General Fix for scrolling lags in broswer and apps - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Hey everyone .
I have a fix for scrolling lag in broswer and certain apps.
Go to playstore or apps ( in settings) , unintall the updates to 'android system webview '
Restart your phone and it should fix the lags.

Didn't work for me.
Damn that's killing me.

Weeeeeeeeeell.
I deactivated the Android System Webview and all lags are gone.
What the heck ?

Yes can confirm this. Much smoother...

Well good to hear that .
But with deactivating you wont be able to use apps that use webpages to display like the xda app , Amazon app ( india) , etc

Alot of people are facing problems with this app.
What my suggestion is try unintalling the apps that use 'webview' one by one and see which one is causing that lag ( clearing storage of app will work too )
Start with chrome itself .

I don't even have Chrome ;-).
This is insane, but I'm gonna hope for an update and hopefully a fix.

Webview activates itself again every time... But with deinstalling the updates its better
Btw: using Samsung Internet. Chrome is uninstalled...

[Q] The problem(s) with the facebook app running all the time

Why does the Facebook app always seem to be running in the backgound?
Even after a reboot, the app is running - usually 2 diferent services - media upload and notification checker or something.
With an X8, there's not much spare RAM, so to have facebook take up anywhere from 8mb to 16mb of ram is a problem for me.
Is there a way to stop this background activity without having to go to Applications>Running Services>STOP all the time, or, is there an alternative to the facebook app that behaves itself better?
Thanks

Yes it's old bug I try to log off from facebook but it's always back to running services. I fix that with unistall, if I need fb I install it direct from SD:cyclops:
I just uninstalled both facebook and twitter, and will try seesmic for a while.

Ohh yes, I forgot. I use SEESMIC on gcr and after log off there are not backgreound apps from seesmic :good::laugh:
What I do is I "freeze" the app.
That means the app is installed , but it can not run in the memory.
When I need the app again , I simply "defrost" it.
That way I am able to use the app whenever I want and I can simply and quickly switch between Freezing and Defrosting.
I use this application free on Google Play called "Chef's Freezer"

[GUIDE] [UPDATED] How to remove Google Play and get the old Market back!

You don't like the new, slower Google Play Marketplace?
Do you want the older, faster Android Marketplace?
Well let's get started!
Actually, this solution exists for a pretty long time already, and I couldn't find a guide on XDA so I made one myself
It's very easy, actually. You have to follow these simple steps:
1. Make sure Google Play is not running in background. If so, kill it with task manager.
2. Download App Quarantine ROOT/FREEZE from HERE (Play Store)
3. Disconnect from the internet (Disable 3G/4G/WiFi) and go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Play Store > Uninstall Updates / Clear Cache
4. Open up App Quarantine and freeze the Market Updater. (You may want to reboot your phone after you froze the app!)
5. Re-Enable WiFi or 3G/4G (Whatever you use for internet ) And browse the Marketplace with the old app
This was tested on the Samsung Galaxy Mini running the GB 2.3.5 ROM (Stock)
Have fun!
well, i can't understand the nature of this post, as newest play store is not slow at all, and it have much better design comparing with older versions...

I didn't meant it bad And yeah you can get used to it but I use the old market for a really long time already and it just annoys me to see other people using the Play Store :cyclops:

Did that happen after you have used this tutorial or before Google Play existed? It works just fine on my phone, sometimes it says the download has failed but it still installs the app anyway :silly:

[Q] Lag after freeze apps

Hi bros,
I have noticed an interesting thing happen here, always that i flash a new rom (with root access) and freeze some apps like google+, yahoo! weather, talkback and Google talk i see lags and freeze on S Advance. I only freeze safe apps, almost no system things. I freeze the same apps that everybody do to make an smartphone smoother and smarter.
I never saw force close or error message, just lag and freeze, but freeze apps was not to just let the phone lighter, stopping with default applications not use and thus avoiding freezes?? Why I'm noticed the opposite thing that i should?
Today I flash LQ4 again, and i'm thinking to uninstall this apps instead of freeze. What you think, guys?
Thanks!

Network connection is okay???facebook login data is correct???
Facebook data correct. 1732910 number error on screen.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2186035
Same issue.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
with the hint in your link is your Problem solved???
SOLVED!
That issue was due to "Don't keep activities" option on Settings > Developer Options. If it's ON, then when an app calls some popup, system closes app, so then system restarts it ... and there got your loop.
İt doesnt work for me.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
hmhh that`s bad
Connecting to facebook beyond the game is possible - i think...
But in Versions < 4.2.2 it works without any problems ...!?!?!?
Cleaning apps cache - i think you`ve done ,but it is bad because you lost your score in the game ...
Have you broadcast the number code 1732910 to the developer of the game? Maybe he knows whats the problem ...
I`m thinking but i don`t having any idea ,yet ....sorry :silly:
The mod is original so you don`t have deleted any system apps ?!?!?!
i solved the problem.
cause of the problem facebook aplication.
1- remove facebook app.
2- try connect to facebook in the game
else developer options-->Don't keep activities = uncheck and try again.
i think may be require factory reset.
would like thank those who are interested. something wrong about facebook application. 1732910 number error solution is here.

Just wrote an e-mail to King support.
Uninstalling Facebook app and signing in to FB account inside the game works, but I want to have the FB app installed.
Tried with CM10.1 by ADC, release 1 and release 3 (latest) with stock kernel, K^Kernel 3.0.x and 3.4.x, so it seems it's not ROM nor kernel related.

:good: Easy workaround when you know it )
It seems that the FB-App and the FB-part in the game get a conflict ...
I`m interested what the king support will write about the problem and especially for your workaround

Feature for Facebook

so this started happening since i upgraded to android 10...basically it keeps saying updating and downloading feature for facebook, it goes away sometimes but comes back everytime i open the app
anyone had the same problem or any solutions?
also i need to use the official fb app as i work for a company called appen and that requires the use of the official app, otherwise would have switched to folio by now

never had a problem with chrome but i froze fb with tb and only unfreeze it when i need it for work now...still so weird how no one has any idea what the issue is
1. uninstall both Facebook and Messenger
2. install them back from apk not Playstore
3. uncheck "auto update" for both on Playstore
For the workaround, uninstall the Facebook app that was installed using Play store and download an alpha or beta version of Facebook.
so downloading the fb beta version via apk seems to have sorted the problem for now...thanks to the 2 guys who suggested it ^
installing latest facebook beta version fixed for me
so issue is with facebook
same problem on xiaomi eu rom also with google Chrome and netflix
