Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed any root implementation
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless). Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Hmm... Why does the telegram groups report bugs that are not mentioned on this Xda tread ? Is the telegram groups misreporting bugs or did you forget to mention those bugs ?
This is awesome!
Will flash, looking to get rid of all the pre-installed apps for a long time now
What is your experience so far? How long is it running for you?
Which recovery do you use for flashing? TWRP standard won't work (error 255), the 64bit versions I found give me a black screen on the olivelite.
Would be happy for some help
Went back to Havoc 3.8 now, the only custom ROM which works fine so far, but GPS is crap (that is my main issue...).
Many thanks in advance!

What about havac 3.7 and 3.8 which is more stable and have less bugs?
Yeah, used the Havoc 3.8. It is faster than the vendor MIUI, but still not what I am looking for.
My major issue is GPS. But I do not know if this is a hardware or software (ROM?) issue.
I'm playing GPS related games, and GPS very often does not match the actual position, plus games running slow on vendor ROM, bit better on Havoc, but still not ideal.
GPS tools like GPS fix or GPS booster only have limited effect...
Also tried some GSI ROMs, but they do not work on the olivelite. Whether the phone crashes when booting or nothing happens at all and it keeps stuck in the "Redmi" boot screen.
Hello,
I'm not good at flashing a rom.
For my phone I use orange fox official recovery and I also tested with TWRP. But when I try to flash the rom I always get a 255 error.
Can anyone help me on what is a 255 error and how not to get it.
to install the recovery I used the commands: fastboot flash recovery.img then I flashed orange-fox with adb sideload
then I tested to put this lineage os.zip on my SD card then flach it put 255 error and I also tested via adb sideload and it did not work
in the instructions to install it says to flach 64Bits Vendor but I'm supposed to find it where?
I'm sorry for my english which can have problems I'm not english and I use a translator (deepl.com)

Whether this is not a ROM for the Olivelite or we do something very wrong.
Weird that nobody was able to offer support so far...
The only custom ROM I was able to get to work on the Olivelite is the Havoc 3.8...

Can you tell me what you're using? I canot find a build for the Olivelite. Did you use the GSI? How did you install?
Some short instruction would be great
Same here, please make a small howto - would like to install but dont know how
After try several recoveries - 255 error in all of them.
I install it as images (via fastboot).
I followed this guide to create system.img
How to Extract system.new.dat.br and system.new.dat Files
In this guide, we will show you the steps to extract system.new.dat.br and system.new.dat files which are part of Android custom ROMs.

(in step 5.3 it should by 7 not 1)
I have a bug in this rom with whatsapp. I can not send videos through the application, or upload in the state. It only happens to me with the videos, since the images and other files are sent without problems.

No problem if previous ROM was marshmallow/nougat based. You may face problems sometimes if the previous ROM was Kitkat/Lollipop based :good:

First check on the internet or ask customer care of your network carrier for message center no.
Then,
Dial *#*#4636#*#*
Go to Phone Information.
Scroll down and put that no in the space after SMSC:
Click UPDATE.
Hope it would fix that.

Flashing Instructions (Requires TWRP (see other Thread(s) for that)):
Learn these instructions by heart
Incase I manage to make a TWRP for LOS (will be seperate thread then) follow instructions there, not here
Make a backup of EVERYTHING on your internal storage you dont wanna lose
Boot TWRP
Make backups -> Copy them to a PC or similar
Copy Lineage zip to internal storage (if encrypted -> format data first)
Tap Install -> Select LineageOS zip
Swipe to flash
Go to reboot menu -> Select opposite Slot (if youre on A, select B, and vice versa)
Reboot recovery
Now in Lineage Recovery:
Factory reset (sets up metadata encryption properly)
-----Optional, Gapps/Magisk------
Apply Update -> From ADB
On PC via Terminal/Powershell/Commandline:
adb sideload path/to/gapps.zip
adb sideload path/to/Magisk.zip
adb sideload path/to/some/other/mod.zip
-----End Optional-----
Reboot system now
First boot, especially with Gapps, takes a while

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless). Also dump /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/pstore and attach that
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Can this ROM be flashed through TWRP?
A. Yes, proceed with the latest TWRP image
Q. Sounds good. How can I contribute to project?
A. Test the build as much as you can and report bugs which can be reproduced with exact steps and are not random.
Q. How to disable "Apps running in background" dialog?
A. When you see the dialog, long press on it and select "Settings". From there, you'll have a toggle to disable it.
Q. Which Models of the V50 are supported?
A. flashlmdd works on V500EM/V500N, and flashlm works on the NA V450 variants, but not all have been tested there yet.
And another one...
Before following the flashing instructions, flash all the stock 10 partitions onto slot b, including the stock abl and xbls. If you have a variant with kdzs available, you can just do this in lgup with partition dl. You have to do this because most of you probably have the engineering abl (along with all other pie partitions) on slot b right now, and that will not work with lineage. If you have it on slot a, you instead need to flash Android 10 on slot a, and then switch to that to do the installation.
Thanks for the contribution!
Great work Markus!
Just a heads up 5G at least on the Sprint variant is not working. I have sent logs to Markus but so far no luck with getting 5G working.

