I know this is a lame question. But which one is currently most stable rom for redmi 9 from your experience. I used corvus, nusantara, bliss, evolution x. Fist one/two week everything runs smooth. But then bug starts appearing here and there. Launcher keeps stoping, battery draining, hang etc. Debloated stock rom has very less bug but miui optimization and ram management stops me from loving miui
Pixel : Experience (A10)/Extended
For sure there is none custom rom without bugs, for sure at moment the last miui perform much better as any custom rom here, but with root, ive tested all and the latest miui android 11 is more stable, better battery and butter smooth, cheers!!!!

Hi everybody,
So I tried LineageOS, CrDroid (favourite one) and EvolutionX 2.0 and while I liked the experience as a whole, I seems to me that apps launch time on custom ROMs is way slower than MIUI (tested on EvolutionX and CrDroid).
For example Youtube takes 5-6 seconds to open on custom ROM but only 1,5 second on MIUI, and it's the same thing with most other apps.
I always see things such as "lightning fast ROM" or "very fast ROM" in the comments, like no one has noticed that apps are much slower to load.
Hell, even my old Honor 6X does much better than my Note 7 on custom ROM in that regard.
So, is it just me or is that normal because of less optimization ?
I also noticed that the custom rom works slower, that's why I switched to stock miui
Hi, I used Resurrection Remix and did not faced any slowness. Youtube for example took 2-3 seconds to open.

Interesting, maybe I'll give Resurrection Remix a try later sometime. Thanks for your reply.

I use pixel experience and youtube opens in 2-3 seconds, but this rom uses more ram than stock, in stock free ram is 800mb / 1gb, pixel experience is 800mb / 600mb. Sometimes it causes slowness.
Prefer stock miui.eu version over other custom roms . I also switched back after trying 2-3 roms to miui.
Weird, in my case the custom ROM (AospExtended no gapps, using MicroG, no custom kernel or firmware update) made everything way less laggy and more snappy in general. Apps open in 1 or 2 seconds all the time, battery life is exactly the same as MIUI, gaming performance is the same as before, I've got like 2GB of free RAM (I used to have around 1.5GB with MIUI) when not gaming and most importantly, 0 bloatware.

Interesting as I'm interested in MicroG/NoGApps [do not have the device (yet)]. Usually I prefer LOS, so if official LOS exists the MicroG builds from download.lineage.microg.org - because of hal1/3 issue on lavender official LOS does not look nearby. So best MicroG ROM options to avoid deodex services.jar seem to be [OFFICIAL][9.0]AospExtended v6.6 or Havoc-OS-2.6-[9.0]-[Official] or [9.0][OFFICIAL]crDroid v5.6[Lavender]?

They should all work nicely, all three of them support signature spoofing.
Using Resurrection Remix and its a lot smoother

Smoother than stock miui?
I went back to global MIUI (debloated) since it's the smoothest but I do miss CrDroid though
However RAM was never an issue with both stock and custom Roms, always around 2 GB of free RAM.
I'll give Resurrection Remix a shot someday I think.
When I first set up Pixel Experience, it was considerably slower than miui. Turns out I mistakenly set up my super old 64gb microsd as internal storage. The os installed several apps to the microsd. I had to reimage and set it up as removable storage and all is well.
Miui 11
I think Miui rom is always the best.
Los16 is definitely faster than miui!!!
I have Havoc OS 3.2 Android 10 on my Redmi 5 plus and it is super fast compared to miui 10 or 11. Animations are fluid and the whole system feels like flagship. Miui 11 was a disaster on my phone and many other models.
Hi , i used to use OnePlus 3t. I recently upgraded to k20pro. I really dislikes miui for advertisement , data collection , bloatware , bugs etc. I prefer stock android like experience like oxygen os . I have seen there are pixel experience and evolution x rom available for k20 pro (most popular) which is the best rom in terms of stability and battery life . And does pixel experience
/ evolution rom hass app lock / app vault and parallel apps support ?
1. Use EU rom (inbuilt L1)
or masik (you get L3) both are miui, its 50% debloated, you can use the debloater tool, to debloat even more.
2. For aosp, the dev himself works on EvoX. very stable, huge fan following. PE, derpfest, havoc, aosip are also great roms themselves.
aosp roms dont have applock and parallel app support as its like bloat for most, but you can use playstore alternatives.
Hi, guys.
I would like to change my Mi 9t pro from MIUI 11 to any custom ROM, because I'm looking for a ROM that gives me a better SOT and performance than stock MIUI 11.
What's the best stable ROM that I can find?
Ps: How can I keep the MIUI stock camera app in any custom ROM, or if it's included in some ROM (with no bugs, if it's possible), Wich ROM would you recommend me?
Thank you all.

