Hi, i'm trying to find out what is the problem with my friend her samsung s5 mini, (running android 4.4.2, full stock unrooted).
Almost every day her phone freezes for no reaseon and needs battery to be pulled or it simply random reboots while she sleeps and then her alarm doesn't go off in the morning as the phone is waiting for her pin number after restarting (she says turning of the pin is not an option).
Is there someone who found a solution for this or what might cause the problem? i told her to install an app to auto clear background apps and also suggested to take out micro sd card for testing but the problem remained.
Also factory reset didn't solve the problem

This seems to be a common error with the S5 mini. There is a whole thread in the German Android forum about this issue. Also the German Amazon product page for the S5 mini has about 40 users complaining about this problem.
Some users report that the reboots start after some weeks of usage. First it just reboots once per week, then it gets more frequent until it reboots once per day.
Factory resets or firmware updates do not help. Some users sent their phone in for repair but not with huge success.
But not every device is affected by this. So far I did not notice that behavior with my phone (G800F).
I guess it is a hardware issue as not every device is affected and the error gets worse after some time.
The only way to diagnose what's wrong with the device is to check the adb and kernel log (at least the last kernel log before reboot might be available at /proc/last_kmsg). But this would require rooting the device which in turn would void the warranty. It would also be interesting if those reboots also occur with CM 12 (installing this will also void your warranty).
So it seems that sending the device in (without a great chance of repair) is the only option that Samsung gives you without loosing warranty.
Alternatively you also might want to wait for the official Lollipop release and hope that this will fix the problem.
If someone with this problem already rooted his device it would be interesting to get the log files (adb + kernel) of the times of the crashes.
Thanks for your reply, so it might be a hardware problem after all
After the last update my z3c sometimes stops working.
I get a freeze, screen goes black because sistemui crashes and I can't use the phone. I have to reboot and then it works normally.
This happens to me once or twice a day and before the update everything was fine.
What do I have to do?
Can someone help me?

Same thing is happening to me.. Very annoying and random..
Anybody else having the same issue?
Yes, same here, for today already 12 reboots, very nice on vacation...
i solved by connecting my z3c to my pc and clicking on "repair"!
never had a problem since.
It began when I try to record HD video in performance mode. My phone getting hotter and suddenly restarted. I tried to turned it off to cooled it down and turn it back on. A similar issue occurred while I retry to record video and suddenly it is restarted. The odd thing is about to happen. It began to bootloop stuck in mi logo and restarted over and over again. It happened for several days. I tried to flash the rom using fastboot but none of it fixed the problem. Now the problem spreading where the phone couldn't turn on but the LED blinked red when I charged it. I need to charge it like more than 5 hours to make it on and still bootloop. Once I found it succeed reach the homescreen. Since I think the main problem is on the rom, so I tried to factory reset and guess what? It began to bootloop again. I'm so devastated and I'm very grateful if anyone has a suggestion to fix this. Thx in advance.
I have this annoying problem with my 2 month old p9!
The bluetooth keeps turning off by its self! I got my LG G Watch R a month ago, and sometimes it happened that it lost its connection, but it came back by its self...
But lately the bluetooth icon in the notification bar just turns off! Randomly....
EMUI 4.1.1. EVA-L09
The only solution google keeps finding is reset your phone... but i don't want to! Its a pain to reinstall everything to my needs...
Is this perhaps a power saving thing that i can turn off?
try to wipe cache partition by turning on the device while holding power and volume up button together, from there choose wipe cache partition,it will solve most of the problems
I tried it, unfortunately it didn't help
Any other ideas?
Another problem with the Bluetooth.
I bought a gamesir g3s gamepad.
After I connected it, I tried a few games.
I noticed a 1sec delay when I pressed the XYAB buttons. The direction pad or the analog sticks worked with no problem, no delay. At first I thought I had a defective gamepad, but after connecting it to my gf note 4, it worked flawlessly.
I paired it again with my p9, and it worked normally.... For a few minutes... Then the delay came back... If I reset the developers option to defaults (I didn't change anything, I just reset it) the delay disappears for a minute, but it comes back...
My question is, is the Bluetooth so bad in this phone or did I get a faulty device?
try update to nougat,if still u have problem after updating so i think u have faulty device.i don't have any problem using Bluetooth in nougat ,before in MM i had some problem but fix by doing wipe cache partition, but still on nougat more stable
OK, but I still didn't receive the update.
I guess I will have to wait a bit...
It is annoying though...

Yea... I just figured it out Downloading the update atm
So after the update everything works ok now. Second day without a disconnect ?
I'm happy
Hi there i am having the same problem how did you manually update your system?
You should be able to basically reinstall your system software using the OTA software update app already installed on your phone. Basically it'll reinstall the same OS again on itself without wiping data.

I fund the solution here on this forum. In hicare you need to go under service, and select os early adopters...
Look out up ☺
True, I am on EMUI 5 and Android 7 and no issues.
I have the same issue and I'm on Nougat. Sometimes I find the Bluetooh turned off with no explanation. Wipe of cache partition and data didn't help. Someone else with this problem?
When updated to 7, did you factory rest the phone? If not, you should. It will almost 100% fix the problem.
I am complainig about heating protection showing everi time reach temprature 104fht on my devise p9
Hi guys. This issue just started happening a couple of days ago, it started when I was playing games (phone wasn't hot) then it turned off by itself. My battery was still at 80% so I turned it back on, after it started saying "starting apps" it turned off again and the phone is now constantly rebooting. It doesn't seem to be bricked at all as it sometimes boots to the menu but when i start tapping on an app it shuts off and does the constantly rebooting issue again. It could be a hardware issue which means I'm gonna need to send my phone to the service center for a repair but one thing that makes me think there could be a way of fixing this without paying a technician is, when i boot to download mode, it doesn't do its constant reboot issue. I was even able to flash a firmware via Odin but when the phone started to boot after firmware installation, It did the spontaneously rebooting in the middle of the boot process again. If any of you guys have any idea on how to fix this or if there's even a way to, Please help me. Thanks! Cheers!

Try flashing the experimental firmware from the rooting guide, and if that doesn't work then it is most likely a hardware issue, and I have a strong suspicion that it is.
If you have an external SD card, remove it and see if problems persist. Honestly that sounds like a firmware scrambled.
