You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Instructions:
Download the latest build, official TWRP (3.3.0 and newer) and GApps (if you need them)
Boot the downloaded TWRP via fastboot
Flash the latest build
Reboot to bootloader and boot TWRP once again
Flash GApps and any other necessary add-ons

December firmware can't detect VoLTE IMS registration. So phone won't detect VoLTE outgoing call connected status (No call duration, No conference call and outgoing calling sound still ring in background after reciever connected)

If you are in Oreo now and have never updated to official Pie, follow the instructions on this thread to make a backup of your partitions

You can exclude System and Data.
If you want to go back just restore the backup and flash any Oreo rom (or restore your TWRP backup if you have one)

Anyone having occasional issues with SIM card not been detected after reboot? There is no dialog to enter the pin. Strange thing this happens every second or third reboot otherwise its fine. I'm on PIE fw

No need, you can just flash dec firmware and flash this rom, or maybe if you want, you can go back to stock, install all the ota updates, and flash this rom, bcs in some cases, flashing december firmware remove some lte bands, that's why in op flex said don't force update if you don't want more problem.

No bug found with OTA update.
Tested again, everything is fine with clean installation on 0515 version. I will upload it soon.
We will be LineageOS official soon.

I was made FACTORY RESET before i started to test latest release
XPERIA XZ3 Dual (H9436)
GMAIL finally not shutting down, when i try to open it
WEAR finally not shutting down when copying accounts
Can't install REVOLUT from Google Play (it was possible on L17.1)
Apps are more stable here
Display colors are more accurate
Phone is much faster, than 17.1
SDCard working well (!)
...I will continue with testing

Do i need fresh install, or i can do just can "update"?
Cause i found 0514 as stable and fully working... and i have everything set-it-up already
Only thing what i found is more battery draining than 17.1.
17.1 was great for battery, almost 1,5 day on battery.
18.1 i lost 2% in 10 minutes, so...

When i try to download my backup from Google Cloud, it will show me my last uploads, and when i try to download one, it stucks on the "Just a sec" screen with hot a s hell back glass. So I decided to flash NikGapps again. It's more complexity than MindTheGapps... and works great!

Nice, flash new LineageOS didn't need wipe data.
But if you try to use a different Gapps, you need to wipe data to prevent wired problems.

So, if I'm using NikGapps, and you will make new build, i just sideload that build, and it's not neccesary to format /data?

Well most of the builds in that archive are for test, you might face issues on those.

we are finally not permissive anymore, updated links with enforcing build, if you are facing some issues, do reply me and attach a logcat and dmesg

ah and gapps will not work sin1ce i did not dedicate some storage in partitions

Somehow it was my fault. I tried to get back to stock image with fastboot, and may be got something wrong with gsm module. I got back to stock image with MSMToll ( sadly works on windows only) and flashed again with the image from 20211203 - and mobile worked like a charm, then I've updated the LineageOS to the lastest image from 20211209, with encryption and SELinux enabled.
It works great!

Can anybody explain the process of how to make a rom for dummies or can the sell outs hook a brother up one time for the reminiscing of the days of struggle. No offense when I say sell outs it's a compliment cause ya balling. What happened to all my real developers

Hey guys, can anyone help me, I'm trying to Install gapps (open_gapps-arm64-11.0-full-20220215) but it is not working, seems that I need gapps for Android 12. But I cannot find the package on the gapps website. Does anyone have the package and a URL to dowload it?

Thanks for bringing Lineage OS 19.1 to Mi A1. However, I found a few issues for the current build so far as below:
1. Camera app crashing,
2. Can't access to the storage in the Settings app // Settings app crashed when trying to open storage. At the same time, it won't allow me to install apps from Play store and showing an error "Not enough storage space",
3. Unable to change wallpaper.

UPDATE 1: Some discovered bug spotted
1. The hardware buttons are still functioning when I switched to use on-screen navigation bar.​
UPDATE 2: Below are some bugs that fixed once I tried to factory reset the phone as mentioned at the top

I guess so far only these issue existed right now and thanks again for making this build happen to the device. I will update at the following thread again if I discover any bug when using the phone.

pls fix this bug, when i block camera access from quick access tile, why other app still cann acess camera and take photo? like whatsapp? is this bypassed? i mean this feature like no effect . or this caused by gapps? ie security setting changed by flash gapps?

Use mindthegapps, not opengapps

weird bug, bug under the main apps in the bottom of screen, if there are no navigation buttons it remain the same empty space even if i used the hardware buttons

Edit: manually updated from the given 3.30 latest. so far working rock solid. Device has got still potential .

thank you for the sharing thelink downloaded the ROM is working wonderful. using it as daily driver. Rest found no bugs till now. VOLTE etc are perfect. thank you for bringing this beauty on this device

To install the Lineage OS ROM, is it necessary to first install the Chinese 3.33 ROM and then do a factory reset and flash? What if I have the international version 8.1? Is there a video tutorial?

its simple enough. you don't need to use video. just take one usb otg cable and put the chinese rom in the pen drive. and boot into chinese ROM. and go to developer settings and allow oem unlocking. and then follow procedure. it will work without any issues

Hi, can someone post some videos or screenshots of how the smartphone interface looks like with the new ROM? I would be very interested in doing this upgrade both for the Android version and for the new features added, but I'd need to see if it's currently worth because I'll have to format the smartphone and then lose the data and reinstall the apps from scratch.
Another question: since the led bar will no longer be enabled with the gaming switch, how will it be managed? Will there be an additional setting or will it only work with the methods mentioned in the post?

@yangcyborg This device has got a strange issue. If connected with stock charger, the device charge normally. but if it is connected with any other charger like one plus, xiaomi etc the device always charge slowly. Have you noticed this thing.
