Hi,
If I go to the folder Android/data it is empty.
Is there a way to see the folder inside?
Before android11 it was possible
Most of the folders in /data would be hidden unless your phone is rooted, yes?
So, if i want to do something i have always done up to android 10 now do i have to root?
instead of going forward are they going back?
do you know if it happens only with samsung or with all android 11?
I think it is most non-rooted phones. It was that way on OnePlus with Android 10 and Samsung (Exynos)/LG v20, v30 (snapdragon) with Android 8/9 (unless they were rooted).
Just use this app!
Files - Apps on Google Play
This app is a shortcut to the file manager of the settings app.

The only thing you have to do, is putting the .apk to /system/app.
From then on, they can't be uninstalled.
The error could occur for example because system wasn't mounted as rw.
When i only transfer the apk then the App is not seen in the drawer
Is there a other Folder where the informations are saved from the app??
Get the app named SGS tools you can uninstall samsung default apps with it then get the app installer (by Rythm software) it check all your phone for apk and install it

That means with App Installer i can move the apps to the system?? Like the SGS Tool?
Well if you remove samsung player and install android's original you'll have only this player so that's it ...
I just use "adb install application.apk" and it works fine for me...

i wanna know what is the best method that i can find the source file *apk on my device if i get the application from the play Store or any store ?? where can i find the source file of it to re install it when i need without internet connection ???
Backup of your app?
Plenty of apps available to back them up with, if you've already uninstalled it I think your only other option is to download again.
Use "App backup & restore".
It creates apk of your installed apps.

If your device is rooted you can find your applications at /data/app and your system applications at /system/app
Just stay careful of what you do with system apps
There are several apps which can do App backups for you if you have root, one example of an excellent backup application is Titanium Backup, the Pro version even allows you to sync your backup to Dropbox or Box. The apks of the backed up applications will then be in the Titanium Backup folder you designated on your SD Card and even in your Dropbox if you used the feature.

They're stored in /data/app.
But, from memory, you'll need to be rooted and use a file manager that has root access to view them.
If you wanted to back them up, it's probably easiest to use 3rd party software like:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.android_telefonie.appmanager
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.mguard
etc
I am rooted and have a file manager but cannot see anything under /data/app
What I want to do is copy it and install it on another's tablet because it's no longer available from the Play store.
Could you use ES File Explorer's built in APK backup? ROM Toolbox has the same functionality as well. I've used both methods in the past.
Hey folks.
First time with the HTC One M7.
HTCDev-unlocked, TWRP installed and Rooted, HBOOT 1.61, and I've installed AICP 05/11/2017
I have now noticed a folder on the internal storage called 'Dianxin' - this is the tree:
\Internal shared storage\dianxin\notify\.cache\846b\network
Inside are two files:
- cd1406cc85bfbea412b36cd44cc43eda.0
- journal
Before I start loading contacts and other personal info, can someone tell me what this is and if I can get rid of it?
Thanks,
Stuart.
Most probably from one of your installed app.
ES file explorer maybe ?
https://www.google.ge/amp/s/forum.x...explorer-malware-dianxin-folder-t3348545/amp/
Possible malware. DO NOT LOAD ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION IN YOUR PHONE, SCAN YOUR PHONE WITH ANTI-VIRUS FOR VIRUSES.
Hey folks, thanks for the replies.
ES File Explorer has not been installed. The ROM (AICP) is LineageOS-based, which in tun was based on CM.
All of the apps I have installed are what I usually use, and have not previously given me this folder.
The only new software is the ROM itself.
Is it possible to lock the folder and contents? Something only I can change rather than any apps?
If you read link given by @JIMSHERIKO above, not only ES gives you this, also some other apps especially from Cheetah Mobile & Chinese based app developers.
If you delete, rename the folder, a new one will be re created upon reboot. The best is uninstall app that related to this if you're concern with security. Sometimes you'll see "baidu" folder, same case as "dianxin"
I have a One S with the same apps installed. There is no Baidu or Dianxin folder on it.
The only different software is the ROM.
Any idea what the Dianxin folder actually exists for?
Does any one know?
And does anyone know how I could find out what app created the folder? Apart from uninstalling all the apps then reinstalling one-by-one...

I suggest switching over to the Maximus HD Eye Rom!!!
It could be some Chinese app, I don't personally know.
You could get a Root uninstaller and see what's unusual in the system apps. But it could also be a user app.
Just change Roms if you are in doubt.
Well, an update - I disabled the AICP Stats collection option in AICP Extras and then deleted the folder and rebooted.
So far, no reappearance of the folder.
samsung note 8 system applications can not be updated to the new version from the apk file (the original manufacturer file from apkmirror) the system shows the application not installed without any information about the error. It does not install any updates from Samsung Apps. My applications - empty, does not detect anything. Same Google Play. For example, the camera version 7.62.2 in the phone, and the new one is 8.50, you can not update it, so do the other system.
How to add News Republic to Bixby screen.

He meant, some of the Samsung system apps doesn't show updates available in the Galaxy Apps store or Play Store. There are updates to certain apps, like the camera and dialer on APK Mirror, but when you download them and try to install them, it gives an error and says the app wasn't installed. That is his issue, that he can't update some of his apps.

Some of the apps you're trying to update, like the camera, can't be updated by side-loading or downloading an APK, because it's a system app. You can't update system apps. In the case of the camera, I wouldn't want to update that anyway, because even though it's a higher version, it's not necessarily meant for the Galaxy Note 8, because the "newer" versions remove the ability to use the optical 2x zoom, which I'm sure isn't supposed to happen. I think those are updated camera APKs for different models, maybe like the A- or J-series.
What you could do, if you are rooted, is to just replace the system APKs with the updated ones you downloaded, but I wouldn't recommend that, because sometimes the updates to system apps might also depend on updates to other library files which you don't get with the APK or can't download and then might cause some problems and issues.
As far as your question about Bixy and News Republic: I have no idea. I don't use Bixby, so I don't even know how it works.

For the 2nd question, have you tried opening Bixby, go to Settings, then go to Cards, then ensure news republic is toggled on (assuming it's installed on your phone in the first place)?
no is not working that, i not see this app in screen.

Hmm if you have the app installed and it doesnt show up there in Bixby, then maybe that app is not compatible with Bixby yet?
