Install Guide
boot into bootloader
in bootloader type in:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
The .zip installer is in the testing phase at the moment, the img is only provided if you are interested in the orangefox functions, download the .zip called FoxFiles and unzip it, this will leave you a folder called FoxFiles and this folder move it to the Fox folder that was created in the internal storage that was generated after installing orangefox in such a way that it remains Fox / Foxfiles

Changelog
- The installer was solved and this time it is only a flashable zip
- upgraded to oxygenos 11
My SanDisk MicroSD is not working on in this recovery, either.
MTP is extremely slow and doesn't work at all, this happens on any TWRP version iv'e tested
And as MetaruSonikkuX said, an sdcard still doesn't work, no matter what I try
Links dont work?
What's the difference between this (orangefox), and twrp.
I always used twrp since switching from clockworkmod recovery back in the stone age.
Works great. Thanks!
I just noticed that MicroSD isn't working, but OTG is. Hardly the end of the world, but would be nice to see that fixed. Definitely better than any other recovery for this mode. Thanks for the hard work!

Good ole clockworkmod! Those were the days, REAL Talk! So much fun, nowadays it takes an act of God to get a working recovery and then, you're still not guaranteed any custom ROM's or any support. Kinda like this phone, lol! The hoops we had to jump through just to unlock the bootloader is ridiculous, my Nord N100 still doesn't even exist according to Oneplus or any site I enter the imei!
used ADB sideload and now its stuck cancelling ADB sideload. Any way to reboot recovery or power off phone.
EDIT: hold volume up and power 10 seconds (dont mind flashlight)
I got an error:
"""
E3004: This package is for billie, This device (OnePlusNordN10) is not supported.
E: ERror in /sideload/package.zip (status 1)
"""
is this recovery still in active development for this device
Finally got to try this for myself on my T-Mobile Nord. I really like this recovery it's clean, user friendly, and has all the features you could ever need as a root user. I personally choose this over stock TWRP haha. Thank you for your hard work!
EDIT: it's beautiful to have the ability to chance the splash screen for recovery mode... Hopefully this recovery continues to be developed...

Reporting problems
If you wish to report problems, be sure to do all of these:
1. Copy the logs immediately you see a problem
2. Explain fully and clearly the problem, and what you were doing when you encountered that problem
3. Attach the logs that show the problem. If you fail to do this, there would be no way for the developers to ascertain what exactly is going on, and therefore your report would be unhelpful.
4. Give full details about the OrangeFox version, your ROM, and your firmware version.
If you want to know how to copy logs, read https://files.orangefox.tech/FAQ.md

When rebooting to recovery I have to enter a password to decrypt data and then I have access to the recovery, but I shouldn't yet because I have also a password to the recovery. So without the password, I can format data etc, and then when I want to reboot to recovery it asks for a password, which is a little late, don't you think?

Thanks. Indeed, this is a known issue (relates to FBE encryption). It will be fixed in due course (at least it doesn't compromise data security, because the correct password is still needed before data can be accessed).
I've been waiting for this work for a long time, thanks

I had a similar problem, I had to flash TWRP via bootloader (not the official, the one by Arian, that works better) and then as I had been having trouble with the ROM I also wiped system and caches and flashed the ROM and GApps, after booting I went again to recovery and flashed OrangeFox, no problem so far since then

So recovery can't find a partition. Should I have this partition.. I bought my phone more than two years ago. I had a custom ROM since. Is it possible that later MIUI added the partition in later updates..??

Now you mentioned, there was a problem with website, something is blocking it in terms of security, like a risky site.
Have to check outside my common network.
Looks like a protocol problem, nothing strange ??
Nice! This can be hotbooted from adb too, right?
Hello Friends
I have strange problem
After flashing any custom ROM based on Android pie or Q My OrangeFox recovery don't work (touch screen stop responding in recovery mode. Only the slot where I flash the ROM freezes other slot works) I tried many ROMs (my device is teriblized I tried both terible and non terible ROMs but a faced same issue) tried to reflash OrangeFox package but no luck.
Same like this when I enable double tap to wake my phone's screen stop responding once light off the display and start after reboot and again it happen.
Any one can help it'll be appreciated!
(I have observed that doublue tap to wake is by default enable in Recovery mode screen wakes up by double tapping but touch don't respond that is the reason of freezing screen if there is any way to disable DTW in recovery mode?)
I join the question. How to disable DT2W (double tap to wake) in recovery mode?

Nice... unfortunately I can't check it out as I don't technically have this device... I have one that appears to be mostly the same thing but not quite. Do you know offhand what is different from 3.5.2 vs 3.6 for TWRP? I didn't find a changelog yet and I'm curious as to how hard it is to port/recreate this for the Moto G Power 2021 as it appears to have more or less the same hardware... is it using a different board? Either way ty for doing the thing

Team Win Recovery Project is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. Its a fully touch driven user interface no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>

No encryption support?
The twrp asks password for decrypting the storage. What should I do?

You can use this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ncrypt-disk-quota-disabler-11-2-2020.3817389/
I suggest just keeping your phone encrypted though. TWRP without encryption support is pretty much useless. You'll be sacrificing a lot of security and, in exchange, you'll be able to access files in your phone's internal storage from the TWRP file manager...which is worthless since you can just connect your phone to a computer to achieve the same thing. You'll be able to backup stuff but you won't be able to restore anything.
Yes, I'm salty because there was ZERO MENTION of this TWRP being unable to support something as essential as encryption. The flashing guide is extremely obtuse as well. Do you seriously think someone new to Android hacking will have any clue what a vbmeta is or where they should get it from?
Anyway, now my phone is stuck in a bootloop and all my app data is gone (even though I've disabled encryption and made the backup with encryption disabled) just because this piece of junk won't restore my backups. Gee, thanks. I think I'll just go back to the stock firmware.

It is supposed to be the unlock password, but this isn't working by the look of it from booting. Shame, it is a feature I need before I can install it.

It is possible, but I don't have much time available right now.
Hello, just to report that the OTG is not working, it does not recognize a memory connected to the usb type c port, it added that with twrp it recognizes the memory correctly, thanks for your work.
