Even i seen that the Memory Extension could be acticate
And the Boot Logo has been Changed like on the Chinese Rom.
Just installing it
Edit: can confirm that memory extension is turned on by default, i turned it off and it required a restart.
In battery settings, there is a new performance mode. Haven't tried yet.

Can confirm this option is placebo and useless (because i have this option from the first CN release)
Some users feedback Memory extension causing lags.
And optimization are in fact a big underclock (for fix heat issues).

Memory extension is probably just a type of swap memory, and since storage flash memory is slower than RAM, when it is in use you can expect lags.

Advice needed on rooted Mi 11. No TWRP installed.
When I update, should I download the fastboot version, use miflash, then pick the option to "save user data"?
Thanks.

What is your actual ROM / Branch, if it's an official update on the same branch (EEA) RKEUXM > RKEUXM or (Global International) RKMIXM > RKMIXM etc... You can just follow my guide with Screenshots here

Thanks so much. Mine is RKBEUXM (EEA). When I bought the phone it was on Global. First thing I did was bootloader unlock then wiped and flashed and debloated before I started using my phone.
Will give your guide a try ! Thanks again.

Just updated with your guide. No issues !
One thing to note for the benefit of others: when you reboot for the first time after update and magisk install, the booting time can last a few minutes. You will see the MI logo and 3 dots with running lights at the bottom during this process. Normal.
Also if you have AFWall+ and / or ad blockers like Adaway setup to block your phone from accessing Xiaomi servers, this method will fail because it tries to verify the .zip file by connecting to Xiaomi. So you have to turn off these protections. This to me is actually a little less than ideal, so maybe next time I will see if I can install via fastboot / recovery or something like that.
Of course if this is not a concern, then the guide is still an easy and straightforward way of updating your MIUI. Thanks again to Pho3nX
Strange, it just appeared
My battery life is now very bad with this update...4hrs sot max instead of 7hrs that i used to have. I debloated the phone and disabled everthing.
Today I received the 12.5.7.0 update.

probably for the best....the battery drain when disabling MIUI Optimization is very bad
It is an issue as I can't install some programs because of this.
(Vanced Manager)
The strange matter is that if you search for it in the setting it is there, but when you click it is not there (hidden I presume)
It's enabled and hidden.

You can make it appear by pressing" reset to default values" a couple of time under the auto fill heading in developer options (just above where miui optimization settings should be. If this option is greyed out you need to set your auto fill service as google (under language and input settings)
My Push Notification always get stuck in the background. Very annoying especially for Whatsapp which is my main text messaging app.
Turning the MIUI Optimization off to test if it helps on the above matter.
Right off the bat, I have noticed 2 other issues after tuning MIUI Optimization off:
1) the MIUI Theme doesn't work on all App Icons anymore
2) the keyboard keep reverting back to MIUI default keyboard (Sogou)
3) some apps permission was reset

No that doesn't work in newer versions of the .eu rom.
same problem
they should have let the users decide whether they want miui optimization on or off. heck these users even unlocked bootloader, flashed custom rom and root, a freaking miui BS is the least of their concern

yes good i solev it !
open terminal on android or use "adb shell" in command line on windows

It's kinda funny how many people cry about having the option to turn MIUI optimizations off, yet clearly confirm the original reason why the devs made the setting hidden - barely anybody actually understands what the setting really does, they just assume what it does based on its name and the fact that certain features might be "fixed" by turning the setting off.
Hi all, Happy User of the CN Mi 11 Ultra. Everything works well so far. The only feature I currently miss is the Google Discover feed on the left screen.
I know that global launcher added this option. Is there any chance to add via side loaded APK?
The only way is to flash global ROM
Why is it so? I was able to install externally downloaded MI Launcher apks. But it seems all of them did not have Google Discover. Could somebody please post the launcher APK from the global ROM?

What security do you degrade exactly? Which aspect of it?
Imagine loosing your phone with Crypto Wallet on it. Which one can be hacked easier - with bootloader lock or without.
And please don't start on how secure unlocked bootloader is. It's just not. Having ability to flash anything on top of the original ROM via fastboot just opens a lot of additional attack vectors. And TWRP will make everything even easier for the attackers. And no I am not paranoid but doing this just for Google Discover is a no go. I would then rather wait and buy a global version of the phone.

