Hey guys. Sorry if this is a stupid question. I've searched and google'd and couldnt find the answer. Could someone explain how to use this app?
I've seen docks with four icons with different apps linked to them, but im stuck with the three buttoms (apps, phone, personalize).
I want to change the dock and some icons but after watching some tutorials for this app the phone doesn't have some of the options in the tutorials.
Im on 2.2.1, S-OFF, and rooted.
Can someone teach me how to do this with this app? And if this app can't do that can someone direct me to one that can?
Thanks!! Sorry for being a noob
To have custom items in your dock use an other launcher then Sense. Something like ADW or launcher pro. Hope this helps

good launchers:
GO Launcher (EX) - my favorite so far
ADW Launcher (EX)
Launcher Pro
OpenHome
Panda Home
Launcher 7 - Windows Phone 7-styled, usable but not really similar to the real WP7 experience
if only go launcher had the ability to disable the dock and use adw icon themes, it would have been perfect.

Well, you could just leave all of the icons in the blank, the go launcher has an option for that.

Yeah, that would've been neat, but I'm sticking to Desktop VisualizeR right now where this wouldn't help either way.

I want to put something in that empty space, only ADW has the option to completely disable the dock.

Launcher pro + customer launcher icons.
change icons, and the dock itself.
Excellent. Gives the phone a new look at any time.

launcher pro+ and adw launcher ex both have the option to change the icons in the app drawer. Just download a .apk icon/theme file, try out ADWi2 theme.
My dock icon look like this
imageshack.us/photo/my-images/525/sc201111041950242.jpg
i want my dock to use the default icon instead of this carrier specific one because they are ugly.
I know is more a cosmetic 'issue' i hope someone can help me
Thanks in advance
perhaps you should try a launcher like go launcher or launcher pro? they have themes that you can choose with diferent icons. Btw theyŕe free on the market
I try few different launcher but i like the default one. I believe i need to change the whole app icon. Dang.

The launcher is the problem though. If you want to change the looks, you will need to go with a different launcher. The carrier has modified the launcher (think Touchwiz, Sense, etc) and you can't change its settings. But you can change the launcher.

I'm sure you'll come across some icons you'll like even more.
I guess it should, but maybe one of those who got their phones already can confirm this.

Yes, it does remove blinkfeed. Tested with apex launcher.
It will still be a background process, will it not? Even though its not visible. Like sense Rosie/prism itself

Torxx, you wouldn't happen to know a way we can have a alternative launcher running and keep blink feed?
I like it but I want my old Nova Launcher back
Alternatively, If I have to make do (which I expect I will have to lol) How can I change the Icons on the home screen Dock?
Or am I just being as thick as a plank??....
Cheers
To rearrange the dock icons, open the app drawer and then drag the unwanted ones back into drawer. You might need to drag them to where they're supposed to go (i.e. I have my drawer sorted automatically and had to drag the camera to where it'd be in the drawer).
You can only have the 4 apps on there but if you remove any, you're free to put whatever you want in its place.

It would be active, continuously streaming content to its interface on the sense launcher
Best option would be to change launchers and then freeze Sense
Just un-check all the options/feeds leaving blinkfeed blank. This way it fetches nothing. Then run you new launcher.

Thanks for the tip but Ive figured that out. The issue Im having is, If I use a Icon changer, it drops a widget on the home screen that is essentially a shortcut to the app you pick.
Because its a widget, it wont let me move it to the dock at the bottom...
I know I could probably go hinting to try and change the pings manually, I just really cant be bothered as I know It wont be long before I flash another rom.
Any Ideas?
Freeze it in titanium if you don't want it.

You can change the default loader back to Touchwiz from within the Nova Launcher settings.

You don't have to make Nova the default.
I have mine set up so the home button launches the weather/clock TW screen.
Then, I have a Nova shortcut in apps that I can click on whenever I want to launch Nova.

You'll have to use an other launcher for that, i.e. Nova.
its about AOD not homescreen. Still need a solution to change AOD to remove the weather information.
With NOVA LAUNCHER you can only remove Weahter, Seachrbar etc. from HomeScreen. AOD is the Always On Display you cant change with a new launcher.
Can you get rid of it in the notification settings?
Sounds nasty...
Do you all just want the weather off or date and next alarm also?