Yeah, more than it telling me "5G signal stength changed" i cant test... maybe in a few months (thats what the support guy of my carrier said when i should ask again) that they add an optional "package" to book that enables 5G (and yeah, 60€/month is kinda a bit too expensive for me for just testing this). But usually (atleast what i heard from other people) theres no need for doing anything additional to make it work, idk whats going on on your device :/

I used OpenGapps Nano for Android 11 (TEST) and it works fine for me (make sure to download the Nano version for ARM64). Try reflashing the ROM with this Gapps package. (It's labelled "test" but it's stable enough, I'm currently using it)
BTW here are some screenshots
I'm just wondering if I can just upgrade to this by just flashing the zip file with TWRP? Because the steps on how to upgrade from the official guide is only for using adb sideload.

Yes to upgrade from 17.1 to 18.1, just flash the 18.1 zip, then the Android 11 GApps zip and then other zips (Magisk etc.) in TWRP. No wiping or deleting required. I did it this way
which magisk does this rom support? tried 20.4 and it just goes black after redmi logo. tried 21.0 and it reboots to fastboot. any suggestions?

I used Magisk 21.4 and it seems to be running fine. I first tried the latest version 22.0 but after trying to follow the instructions, I ended up with a bootloop so I had to restore to my backup.

Have you tried to flash the 22.0 magisk.apk as a zip file, (rename it to .zip), it worked for me.

I only tried doing that after it's already doing the bootloops.
First thing I tried was the one stated in the Patching Images instructions. I used the TWRP 3.4 for the Patch a File part which is probably the reason why it failed then I flashed that patched TWRP through fastboot then it started doing the bootloops.
Next time, I'll do that instead,

I think ,the boot.img of the rom is the one to be patched. That worked for me in lineage 17.1.
I think the patching boot image is the good choice, because we can keep using the lineage recovery. I like it because it's easy to update the rom.

Yes, the only difference between Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7 is the front camera, and this ROM also has the camera blobs for Y3 front camera.

I think so, yes. But better wait for the official builds. I won't provide any new builds unless there's a bug which needs to be fixed.
One thing worth noting with this build: the notification LED is way too bright, had to set it below 15% for it to appear like it did before upgrading to 20. When will 20 become official on Sony devices? Monthly updates with the security patch would be nice until it is official.

I can't answer that. The LineageOS team is still working hard on 20. No ETAs - that's the rule. ;-) I'll see if I can provide monthly updates, but no promises. You won't get a notification or OTA updates anyway because it's an unofficial build. Unofficial builds need manual updating.

Classical A/B device user error. You have to reboot to recovery after flashing rom to switch to the other slot (which is also mentioned in the official install guide @ lineage wiki).

You just could have read the official install instructions carefully to avoid that.
I have read all the information! my problem is with bootloader, it says bootloader unlock allowed : No
i have xz3 japanese model sov39
If you can help me with this or if you have any software to bypass or unlock this bootloader I will be grateful !!

You cannot unlock a bootloader if it says no. And that's also mentioned in the install instructions. And apart from that jp models are not supported in this rom anyways.
Guess I'll have to stick with android 10
& thanks for ur reply !!

DO NOT Report bugs if you installed Xposed or weird magisk modules
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops-0 and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

One question: How is Widevine and google wallet working on the phone when it's not rooted?

Fixed the thread for the android 10 thing.
About safetynet/play integrity API, LineageOS doesn't allow supporting workarounds or hacks to make it pass on it. You can still pass it using magisk and some modules to override the device's properties.
I could have released a ih8sn package to change properties on bootup so that the safetynet passes by default, but due to one specific vendor blob in our display stack (taken from stock), all the display color changes would break if properties don't match stock (such as night light or livedisplay).
In the future I might figure out how to fix this and release a ih8sn flashable or just make an unofficial build with safetynet workarounds in place. But for now that isn't the case.
Tldr: official LineageOS builds don't pass safetynet by default, you can make it pass with magisk. Once safetynet passes the L1 DRM certification is present.
@DD3Boh
Thank you very much for the effort and development.
I want to report an error with the "double tap to wake" it is intermittent, on occasions it reacts or stops working, in addition to the fact that it takes approximately two seconds to react after the screen turns off, I attach evidence and the log.
greetings.

I've just been told that the same happened on Lineage 19.1, I'll look into it when I can.

Thank you so much for bringing Lineage 20 to the Z8 DD3Boh !!!
Great ROM. keep up the good work. Installed as a daily driver.
Can anyone tell what about autobrightness/color profiles in LOS 20? Does sRGB profile exist and how's it working. It's the only thing that stops me to flash that ROM and leave Android 11 stock.
Amazing stuff, dirty flashed over my unoffical build and it is working great

After installation of LineageOS 20 booting the Zenfone from the TWRP image like this
Bash:
sudo fastboot boot /data/backup/ASUS_ZENFONE8/twrp/twrp-3.7.0_12-0-I006D.img
does not work any more:
The phone shows the ASUS logo and hangs. There is no logfile from TWRP in /data/recovery.
A factory reset was done before instaling LineageOS.
Booting the phone from the previous TWRP version, twrp-3.6.1_12-1-I006D.img, also does not work
Booting the phone from a TWRP installed in the boot partition still works.
Update
I know this limitation:
from https://twrp.me/site/update/2022/10/10/3.7.0-released.html:
This release is a major release for Android 12. Android 13 development has now started. Please see the list below for details.

but TWRP 3.7.x works with an installed original Android 13 from ASUS and also with an installed Android 13 based OmniROM version . So it should also at least boot the phone if the LineageOS 20 is installed.

Bernd

There is a problem with the LDAC codec, it is easily distorted, is there anything else wrong with it?
I agree. TWRP 3.7 dont work on dirty flashed (by sideload, clean caches) LOS 20.
