Hey I used PE android 10 rom last version in the past and it was great in terms of performance and battery back but some bugs.
Then came back to stock global miui but pubg was lagging. So I need your help guys to get a rom which is battery backup and pubg smoothness. I don't mind at all if its android 10 or older. Just need stable rom.
If there are any combos rom + kernel, please specify version of that rom/kernel too.
Currently I'm on latest evox 17 feb 2020 and default kernel (clean flash). Pubg is great and smooth but battery is draining very badly.
Going to try evox 4.5 + immensity kernel latest version now.

I'll try to keep it as brief as possible.
I am well versed with rom flashing and also with the xiaomi ecosystem. I own a Redmi Note 3 pro myself and I know the bootloader unlock process and other stuff.
But I have no idea about the rom scene on Mi 5. I have been only active on the Redmi Note 3 forum because that's the device I own.
The Mi 5 for which I'm courting suggestions belongs to my sister. She's tired of slow miui and it's messed up notification delivery. So she asked me to fix it.
I'm planning to flash a custom rom. I unlocked the bootloader but I have no idea about which rom to flash. I will be here only 2 more days then I'm off to college in another city, so I can't really test different roms. I just need a stable rom that I can flash and forget and that she can use without any hiccups.
Oreo roms are not that stable on most devices right now and she really doesn't care for the latest Android version. Please suggest a stable nougat rom.
Thank You.

Edit: firmware 7.9.22 because 8.1.4 has problems with playing media over headset with this rom.

I go with this kernel because the stock kernel from AospExtended has OC.

Thanks a lot!
What does OC mean?

Over clocking. I have the 32 GB model which CPU is down clocked by default to 1.8 ghz. The stock kernel in the original Aospextended is over clocked to 2.15 ghz. The SoC is capable of running this frequency btw, I just prefer the default frequency yo keep the phone from getting hot and extending battery life.
i'd say go with the cosmic os builds.excellent battery life and unlike aospextended i haven't faced any crashes.Probably set her up with the google camera hdr+ too.

hi
can someone recommend an MIUI based or stock-based ROM with better battery life?
currently getting less than 1 day on normal usage which is kind of bad.
Thanks
I get roughly 2 days of normal use with MiuiMiX (Q) (flashed with twrp, Rom is based on Chinese vendor, Magisk preinstalled) - no further tweaks other than what stock has to offer. Could try different kernel settings but didn't bother as things work well and with no problems for me. Never change a running system, eh?!
Miui Eu beta is great, much much better than the global miui specially in battery life, global was draining my battery so fast i couldnt keep it all day but eu beta gives me around 2 days its de-bloated and optimized
I know this is a lame question. But which one is currently most stable rom for redmi 9 from your experience. I used corvus, nusantara, bliss, evolution x. Fist one/two week everything runs smooth. But then bug starts appearing here and there. Launcher keeps stoping, battery draining, hang etc. Debloated stock rom has very less bug but miui optimization and ram management stops me from loving miui
Pixel : Experience (A10)/Extended
For sure there is none custom rom without bugs, for sure at moment the last miui perform much better as any custom rom here, but with root, ive tested all and the latest miui android 11 is more stable, better battery and butter smooth, cheers!!!!
I'm itching to try out an Android 12 ROM. Which A12 ROM is best as a daily driver? I'm not a gamer, so gaming performance is not important to me. So far, I have seen EvoX Snow, Nusantra, ArrowOS, AOSP and Voltage. Should I try one of these or wait for a ROM, like Syberia?
As title says im searching for a combo of ROM and kernel that saves battery and gives smoothness to ui. Im on Arrow os 12 and as for now i tried Vantom Kernel releases 198 which gave problems with bluetooth and gcam, 196 battery drain and 192, the most stable one, but has some problems when booting the device, causing it to freeze on bootanimation.
Anyone knows a better kernel for ArrowOs or can suggest a nice combo Rom/kernel?