You have a very poor understanding of technology if you think it does
Here you have one version of miui launcher that has a google discover instead app vault, and it works in any miui version.
Is there any version of MIUI Launcher for Global ROM that has a double tap to lock the phone?
So how is it in xiaomieu?
Hi guys,
Got a quick question: according to my device there are no updates available. I'm still on china 12.5.2 so there should be one available right? Anyway the weird thing is that my phone keeps displaying the option the reboot. Even when I do it's still there after reboot. Weird right? Do you guys have this as well? I've removed some things with adb, could that be it? Or am I overthinking and will I have to wait for ota? Thanks!

Your on the stable branch. Updates now and again when fully tested on the weekly(beta) branch of the kernal. If you want to change to weekly, then unlock your bootloader and fastboot flash a weekly version but make sure you format data as there may be partition differences between the two, if you don't, you may end up bootlooping until you do

No, my bootloader was still locked and it worked right away for me on the stock Updater. I was also stuck on CN 12.5.2 for a while. Just tap the MIUI logo a couple of times until it says more options have been unlocked. After that, you should see an icon with 3 dots in the top right corner.
Click on that and then select install from package.
You mean to reach the version in yoder to unlock the bootloader ?!
You can unlock the bootloader at any version, given you applied for the unlock process and waited around 7 days

There isn't any problems, just because it works for OP it doesn't mean every global variant will get it. You can always get Xiomi.eu if you want a later release. Its practically the same with some slight modifications/ debloat. You could also just get the firmware yourself and flash it.
Yep, right! you can just manually download the official firmware and apply manually the update for your device though

There are users like us who don't want to compromise their device safety, spend time in flashing/troubleshooting and to lose some important features via unlocking the device bootloader like making some of the banking apps useless, etc. Yes, Xiaomi EU is good! Full ROM as always is in the oxygen updater, they always release it and it's always before the system update on the phone..
Just pick full update in advanced
Center clock mod has been updated for this firmware
Unfortunately the package downloaded by the OOS Updater gives a "verification failed" error and won't proceed. The file is a zip so it should just work. Am I missing anything?

If you use oxy updater then you'll need to go advanced then full.
Then it'll work.
[UPDATE] I've downloaded the full update 4.83GB chose the full update in Advanced mode and still get the same "verification failed" message. At this point, I would rather wait for the update to be pushed to my device.

[UPDATE] I've downloaded the full update 4.83GB chose the full update in Advanced mode and still get the same "verification failed" message. At this point, I would rather wait for the update to be pushed to my device.
Thanks for your help anyway @dladz Cheers!

Have you tried to install using the local installer? Version 13 is in my OP.
12 won't work and if you're already rooted I think that the stock one will fail.
I've not experienced this issue before outside of what I've mentioned.
The firmware should be identical.
my phone is losing screen dpi settings every reboot... started with 13.1 only. anyone knows a fix?
Still have a problem when fingerprint unlock and face unlock are enabled and Google smartlock option is enabled on the phone, periodically when the power button is pressed on the lockscreen, no information is displayed until you poke your finger into the screen, but this behavior is only with live standard wallpapers. If you put a static picture, then the screen will simply be black and not react to anything for 1-2 seconds. The smartphone model NE2213 is the latest version of Oxygen OS, has anyone encountered such a problem? I didn't find a solution so far.

No problem here. Maybe because I did a fresh install?

Always helps, I have no issue either.
Could be that they're using QHD, there's simply no point in using it if so. Just burns battery with little to no difference in quality.
Hi, why some updates in stock update won't come and in oxygen updater it come ?

Because they stagger updates, they will happen but could happen at any time.
You can't offer an update to everyone globally at the same moment.
Anyone have a boot.img? I can't seem to use a patched C.30 boot image anymore. The phone boots but I don't get the option for direct install in magisk. Also is this a delta or a full ROM?
