Hello,
In order to unlock the bootloader and install a custom ROM, I need to downgrade from Android 10 beta to Android 9, since the latest beta doesn't work with the official ASUS unlock APK.
Problem is, when I try to flash the Android 9 image, I get the same error whether I try with adb or with the internal tool.
The message I get is 'This package is for "WW_Phone" devices. This is a "" '. Error status is 7.
My phone is neither unlocked nor rooted, so I don't get how it's not recognized.
Any help?

FYI, if you try to downgrade with the android P image found on the asus website, it won't work.
You have to download the image with file name starting with Q_P_UL...

You don't need to unlock the boooader for a simple downgrade. If it's still locked dowoad the image starting with Q_P... then put it in your phone's root folder.

I have a t-mobile branded s10 unlocked to use on cricket. I woke up to my phone asking me to install the android 11 update. I have bootloader unlocked, rooted and twrp so I quickly flashed through Odin a stock rom to get stock recovery i got from. Sam mobile. Now its telling me I am up to date. I'm guessing its because I am using t-mobiles android 10 firmware and they don't even have android 11 out yet. So I'm not totally sure how I even got the update.

Try U1 rom and patched Odin.
i have the yellow screen and black lines prob on my s105g 977n running on android 12 but since i can't downgrade to android pie because of the bootloader i thought about trying an android 10 custom rom my question is : does the same bootloader issue exist with custom roms and can anything help with it? rooting etc?
Hi ; my device is G975F Exynos and Original CSC is NEE. İ am on Android 11 Firmware which is G975FXXSEFUJ2.
i plan to go back to Android 10. i do not know my device's bootloader is unlocked or not. And also do not know is it available for bootloader unlocked or not.
What shall i do ? is it possible to go back to Android 10 for this device safely ?
I'm telling my own experience with my G973F, short answer: no
My phone has a unlocked bootloader and i have TWRP, i mistakenly flashed a wrong (lower) bootloader version, and my phone didn't boot anymore, i was only able to recover using download mode.
Older android versions have older bootloader, if you manage to install an older bootloader you phone will only give a message in the top of the screen saying something like "SYSTEM REV. CHECK FAIL DEVICE 8 BINARY 7"
You can only install a lower android version if that android rom works with your current installed bootloader
