I received a Moto 1s, which is the Chinese version of Moto G6. It runs ZUI, a Lenovo variant of Oreo.
Is it safe to flash directly a US retail stock ROM (Oreo or Pie) from this list?

Of course you can. Although it is XT1925-10, but I have flashed it from ZUI to PPS29.118-15-11 in Oct.2019, using RSD_Lite_v6.2.4
And now I 'm to flash it to the new PPSS29.55-37-7-2, or PPSS29.118-15-11-5.

One question, if I may. Is it necessary to exclude and not flash a file named gpt.bin?
I was worried that something like the OEM partition or basebands would be messed up. However, I guess LMSA should be able to rescue a bricked phone if we stick with stock ROMs.
Incidentally, how do you find Pie on the XT1925-10? Is everything reliable with better battery life, compared to Oreo? In particular, is dual SIM working properly on both Oreo and Pie?
Will OTA updates be available on the XT1925-10 after flashing a RETAIL stock ROM for other XT1925 versions?

yo tengo un problema con xt1925-10 solo tiene 3g, y al instalar otra ROM por fastboot solo vuelve a la misma ROM China con un baseband chino

I do not know what is wrong with your phone or rom, you can search with the words shown on your screen, or/and you can also show photos showing the words, on this post.
But It seems the Chinese version and the Asian-Pacific version（RETAPAC）has a different front camera（16MP）
I have a RETAPAC version（XT1925-7）and I wonder cross flashing may cause the front camera unusable.

Have any issues with your front camera?
Few days ago I wanted to flash Global Stable ROM & replace Chinese Stable ROM for xiaomi k20 pro. I got the permission to unlock my bootloader through mi flash unlock tool.
So I unlocked the bootloader on PC. Then I tried to flash Global Stable Fastboot ROM using mi flash tool. While I was flashing, mistakenly I chose "clean all & locked" on mi flash tool.
After flashing, my phone got stuck on recovery mode & it shows "This MIUI version can't be installed on this device". While I am trying to unlock my bootloader again using mi flash unlock tool then it says: active mi account from developer options but my phone is stuck on recovery mod.
Anyone can give me a proper solution how to get rid of it? I am stuck with it since a week.
Your help will be very much appreciated.

Only EDL flashing will unbrick. U need to search on net someone with EDL authorized account to flash your phone. This means u need to disassembly your back cover and do test point also.
You could have just unlocked the BL, installed TWRP/ORF and flash MIUI Global on it. Or you could have asked someone here before flashing. Now there is no other way but to flash MIUI CN through EDL mode. By looking at your mistake, I strongly believe you have no idea about these stuffs. Hence, I would not recommend you to try EDL at home. Better take the device to the service center and see if they are ready to help you for free.

I need help.. I bricked my phone ... neither it's bootloader unlocked now nor custom recovery is installed. The only working mode is fast boot mode. mi flash tool isn't working. It's showing cant erase lock file. eld command isn't working either. is there any way to fix my phone by myself?
Did you flash eu beta rom or china beta rom, if you did you have to unlock the bootloader again with the same account you have unlocked it.

Flashee una rom global pero por error no le cambie la opcion de CLEAN ALL AND LOCK. ahora solo puedo entrar en el modo recovery y el fastboot si alguien me puede ayudar se lo voy agradecer mucho.

you have 3 choices:
1. SPFlash Method
Not recommended, but if you want, do it at your own risk (Works with locked bootloader, but please take a backup of EFS before you try this).
2. XiaomiTool V2
Probably will work.
(I just realized you said that this tool doesn't work on MTK, althought someone with RN8P and RN9P were able to change regions just fine. Are you sure you have the correct drivers?)
3. MiFlashTool
Needs unlocked bootloader.

As i said it works well, i removed french operator customization and switched to global, and without unlock bootloader

Lo recomendable primero sería desbloquear el bootloader.
Segundo, descarga en tu PC Xiaomi Mi tools V2 y sigue los pasos xd
Y se instala la Global y listo (Te recomiendo tener la ROM Fastboot del dispositivo a un costado por emergencia) si te salta algún error.. pues con el Fastboot desbloqueado lo instalas manualmente y listo.
Aunque no parezca sencillo, es solo tener paciencia y ya.

@kev99090 primero lo esencial, desbloquea el bootloader de tu Xiaomi, con la herramienta MiFlashUnlock, luego descargas la ROM global estable y procedes a flashear con la herramienta MiFlash, haces los pasos y te quedará un Xiaomi con dos SIM habilitadas
No, pude ayer desbloqueé el bootloader pero al trata de instalar la rom global con Xiaomitools v2 arrojo un error y me quedo en el logo de redmi y se reinicia constantemente y de ahí no sale

I used xiaomitools v2 changed the rom for me, but the logo still appears and did not enable the sim2.
I'm going to do what you tell me to unlock the bootloader and flash the rom to see if I can remove the logo and enable sim 2.

@suarezfco para desbloquear el bootloader te recomiendo usar la herramienta MiFlashUnlock, recomendado al 100%, lo único con lo que podrías tener problemas son los drivers, comienza con este video:

@dajohlopez saludos, gracias por responder, el bootloader lo realice como lo indicas con miflashunlock, pero para el proceso de cambio de rom fastboot utilicé xiaomitools v2 y me dio un error, ahora se queda pegado en el logo de redmi y de ahí no pasa

Hola, si te bajas una rom que sea compatible con fastboot, NO necesitas para nada ninguna aplicación adicional, ni xiaomitools ni nada. Descomprimes el archivo .tgz (con Winrar por ejemplo) en una carpeta lo mas cercana a la raiz de C:\ (yo uso C:\Temp) Acto seguido, allí dentro, encontrarás un archivo llamado "flash_all.bat". Simplemente, verifica que tu pc reconozca el móvil, si conseguiste desbloquear el bootloader, ya deberías reconocerlo sin problemas, entonces clica ese archivo, se abrirá una ventana de Ms-Dos, y con un poco de paciencia, deja trabajar el archivo por lotes, y en unos minutos, tendrás flaseado tu telf. sin problemas. No te deseperes, si pasa algún minuto sin que parezca que no avanza, déjalo trabajar, y si todo va bien, lo tendrás resuelto.
