bootloop after flash rom stock with miuiflash - Redmi 9 / Poco M2 Questions & Answers

Hi, I wanted to install miui again using miuiflash with fastboot V12.0.4.0.QJCMIXM rom. I am doing it to recover some apps that I had uninstalled by adb. But when flashing the stock rom, it was left in bootloop. (I have not used custom roms or custom recovery) Help
I can access to fastboot

You didn't need to flash rom, just reset would have worked or better yet reinstalling. Apps uninstalled with adb still have apk in system, you could have installed it again using adb. Or simply download apk online and install or through adb push.

First questions:
Is your bootloader unlocked?
Do you have a custom recovery installed? (Safestrap? Clockworkmod?)
If your bootloader is LOCKED, unlock it using Myth Tools.
If your bootloader is UNLOCKED, and you do not have a custom recovery, download Clockworkmod and install it (boot your phone into fastboot mode then shift-click inside the folder you extracted the recovery.img to and click "Open command window here" and type the command posted in the thread).
If your bootloader is LOCKED or UNLOCKED and you have Safestrap installed, boot into SS and delete any ROM slots you have made (do not delete the stock slot), then uninstall the recovery through the app, then uninstall the app itself. Now follow the instructions above to install Clockworkmod.
If your bootloader is UNLOCKED and you have Clockworkmod, boot into CWM and follow the instructions on the ROM's XDA page.
Same problem
Same problem here. My MB886 is definitely unlocked, CWM and recovery are installed. Attempted to install Holoblur v.9 Performance from stock 4.1.1. Followed the directions including a format of /system but it hangs during boot every time. Restored stock rom via CWM, loaded latest CM 10.2 nightly build temporarily but ultimately hope to switch to Holoblur when I have more time to work on it.

I think the Performance version was broken for some people, have you tried the Tuned version?
Just flash tuned version then flash PurePerformance mod over it. Voila. (I got a link in my sig).

What about mounting the system before installing the rom?
I can't get CWM to install...i'm Bootloader Unlocked, rooted and on 4.1.1...every time i flash it, it goes to the "Dead Android" screen when i tell MythTools to go to Recovery.....

Are you rooted? If you are, use Root Explorer to change the file named install-recovery.sh to recovery.sh.bak and flash CWM via fastboot using the command fastboot flash recovery name-of-recovery.img.

Help installing recovery! (TWRP)

Ok I've been flashing roms with the default htc recovery without a problem until now that requires me to switch over to TWRP to flash a pacman rom. I thought it would be a quick install with flashing a zip but TWRP doesn't do that for this device. Im trying to install this recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1592671 but the latest version http://www.teamw.in/project/twrp2/76 It says to install with the GOO MANAGER. I can't install that because they got rid of that app because of the new servers. I want to manually flash it with fastboot but I really don't know how to do that with the recovery.img. I've tried the TWRP app but that didnt do anything because it is too buggy. Can anyone help me?
NVM I GOT IT!!!

[Q] Hboot 1.57 OS 5.11.401.10 reboot loop

Hi,
I just got a brand new HTC One 7 (WWE, CID E_11) after my last one died. Im trying to root it and install a custom recovery to install arhd or insertcoin. I used htc one toolkit for this. Everything seemed to work ok, but after booting the installed rom (ARHD or insertcoin) the phone reboots after i see the login screen. I somehow managed to reinstall my phone again yesterday, as it was a complete (soft) brick.
I used this to return to stock:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759000
Now does anyone know why I get a reboot loop? Does anyone know if i installed this stock rom if I get the normal OTA updates again? And do i need to relock the bootloader for this? I would really like to install stock roms again but I'm a little anxious after yesterday. (I've installed custom roms since the old HD2/HTC desire, and also on my old HTC One M7, never had any problems, I think it has to do with the Hboot).
Hoping to hear from you guys,
best wishes,
Olaf

Flash the stock firmware 5.11.401.10! I think your firmware is mismatched.
By flashing the firmware after installing the Rom I might fix the bootloop? Or is the stock firmware necesarry to go back to stock? Sorry bit confused, thanks for your response btw

Flashing the firmware might fix the boot-loop, since you flashed the stock rom! If it does stop the boot-loops, you can re-install TWRP or CWM to get the custom recovery.

when using a sense custom rom you need to make sure you use twrp 2.6.3.3 recovery, do not use the toolkits, most of the time they are out of date and not updated, this would explain the bootloops, take the time to learn how to use adb and fastboot, you'll never look back.
nothing to do with the firmware and no need to flash it, if your firmware was knackered, you would have a hard brick.

