Is this the right place for Samsung note 9 T-mobile?

Hello All,
It has been a while since I returned back to the forms and seems kinda hard to find the path. . . .
Is this the right place for Samsung note 9 Tmobile? if not, can someone please point me to the correct forums for the T-mobile users who has the Samsung Note 9 Smartphone.
I see a lot of threads for Verizon and ATT and I don't want to be in the wrong place.
Like everyone else, I want to dig into the threads and root my Note 9.

Yes this is the correct place, the threads aren't broken up by carrier anymore also unless you have the Exynos version (which I assume you do not because you said that's on T-Mobile) Root is not available for the Snapdragon variant and I believe it hasn't been since the Galaxy S7?

acctualy, the forum is not wrong but your phone is.
so if you thought about rooting it, then you bought the wrong note 9 model.

Yup! You're in the right place! However, there is no root for the US Note 9s with the Snapdragon processor. Only the international versions have unlockable bootloaders and/or root. But the problem with an international version is no warranty and you won't have as great of a signal due to differences in supported radio bands and lack of carrier aggregation. Though some people in the US have had luck with them.
Also once you unlock the bootloader and root, you break Knox, which is permanent. Once that happens you'll never have Samsung Pay, Secure Folder, etc...again.

The Note 8 HAD root. Samfail was patched long ago when Oreo came out. The developer of Samfail said it was impossible to root the Note 8 now.

Yeah, but he'll lose carrier aggregation, so poorer signal strength, and US Warranty. And once rooted, Samsung Pay, etc.
What I want to do, but not in any specific order
Glad I made it here!!!
Thanks for the reply everyone who chimed in.
Here we go again with the no "root" from the 7 edge to this . . .
T-Mobile had this promotion that was hard to pass up so I upgraded.
What I want to do, but not in any specific order
Root
De-Bloat the bundled apps that I will not use
Install recovery tools
Install backup tools (need root)
Pimp out the kernel
It take me awhile to navigate around XDA to look for these tools and such.
I have never used Samsung Pay nor am I onboard with that service.
If anyone knows where I can find some of these tools, please don't hold back because it will take me awhile to get started.
Thanks Again!

appart from using adb to disable packages, none of the above list is possible without root.
nothing has changed regarding if the device is unrootable then these things aren't possible.

YOU
CAN'T
ROOT
THIS
PHONE.
Root is not possible. Root will not be possible. You bought a phone that can't and won't be rooted. The developer of Samfail said it was impossible.
You can't have root.
Just in case you want to root the T-Mobile Note 9...you can't.
Ok, no one has provided a root or cooked a Kernel . . .
Are there any rooted roms that were baked?
Silly to ask, but are there any pure android roms for this Note 9?

I'm not sure why you're so confused. The bootloader can be unlocked. So no custom ROMs. NONE. There is no root and never will be.
What you're asking is impossible.

please read up more on the subject.

About TWRP, Magisk and Custom ROMs

Do you think any of these 3 will come to the S20 FE, if so which one?
I assume TWRP/Magisk and maybe custom ROMs might make it to the Exynos 990 variant, but will it come to the SD 865 version too?
I think the EU snapdragon variant will get them, seeing as they have the ability to OEM unlock
Noob here. Was about to ask whether it's possible to root SD 865 at the moment? I can't seem to find a thread on how to do this.

Don't think it's available (yet), but saw talk on the S20 forum that it may be once the kernel source is released. Seems to involve a hack and a PM to a dev, and possibly a cost to do so for the normal S20.

follow a guide on the process, there's a format of the data partition involved for bootloader unlock, for magisk and for internal memory encryption removal.
if you want root without TWRP follow this guide https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html
if you want root AND TWRP visit the kernels recoveries and roms section, see afaneh92's TWRP thread for snap dragon.
read and read again until you've got a rough idea what you need to do. make sure you've got everything you'll need before you start.

Hey bro, idk if you will read this but i really need help with rooting an S20 FE Snapdragon. I was decided to buy an S20 Plus Snapdragon, SM-G986U, I was ready for purchasing it but just days ago I noticed in many forums here that S20 Snapdragon couldn't be rooted, only Exynos based in, so as the S20 Plus couldn't be I thought S20 FE would be the same, but reading all the replies here I think I have a hope now. I want root because I play Fortnite Mobile and root allows me to unlock 90 fps on any device. I really hope you can help me, of this depends if I purchase a new phone or not lol.
I thought u could please help me in root process of S20 FE or maybe S20 Plus if it's possible.

what country are you in ?
if you're in the US or Canada you won't be able to root now sadly. in other countries the FE with snapdragon or Exynos can both rooted
HOWEVER... if you want a 90fps refresh rate then NONE of the FE models support it, the hardware physically cannot do it. it's 60 or 120 nothing else.
Is there root for SM-G781U1/DS? It's an unlocked S20FE using Verizon.

Samsung mostly sells snapdragon flagship phones in the US and Canada, they're only locked because Samsung does what the US carriers want. but Samsung also only usually sells the snapdragon versions of it's phones in America, Canada and Asia. people think all snapdragons can't be rooted but that's not true.
if you buy a snapdragon Samsung from outside of the US or Canada you'll be be able to root it. if you buy an FE in the states you WON'T be able to unlock it, it's all about where you buy the phone.

sadly no.

is s20fe with snapdragon 865 4G (SM-G780G) rootable?

Is the snapdragon version rootable? Has anyone rooted their snapdragon version?
I don't have that version but the answers are yes and yes.
the method to root with just magisk is the same for all phones more or less, with TWRP you can follow the instructions for the 5G version and use the 5G TWRP.

i had read somewhere, it think it was the snapdragon 855 s10, that werent rootable. Are you %100 sure this s20fe with snapdragon is rootable? Also is it doable with magisk?
Qualcomm chips on Samsung phones sold in the US and Canada have locked bootloaders, since the 4G snapdragon isn't on-sale in North America you are going to be OK. I've spoken with 4G users who've rooted and there are threads and replies here you could've read that confirm all this.
