only recognize 5 MP. Only in the Samsung Camera and in Wide Selfie Mode i can take Pictures with 8 MP.
Could someone confirm this to me?
I had a short chat with Samsung Support and they told me it should not be that way and it would be fixed in the next Update but no idea how much i can trust in that
No one is on the same build that could tell me if its the same for them?
yes, same here

Not quite sure what you mean, you're issue is that your selfies are 5MP using the stock camera app?

Yes... if u open up the selfie camera and leave it in normal mode and look into the settings u can only apply up to 5.2 MP, only in Wide Selfie Mode u will see 8 MP as an Option, also in other Camera Apps u can only choose up to 5.2 MP
same here
ME TOO!!
Yes true, first I thought its an issue with mine only!! the thing is it shows in SAM info+ app as 5 MP and on any other 3rd party app its only 5 MP!! mine is exynos N960f
Same for me, only 5.2 MP for normal selfie... exynos note 9, June patch.
same here with last update
Just change the selfie mode. It starts with the wide selfie and not the "normal" selfie.

If you click on "wide selfie" you will see that it uses 8mpx... ?

Now I've made some tests.. You'll see 2.8 mpx only in panorama mode... You have to select photo and click on the left button over shutter button!
I swear it's not that confusing to use a camera on a phone

You always had 8mpx on your camera.. ? ?
The sensor is 8mp arranged in a 4:3 aspect ratio. You cannot get 8mp for an aspect ratio wider than that. An 18.5:9 wide image from that sensor is done by chopping 2800 pixels of the top and bottom (5.2mp left).
Now, if you zoom your selfie cam in and go back into settings to select your aspect ratio, you will see that 5.2mp is all you get for the 4:3 aspect ratio (that's the most mp you now get).
I suspect people are seeing this happen when they have their cam zoom on. Turn off zoom and look again.

Set up stock camera resolution

Hello,
How to set up the camera resolution.
All my photos are going 12MP. I want to have the option to make shoots with lower resolution. I belive it should be possible.
I cannot see the option in the camera settings. My phone is stock with the latest update w/o root.
Thank you!

It is not like you are setting up the resolution. For example : 640x480 pixels .
Of course the resolution is different if you change the frame. But still I cannot set up the resolution.

If you change the frame to 4:3 you will shoot pic with 12mpx, if you change 16:9 you will shoot pic with 9 mpix, and if you change to 18:9 you will shoot with 8mpix, this answer your question.
Or, just use moded gcam, you have root, you can manualy set everything.

Yes, you explained the changing of the frame. But I have no control over the resolution.
I do not know why is so difficult for understanding.
As far as i know the device is equipped with 20mp camera. We should be able to shoot 20mp,16mp,14.....photos.
But probably the software is not adopted to do that...
Have a nice day!

Main camera senzor on A2 is 12mpix, 20 mpix senzor is only for low light. I understand what you are saying, you cant select manualy wanted resolution or how much pixels you want, with frame changing you wil lower the mpix, but not the resolution.
My sugestion is to try gcam, its far better in every aspect, stock camera app is not that good and it have poor settings.