First of all thanks for the quick response. I know how to use adb and fastboot (at least I think).
If i would (in this order) do the following, would that be correct?:
unlock using htdev
Flash twrp 2.6.3.3 using fastboot command: "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" (naming twrp 2.6.3.3.img = recovery.img)
reboot bootloader
Flash SuperSU.zip in TWRP
reboot twrp
flash custom rom (ARHD).
The thing is it isn't a normal bootloop (which normally would come with the HTC logo all the time)
It reboots when I try to setup the phone (in the setup menu). Restoring the phone with the link in the OP, ive recoverd my phone, but I would still love to use custom roms again.

flash TWRP 2.6.3.3
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
enter recovery
no need to flash super user it will be included in the rom you flash
flash custom rom, or stock reset rom, if its not rooted, twrp will ask you if you would like to root upon exit.

It seems that insertcoin had a problem in it's installer:
http://insertcoin-roms.org/category/devices/one_m7/one_sense6/
the changelog says: Fixed SuperSU install (might solve the sudden reboot issue in SetupWizard)
It left me without any rom to install, so i had to sideload ARHD, which it didnt want to install via sideload... The next step I isntalled stock again, which I'm using right now.. but I miss xposed framework and other tweaks too much..
I'm gonna try to unlock it again this afternoon and install insertcoin again, but this time ill make a backup first. Does installing the recovery wipe anything?

no it doesn't wipe anything, but you can use xposed and its tweaks on stock rom, you just need to root first, just install TWRP, enter recovery and again upon exit it will offer to root stock rom for you.

I don't really know what happened, did you successfully flashed kdz?
Where did you get it from? Here?: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=15
Try to flash one of these (choose correct one for you)
Than you have to install recovery again.
But before that you can try to wipe /system, /data, /cache and then flash CM11 (I know it works without problems)
And I recommend you these Gapps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942

I think you should try with CWM first, get it: http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.5-p880.img
you can flash it with this app if you are rooted: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.flashify
then you can download CM11 from here: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=p880
and gapps from last mine post
and then boot to recovery, do factory reset and wipe /system, then flash rom and gapps.
Hope it helps
Crash After Flash OTA Vanir 5.0
I had a similar experience. I was installing OTA latest update of Vanir...not realising that it was 5.0...a screen came up telling me that it needed to flash another recovery...not realising why it needed that, I ignored the request to flash. Of course, I then "bricked" the phone. I was able to install the original JB 4.12 (v20c) back onto the phone but now it won't root. I've tried almost every method in this forum to no avail.:
ADB just gives a message "error: closing" when I use the boot.exe method
o4xr method does nothing
all-in-one method also does nothing
ADB does recognise the device. Drivers are installed. Any help is welcome!

Have you tried to flash a recovery using fastboot? You won't need to root (if you are going to use a custom ROM) and/or it will be easier with a custom recovery
Soft brick after last update.
Hello,
I seem to have a similar problem. I updated a few days ago using Vanir updater. There were no warnings re updating the recovery, just a warning regarding losing root. I checked restore root. The phone rebooted to the bootloader logo, then to a black screen. Now, I can access Cyanogen recovery, SW update mode, abd fastboot mode using buttons and the recovery options. ADB can see the phone only in recovery mode, but not in fastboot or SW update mode. CM recovery has no option to mount USB storage, so my PC cannot see the phone, and I cannot side load a new recovery and flash a new ROM.
Is there any way to use ADB if it cannot see your phone in fastboot or SW mode? Perhaps modify the settings.secure string to enable ADB? ADB can see the phone in recovery mode.
Otherwise I will try flashing a stock ROM via KDZ or LG firmware update tool, the re-root and proceed - but rooting was a major ordeal the first time, so I would like to avoid doing that again.
Thanks in advance.
