Hi, is there a way to disable miui optimisation on Redmi note 10 Pro on xiaomi.eu rom ?
The option can't be found in Developpers settings. (It was available on the global rom)

No. Because on the global rom, when you disable it, you can let Always on display displayed more than 10sec. You can't on the xiaomi.eu rom

probably for the best....the battery drain when disabling MIUI Optimization is very bad
It is an issue as I can't install some programs because of this.
(Vanced Manager)
The strange matter is that if you search for it in the setting it is there, but when you click it is not there (hidden I presume)
It's enabled and hidden.

You can make it appear by pressing" reset to default values" a couple of time under the auto fill heading in developer options (just above where miui optimization settings should be. If this option is greyed out you need to set your auto fill service as google (under language and input settings)
My Push Notification always get stuck in the background. Very annoying especially for Whatsapp which is my main text messaging app.
Turning the MIUI Optimization off to test if it helps on the above matter.
Right off the bat, I have noticed 2 other issues after tuning MIUI Optimization off:
1) the MIUI Theme doesn't work on all App Icons anymore
2) the keyboard keep reverting back to MIUI default keyboard (Sogou)
3) some apps permission was reset

No that doesn't work in newer versions of the .eu rom.
same problem
they should have let the users decide whether they want miui optimization on or off. heck these users even unlocked bootloader, flashed custom rom and root, a freaking miui BS is the least of their concern

....in my xiaomi.eu I can set the time for AON
yes good i solev it !
open terminal on android or use "adb shell" in command line on windows
enter this command:
setprop persist.sys.miui_optimization false
if not worked you need to root access to do this command
It's kinda funny how many people cry about having the option to turn MIUI optimizations off, yet clearly confirm the original reason why the devs made the setting hidden - barely anybody actually understands what the setting really does, they just assume what it does based on its name and the fact that certain features might be "fixed" by turning the setting off.

Hi all, Happy User of the CN Mi 11 Ultra. Everything works well so far. The only feature I currently miss is the Google Discover feed on the left screen.
I know that global launcher added this option. Is there any chance to add via side loaded APK?
The only way is to flash global ROM
Why is it so? I was able to install externally downloaded MI Launcher apks. But it seems all of them did not have Google Discover. Could somebody please post the launcher APK from the global ROM?

What security do you degrade exactly? Which aspect of it?
Imagine loosing your phone with Crypto Wallet on it. Which one can be hacked easier - with bootloader lock or without.
And please don't start on how secure unlocked bootloader is. It's just not. Having ability to flash anything on top of the original ROM via fastboot just opens a lot of additional attack vectors. And TWRP will make everything even easier for the attackers. And no I am not paranoid but doing this just for Google Discover is a no go. I would then rather wait and buy a global version of the phone.

You have a very poor understanding of technology if you think it does
Here you have one version of miui launcher that has a google discover instead app vault, and it works in any miui version.
Is there any version of MIUI Launcher for Global ROM that has a double tap to lock the phone?

Memory extension is probably just a type of swap memory, and since storage flash memory is slower than RAM, when it is in use you can expect lags.

Just updated with your guide. No issues !
One thing to note for the benefit of others: when you reboot for the first time after update and magisk install, the booting time can last a few minutes. You will see the MI logo and 3 dots with running lights at the bottom during this process. Normal.
Also if you have AFWall+ and / or ad blockers like Adaway setup to block your phone from accessing Xiaomi servers, this method will fail because it tries to verify the .zip file by connecting to Xiaomi. So you have to turn off these protections. This to me is actually a little less than ideal, so maybe next time I will see if I can install via fastboot / recovery or something like that.
Of course if this is not a concern, then the guide is still an easy and straightforward way of updating your MIUI. Thanks again to Pho3nX
Strange, it just appeared
My battery life is now very bad with this update...4hrs sot max instead of 7hrs that i used to have. I debloated the phone and disabled everthing.
Today I received the 12.5.7.0 update.
I have just got Vodafone Redmi Note 10 5G that currently has these:
Model M2103K1
MIUI Global 12.0.5Stable 12.0.5.0(RKSEUV
Octa-core MAX2.2G
Android 11 RP1A.200720.0
Android security update 1021-07-01
Baseband version MOLY.NR15.R2.MP.V4.3.P46
Kernel version 4.14.186-perf-g5799a62cc17b
Now I want to use the Xiaomi stock dialler instead of the Google Dialer. I believe for that it needs to use EEA rom.
I also read somewhere that there is a 168 hour wait, but not sure what it is.
Can someone guide me through please?
Thank you

You don't need to reflash. There is a Magisk module, which installs stock dialer and sms alongside Google ones. If recording doesn't work - install the APK