I've been using EvoX for quite some time, have been enjoying it. It covers all the concerns that you've mentioned.

-MIUI will give you the best SOT. It has more aggressive battery optimizations.
-I can vouch for EvoX. There have been regular updates, it has the most user-friendly features, but the developer has taken a leave yesterday so the development in the next month or so maybe a little slow. Other option is Lineage.. It also has similar development.
-No rom will be as stable as MIUI. Fingerprint will be slightly slower on the roms.
-There will be minor bugs.
-For the MIUI camera, you can flash ANX Camera.
Hope i helped!
Asoip and extended ui rom are very smooth roms which i could recommend and are regularly updated. Also in Asoip rom it has the option of FP unlock with the screen off which is only in this rom i believe.
Unofficial Havoc 3.2 is the best AOSP 10 ROM I've used so far.
Install ANX Cam for stock camera experience on custom ROMs
TOP AOSP (popular): EvoX, derpfest, aosip.
TOP MIUI (popular): EU-LS, masik, miroom.

For best SOT , Miui is great.
There is a Flashable zip for stock camera in the Official Channel on Telegram.
And yes, some roms has fast fingerprint speed but some are slow as written in the comment above.
I like miui for its features, and its obviously most stable.
If you want customization with MIUI then use MIUIPro or MiGlobal Roms they have same performance with more features and customizations.

I love Evolution X Rom too but on my Redmi K20Pro, there is a Video playback issue where you play a video and it freezes for a couple of seconds frequently. Did you happen to experience this?
I'm pretty fed up with MIUI and it's limitations and I'm considering switching to a custom ROM but I'm having a hard time finding much information about how usable are the currently available releases. I've heard good things about Havoc and xiaomi.eu.
Which ones did you try and which ones are the most stable and have the most stuff working?
I am a redmi note 8 user and I personally choose xiaomi.eu over the other roms. It has more features than stock miui and it feels smoother. I don't like custom roms from xda because they are not updated regularly and have more bugs(at least for my device). You should try both although so that you choose.
I am using havocos. It is very stable. You can try that. Only screenrecorder is not working, everything else is working fine.
I use stock MIUI rom-excellent rom for my Redmi 8!:good:
I am tired of jumping from one rom to another due to constant issues. Some roms have bad battery, Some roms are so buggy, Some stop receiving updates, Some roms don't have the useful features. I want some kind of Rom suggestion that has proper updates, Stable and good battery backup. (Anx Camera if possible)
@Hehe_boi I’ve had good luck with PixelExperience (13 plus edition, which has some extra features over the stock PixelExperience (and real Pixel) ROMs) in terms of updates and some truly helpful features. It also has good battery life IME
I can suggest Cherish OS which has two versions vanilla and gapps
or if you prefer gapps versions only i can suggest evolution x which is a good stable and customized rom
or maybe pixel as @traman124 said but i did not try it before to confirm

Wait for a stable EliteROM. It will give you the best MIUI experience you can get, and the MIUI camera is supposed to be preferred. I avoid the weekly updates... bug city! I currently run crDroid 9.x on my daily driver RN11, though. crDroid is based off Lineage yet requires the MIUI 13 (not 14) firmware to be installed first.
