I have been checking all my apps to automatically update after I install them.
Today I went into the market to see 2 updates waiting for me but nothing was happening. I exited the market and waited but nothing ever happened.
Anybody got this working for them?

Same for me, using Paul's rooted version on the At&t N1. I also have most of them installed to the SD card.
i also had 2 updates available and it wasn't updating automatically so i just clicked on update all
I am also using Paul's rooted version but my apps are installed on the internal memory.
Can it be because we are not running stock recovery? Or does the market poll for these updates?

You stock or rooted?
im using stock and it's the same here.
Astro shows as have an update, automatic updates were checked and no go :/
Same problem here. Stock bootloader and rom.
I'm on Stock unrooted N1, and today Astro File Manager updated automatically.
I don't think the phone checks every second for updates, otherwise the battery will be dead in no time. You are probably being impatient

When you updated did the icon show in the notification bar? Do you know when the update was released for it?
One thing to notice is that you are not rooted where the rest of us are. I hope I don't have to go to stock recovery in order to get this working.
EDIT: Well ikarma is stock everything and its not working for him.
Any rooted people here have this working for you?

if finally updated my apps last night at about 3am. I wonder if it will run any updates nightly during that time?

Guess it would be pretty battery intensive if it polled for updates all the time and instantly installed any when it becomes available.
Nightly updates sounds nice and I'm glad that I probably won't have to update 25-30 apps from time to time again
Yup, looks like the automatic updates are planned.
When I was messing around with my phone, I saw 2 apps with an update available on my phone, and did it manually.
Later that day, I just had 2 more apps that updated automaticaly.
So my guess is that it will update on a schedule.
after i woke up this morning, i saw all the 3 apps that had updates were automatically updated. It just takes some time.
Hurray!

I, too, can confirm that overnight, I had two apps update automatically.
Sorry to awaken a fairly old thread but does anyone know if there is a way to set apps to be 'automatically updated' by default. There is only a few that I don't want to do that so it's be much quicker if I only had to untick apps I didn't want to rather than the other way round
Hello everyone,
Since Enomther's ROM thread is closed I would like to ask you a question about this beautiful ROM.
Since yesterday I'm receiving update system notification ( I own a Nexus One, so I suppose is Gingerbread update via OTA )
Well, this shouldn't happen, isn't it? I noticed that I have FOTA killer, so that should do the job, but still I'm receiving update system notifications...
Has anyone the same problem? Is there a way to disable the system update notifications?
I just flashed again the FOTAKiller-signed.zip in order to disable them, but I'm still receiving notifications...
Help please
You can disable it by updating your build.prop
Hi,
Also getting the OTA 2.3.4 update notification.
I am running Enomther 2.14.4 and have applied a patch to remove the OTA notification of the previous 2.3.3 update.
How to remove the 2.3.4 OTA notification?
please could you download it while running logcat and let the installation fail in recovery before disabling it? people are looking for the link to the OTA
FOTAKill.zip and then attempt to install the update. It'll reboot to custom recovery and stay there. Just don't do anything with it, reboot back, and the update notification should be gone.
Not to hijack. I am running cm6 and upgrade my h-boot. When I restarted the phone it ask me to update to gingerbread 2.3.3. However u still like running cm6. But it keeps asking me to update. I still not clear how to get rid of this message. Any suggeston?

I am having the same issue and have tried the above solution. I have also allowed the installation to fail and restart. The OTA update notification still comes back. Any solutions?
Thanks!
Make sure that fotakill is installed to internal memory. If it is installed on the sdcard, it probably won't work.

Odd, I installed it, removed the update in /cache, rebooted, haven't seen the notification since.
I'm on M3 rooted with Despair kernel.
Got Android pay update and tried to activate it by adding a credit card information. It bailed out saying that my phone can't be trusted, I figured out that's because of root.
I tried to unroot in SuperSu. First by disabling Enable Superuser root button, second by Full unroot. Both methods didn't work, Android pay still couldn't be activated.
I then tried to format and flash boot, system, recovery MPA44I images. I started to get a RED message your phone can't be trusted on boot. Android pay still couldn't be activated. NOTE: I didn't erase data partition.
I don't want to do a full factory reset.
What are my options now ?

Go to the Android Pay app info, and uninstall updates. This will roll it back into Google Wallet. You should also go and uninstall the new wallet app if you have it so as to avoid confusion.
After that, I had to find an APK site that could update my wallet app back up to Version 9.0. I've since disabled auto-updates to the Google Wallet app until I see some signs of support for root.

Have you actually been able to make a purchase? I got everything setup and activated but received an error message when I tried to use it. I then disabled root and rebooted to try the payment again. Did not get the error message this time but the transaction did not complete.
I made a payment this morning using Pay without a problem.

Weird since Google has already announced on the complaints in GPS that currently Development Builds and Rooted Devices are not supported. Is Xposed Masking root for you?

Have you tried to make a purchase? @ethan.r.besbris was the only one I know of that has successfully purchased something with root. I too have everything installed but the vending machine and whole foods today gave me errors when actually trying a transaction. I am trying to figure out what the difference is. As of now I do not have Xposed installed.

Hi guys,
So I have the latest version of Android Messages but i still have the old design. I've been trying to uninstall and reinstall it but still not working. I've also tried to reboot my phone and everything but it still stuck on old design.
If anyone can help me I really appreciate it.
Thanks.
It's probably a server side push. I tried the version that first had dark mode but then Google pulled it
Can you tell which version you got?
I had the update, dark mode completely flips and app doesn't open. Switched off the dark mode and all fine. (On pixel experience treble ROM)

You're clearly using emui. Probably caused by the treble ROM, although I've read reviews on Google play saying the same (most likely unrooted phones)

Why wouldn't I be using emui? There is no mention of what ROM is in use in this thread??
Also I am rooted.
Magisk 16.4
PS: There is a tweak that can be done but this was reverted back afterwards, can't remember it exactly but just Google it.
After the most recent update the dark settings were listed and I've had no issues
you need to enable dark mode, force close the app, clear cache.
then it should work.

Unfortunately being able to install or not is random. The only way you can get it to install if you get the verification error is by factory resseting your phone and then installing the apk. Don't think it's worth the hassle considering we will get the update sooner or later anyway.
