Hi I am working on a way to use some of the wave gadgets on Android. So far, I've been able to load some java script in the browser, but I haven't tried it using Google wave. I was wondering if anyone had an extra wave invite so that I could try wave on my g1 and see if I can load my gadget in Wave.
Thanks in advance
thanks to superg05 for the invite
Which Samsung tablets are 100% compatible with the 1at Galaxy Gear watch? I am looking to always have a tablet on my bag anyway & given that I have this watch but no Samsung phone, I'd like to pair the watch together with the tablet & have around as a spare setup. Is this do-able, provided I always have an Internet connection going to the tablet? Is anyone doing it this way or no?

hi ,
First my main setup is .....
Note 4 ( Lollipop v5.0.1 ) with Gear ...Null rom ,worrks 100% ,no issues .
My altenative setup , is Note 8.0 tablet with Gear (this setup i seldom use,) but as i am using Null 23 ROM ( for long time) I can switch withing a few minutes (+-3/ 5 minutes ) between my setups ,as Null Rom allows you to switch /connect/alternate .
I must say orignally with my tab i had to manually install all Gear manager apks ,but this was not really a big issue .
good luck

Do you think these Gear watches should work fine with the Galaxy Tab Nook versions?

hi ,
i cannot say for sure .
However i can say that officially the Galaxy note 8.0 tablet is not compatible with Gear .
That said, i copied all my Gear manager apk's( See screenshot )( This was a long time back maybe a year ? not sure .I still had Note 3...now Note 4 ).What i did was on my Note 3 in ES file explorer app ( Play market ) made backup copies of all gear apks i could see in ES explorer "user app " section .I then went to "backup folder "in ES explorer and found all copies i had backed up .Copied apks to laptop ............connected Note 8.0 and copied into a folder and manually installed all apk
Above took me about 10/ 15 minutes .
Then i took my Gear( Null 23 rom ) and switched bluetooth on and scanned ..paired and ..working ( yes, there is a few limitations like Gear manager won't work...you cannot launch Gear manager app as such ,but then its not necessary ..not needed.
All my Gear tweaks ,watch faces, other tweaks etc ( if i want to ) i do on Gear watch self .
but bottom line its connected and i can receive and make calls and receive notifications ,no other issues
I just tested it again , in switching from my Note 4 (bluetooth off.) Switched bluetooth Note 8.0 on and connected .................. +- .1 minute flat (So i can alternate very fast between my devices)
You have a Samsung device ,who knows ,maybe ?
( see screenshows )
good luck
post note
added another screenshot(3 ) Gear connected to Note 4..took me as fast to switch back, by just switchin bluetooth off Note 8.0 and switching Note 4 on again !
Where can I find a list of all officially supported hardware?
Hi,
I have updated 3 of my Amazon Fires to 5.1..1 today. One of the fires updated itself (unexpectedly), and the other two I forced through the update. On the 1 that updated itself I got a notification/popup about a new browser and did I want to enable it. I selected yes and I now had the Fire for Kids Web Browser option in Profiles and Family.
On the other two, I haven't been prompted since moving to 5.1..1 and the option is missing in Profiles and Family.
All 3 are rooted, OTA updates disabled, no adds on lock screen.
Any idea how I can get this feature working on the other two tablets?
Thanks
Mike

Hi, this forum supports 5th-7th gen Fire tablets; you'll want to repost your question here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-tv
Hi all ..hoping someone can help or advise please.
I used the fire toolbox to make the tablet more versatile but have had several issues when using chrome .
The particular issue that I'd like to resolve is tha way that the numerous tabs I have open are crammed together and difficult to manage . They are simply in a horizontal line . I would like the grid view or similar but cannot get anywhere with adjusting settings in developer mode etc. Nothing seems to work or make any difference.
Does anyone know a way I can get alternative views of my tabs and make it easier to manage them ?
Thanks in advance it's much appreciated .
Bill
