Hi, hope you guys have a good day.
As title mentioned, my device can't use MTP and my pc do nothing when i put usb on my pc port. It's just charge it. That's all. No MTP option. Just it charge. My pc also do nothing. No device software installed icon and nothing happened.
Try to format my device and format my Windows (using Windows 7 convert to Windows 10 and revert back to Windows 7 because my laptop is slow) but still, no luck.
Other function it's fine. Just no MTP not working.
Have somebody experince this before?
Thank you for your reply, have a nice day and stay save.

Hi, thanks for reply
Tried install drivers from Sony website but nothing happened. I use original cable that comes with box, same...no luck. Change with other cable (LDNIO cable), still same.
Sometimes, it detected but mention as "usb not recognized" but it happened in very rare situation.
..and i wonder, is it about water damage on usb or is it software issue or hardware issue? My phone got wash once (wash once with plain water (got sticky choco on screen) since i bought it on december 2020).
hey bro try this. connect your device and open your device manager on your computer. see if any of your drivers have a X on it if it does or doesn't try this driver installer .. its completely safe and I've used it my self

Thanks for your reply, and sorry for late reply,
I've sent my phone for warranty to the shop where i buy it. I've already tried your 1st method but nothing happened but sometimes it says "usb not recognized". Not try the "driver installer" you give since i have sent back my phone for warranty.
I'll keep updated about my phone status in a few days. Thanks bro!
Hi, sorry for late update. Just got my phone, the technician just replace PBA board and my MTP function work again. Only my device not water resistant since they don't replace my back adhesive.
Will do it my self.

Hi all.
I've got a malfunctioning diamond, the data usb connectors must have been disconnected from the phone.
I want to send it in for repair, but i have a bepe rom on it, i am afraid my service provider wont repair it because of the voided warranty by flashing a non-stock rom on my device.
Is there anyway i can transfer the stockrom (yes i have it) to my device, and flash it from there? I can charge my device.
If not, is it possible to overclock the cpu so the device will be destroyed or something in that direction?
-Heien.
Well, you could try to find the problem yourself by using the service manual in the wiki. Or...I can think of many ways you could "destroy" the phone.
please give me inspiration ?

Microwaves leave serious burn marks on the PCB's absolutely not recommended, any technician will recognize the obvious tamper.
There are several ways to brick a device, but these kind of practices are not condoned here, so this info will not be made public!
(Don't even try to PM me about it, I will ignore all PM's regarding this question, no exceptions!)
@heien
A lose usb connector can sometimes easily be fixed by using an SMD rework station (if the PCB traces are undamaged.
If the traces are damaged, you'll be in need of a new main board.
The biggest job on the diamond is to disassemble it, it takes up a lot of time.
But the repair itself would be fairly simple.
Don't even try it with a soldering Iron (ext-usb leads have a small footprint), you should use an SMD/SMT hot air rework station, or better ask a mate who has the experience and access to equipment for these kind of repairs.
Best of luck,
EqX
if u are taking it for a hardware malfunction why be worried about what ROM do you have?
do u think they'll (technicians) check the ROM version you have? why bother? they'll dismantle it and repair/change the mother board. maybe you'll got a diamond with a new motherboard and a new-stock ROM.
@ eqx
Thank you for the very kind, but nerdy suggestion I'm afraid my ten thumbs would kill the phone permanently.
@Kukuriku
is this something you have experienced, or ? but i get your point, maybe i should just turn it in tomorrow..
Are you sure the problem is hardware related?
I have pretty much the same problem as you. My diamond can charge through the usb port but cannot be detected by any PC (I tried several PCs). I also use bepe rom (9.7).

No. I have tried entering bootloader mode via bluetooth or with SSPL-Manual.exe but it’s still not detected.
The PC sometimes shows the "new peripheral detected" icon in the taskbar, but it disappears after a few seconds. The phone also shows me the menu (asking me to choose between activesync , storage disk and internet sharing).
PS: I have tried soft and hard resets

bootloader via bluetooth? i mean the Tri color boot screen.
while the phone is off, press volume down and power it on.
then connect pc via usb. "usb should appear on screen"
try flashing other that bepe's rom. it might be a software issue.

