I have been searching but is their a way to root the Samsung Galaxy Z fold 2 SM- F916U ?
I want root to be able to use apps like wifi hotspot root to by pass my hotspot data limit from AT&T I have tried a few apps like PDANET and NetShare pro and I like NetShare pro but it is not very stable and works when it wants too . I'm not looking for any Roms or anything literally just want root with TWRP that way my root stays so I can use the rooted wifi hotspot app .
Thanks

The only way to root the US based variants requires a paid unlocking service.

I want to root my note 4 to use additional tasker extentions that require root access. I wanted to know if anyone using a Gear S is having issues connecting it to the note 4. I will probably just get root and not flash any custom roms

Hallo.
Used to have a rooted device just for running adaway and backing my system up with Titanium Backup plus.
My Note 5 is not rooted but since CF-Auto-Root is now available for the Note 5 I really do not know whether I should root it and risk my warranty.. I now use Helium Pro for Backing up and am living with the ads.. I do not want to change the Stock-firmware, so I really do not know if adaway and Titanium are worthy rooting my device.
So, fro your perspectice, what are the advantages of rooting my device?
Thank you for your answers.

Nandroid backups is the first in the line. Second one is the retouching the stock rom. Wanam is another cool stuff for your device. Its my opinion, fella. Peace ?
I've rooted all my previous devices but not the Note 5 as of yet. Samsung Pay is due to launch here in the UK soon so I'd like that to work as normal. Plus I use AdGuard now to get rid of ads you have to pay for it but it works well and for now I'm happy using it as is without rooting to ensure everything works as it should.

As some of you will know, Samsung have no longer allowed Samsung Health to work on devices where Knox has been tripped.
This guide will show you how to get the latest version of Samsung Health to run without this block
This works ONLY on NON-ROOTED DEVICES
If you are not rooted and/or cannot root then you can follow the steps below to get Samsung Health working(this will only work if the app is not installed as a system app).
1- Uninstall the S-Health App (if you cannot uninstall the app, this means it is installed to the system partition).
2- Install patched version of the Samsung Health app which can be found HERE
3- Open the app and complete setup
4- Download and install SAI from here: Link
5- Open SAI and activate the option: Sign APKs
6- Download the last Samsung Health from here: Link
7- Install the APK with SAI
8- You should now be able to use the S-Health app without issue

New version of Samsung Health available
Hi There
Since Today i have an Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Duos SM-N960F (German DBT)
The Big Problem is that only SIM Card Slot 1 is affected when using tools like 4g Switcher or just in the Phone Info Tool.
In the Samsung Network Settings even when Sim Card Slot 1 is disabled you can not change to 4g only on SIM2 .
Yes i can switch my Sim Cards but i need them both with possibility of 4g Only in some cases.
I have no Root i know this would work with servicemode and bandselection because here you can choose the wanted Sim card and
then use the BAND Selection for LTE bands and so on. But without Root there is no way to Enter the Real Servicemode ( *#0011#)
Any Idea ?

Hey
Absolutely no way the problem is almost no one is interested in that. I was sick of all this and rooted my note 9 and installed the Alexndr dev Rom with latest pie and Magisk 18.1
The problem is that Samsung changed everything in pie and even with root all secret codes on Germany DBT are not working! Nothing. I was trying to find the EFS/carrier file but it's not there for anabling secret codes. That was how it worked with older models like note 7 and 8.
Even rooted and using Apps like Samsung Phone Information or shortcut manager are not working with Samsung and latest Pie. They get Root permission but not launching any Service codes even with root launcher. I contacted developer but no one uses pie and are doing anything.
The only thing that is working now is that I have LTE Only mode directly in the settings for both Sim cards and its working because the Dev Modified his rom. So that's what I needed but I am very disappointed that I can not enter service mode for changing specific LTE bands.
So if anyone with European N960f is able to use secret codes and real Servicemode with Android 9 please tell me which rom and csc you are.

I don't know if u can change bands but you can make shortcut master to work.
Open the app and favorite the section u want.... Eg: service mode.
Then click repeatedly on the favorite shortcut...
It will ask for root and then it should work

Hi
No even with Root and Android Pie not one Program is Working at the Moment. Even Rooted on my Note 9 with Alex Dev Rom Latest Pie and Magisk 18.1 it's not possible to
use secret codes this is redicules. First time Samsung Phone Infomation and also shortcut manager are not working even when granted root permission and launched via root launcher.
I am also active on other forums and no one has a solution . So i think i am the only one in the World wo want to change LTE Bands on my Note 9 with Pie.
I also contacted the developers of the Apps with no solution so far. Maybe it's locked on my CSC which ist DBT. But this was never a problem with Root.
Samsung must have change sonmething with Android 9 which developers have not updatet yet. At least for the Secret coded. Other things and Programs are working fine with root.
have you tried *#2263#?
What ist the different between Single and Dual version (have different hardware) ? Or only different software ?

Many thanks to you for having mentioned that ROM as it finally provides LTE only for the 2nd SIM slot!
Hence the following "in return":

You can do so under both Oreo and Pie by changing the CSC to "SIN" as the code *#2263# works there directly out of the dialer.
Sry for late reply. Glad I helped you out with that rom.
Now I have an note 10+ and I will not root anymore because to many apps will cause problems nowadays. I am glad that at least for sim1 lte only is easy possible. I am sure that it is also possible for the 2 sim slot on Samsung devices but the needed code for that is still kept a secret.
Hi Guys,
I found a guide here on XDA about the installation of Spotify via Debug USB. Well, I followed this guide and it worked fine with Spotify, Android Auto recognizes it without problems
So I decided to install also Performance Monitor para VAG with the same method, but Android Auto can't recognize it. Why does it recognize the non official Spotify, but not that app? Am I missing something?
I have a Galaxy S9+ (non rooted) with Android Pie
Thank you a lot in advance!

Well... It's known issue of AA. If you want to be sure that your app will be shown in AA you should root your phone and then use SQL corrections by Jen94 or just use Phonetype patcher. Sorry, I don't see any other advise for non rooted phone...
Regards!

Thank you a lot for replying to me, I understood! I'll explain you my problem, I have an old Galaxy S4 with Root on it and Lineage os 14, so I've already tested 3rd parties app enabler (for root), everything is working fine, but the problem is that I have no SIM Card on that smartphone and the SIM card is in my Galaxy S9+ . When I connect the Galaxy S4 with Android Auto, I can't use anymore the Bluethooth on my Galaxy S9+ (car says that connection via Bluethoot is used by Android Auto), that's why I was hoping for a solution without Root, because I don't want to have Knox 0x1 on the S9+ and loose warranty and Samsung services. I don't know if there is a solution to use the Bluethoot on my Galaxy S9+ and in the meantime Android Auto on Galaxy S4. Car is a Volkswagen Golf 7. Hope that I didn't make confusion