Thanks, but so far I haven't managed to get it to display "USB".
Either it shows "serial" or it shows nothing
basically my usb port is f***ed...
I'm stuck with a 1 month old phone that I can't flash or send back to orange for repair/exchange
+ I can only transfer files on it by bluetooth!
I plugged charger cable into my phone tonight and the phone restarted, it then loaded up to the o2 logo screen which displays for a few seconds and then it reboots, it keeps doing this until i hold down volume up and the power button and it vibrates 3 times.
If i switch it back on it repeats the cycle of rebooting.
Anyone got any ideas ?
It also doesn't appear to charge if i plug a charge cable into it and when i connected the USB from the phone to my laptop with the phone on it made the laptop power off
Any help appreciated i tried xperia support but they weren't much help
Can u try charging it via laptop. Guess Ur system has crashed. The last option I could tell u is to flash the firmware again via PC companion or flash tool. Good luck

Thanks for the reply, i left the phone on for a bit and it no longer is stuck in a loop, it just flash's red light 3 times.
Nothing works to make it switch on and nothing happens if i plug it in to charge ?
doe's anyone know how i go about getting it repaired under warranty, Sony's on line help was less than helpful.
I got the phone from the car phone warehouse back in Feb, but my experience from my last phone going wrong is they don't want to fix it under warranty and find any reason to get out of it, also just read my insurance document and it states it won't replace/repair the phone if it should still be under warranty
How can a phone provider refuse warranty replacement of a clearly screwed up device? That's ridiculous

Well I have found that the original charger cable is faulty, hence why it isn't charging!
I have used a new cable and if I use SUS to try and fix the phone then it will show a blue light...but then states that it can't find a driver for S1Boot Fastboot ? :silly:
Any ideas what this driver is and how to install it or is SUS meant to install the driver and my phone is to broken for it to recognise it ?
Thanks :good:

You can hard shutoff the phone and let it charge, its better to keep it always charged, just in case...

Go on the Sony website and organise a repair through them, It will be much faster and you don't have to deal with Carphone WH at all!
Just fill in a form or chat to someone online and they will give you the address to send it to free post.
Package it up and you can track it.
I wouldn't open it up but it sounds to me as if the battery is not connected or present, ive fixed a few Xperia Zs and if you remove the battery and plug it in the boot loop goes on and on.
As long as you haven't opened it, the white stickers under the flaps have not gone pink, its not physically damaged, you have not rooted it AND its still under warranty.... they should replace it!
If its your fault and you damaged it I think they charge £14 to return it or destroy it, whichever you prefer.
Good luck
Hello, my situation is this: S3 Mini running Carbon Rom 4.4.4 , flashed with TWRP. After running great for a few weeks, suddenly after charging all night the phone froze ( was on FB on CM Browser). It was totally unresponsive to any attempts so I pulled the battery ( this did happen a couple times before) and when I tried to restart, nothing. The phone responds to nothing, no download, no recovery, no charger.... battery is charged and I did try a different battery to no avail. The only response I get is if it is connected to a PC before I install the battery then when I install it (the battery) the PC tries to install u8500 usb rom drivers, which of course it never finds. Samsung device drivers are installed on the PC. Odin also fails to see it.
Is it dead? Is it salvageable? Can I recover any data off it?
Sorry for the new thread but it seemed I could not find a case exactly like mine.

I had the same issue after flashing a wrong bootloader. I gave the phone back where I bought it telling that I doesn't know why he didn't started anymore. They replaced my telephone motherboard and now it works.

There's no warranty on my device so taking it back is not an option. The phone was working fine for while so I suppose it's not the bootloader... what suprised me is that it happened outta the blue, not during start up... thanks for the advice though mate.

basically from what I've read, the jig you either buy off Ebay for 3$ or solder 300kΩ across pins 4 and 5 of a micro usb connector, But look it up before cause a nuclear holocaust

Honestly, I didnt think the jig would work, which is why Im not in much haste to do it, before you dump it though mate, try and find someone close to you with a JTAG setup.... I havent had much luck with that.
It was an ok phone... either I had high expectations or it was below the hype but that is just my 2 cents... at the end of the day it was a useful tool....
Hello.
When I try to power on the phone nothing happens.
The only thing I can feel — is a little vibration.
If I plug the charger, vibration becomes periodical.
Nothing more.
I can't plug it to the computer.
Windows doesn't see it, even doesn't show it as unknown device.
On *nix systems there is even nothing in dmesg.
So, is there any chance to resurrect the device?
That vibration let me hope for a miracle.
Thanks.

Yes, really, using this program.
It is not the matter of program or drivers.
I've already wrote that there is even nothing in dmesg, like I plug empty usb cable.
As I think you should take it to a service center of Microsoft to check status of your machine seems problematic

try buying a separated batt charger... once the batt is fully charged, it will boot up. no worries on software... it might be due to hardware... the charger pin (usb charger and data connection) might desolder due use and time... and if you where impatient, maaaybe it also might have damaged main board charging fuse...
it is repairable... but hard and not soft.
Guys,

Questions:

2. How can I access C: drive (like PC):crying:
Hi everyone,
I am running out of solutions for my LX1. It is currently running PRA-LX1C432B210, and I am unable to:
Boot fastboot
Detect it with a computer, in any mode (MTP, PTP...)
Use it with Hisuite (the phone is not detected)
I am able to boot to recovery, but it is the Huawei stock, and I can't do much with it. It would not be that bad, if the phone was working properly, but it can't seem to get a good signal anywhere (I'm using an Orange SIM card in France).
This phone is driving me mad... Any idea?
Thanks in advance!
