Ive recently been experiencing really slow mobile data on the weekly builds of xiaomi.eu. While i was on stable builds it was fine, but now on weekly some apps dont even load and youtube sometimes doesnt even play videos.
Is there any fix for this that im unaware of? Maybe something to do with the APN settings?
Hi,
I'm on stable because... It's for daily drive. Weekly is more for enthusiastic that what to tinker and be on first position to test everything.
so yeah that could happen.
But why do you not just report it in the xiaomi.eu thread? Where the developer can instand can read it?

I tested last version and many others on my phone and I noticed the voice command generates a system error
Is just me unlucky?
I used it in italian language settings
I cannot post in other forum because I miss some posts number

i don't have these problems with the latest nightly. i have problem with the 3g data. i can't stop it. when the system shows, that it's off, i can search the internet over 3g.
Oh yeah, can't turn off 3G either.
But yes CM is being tested. However, in it's nightly (unstable) stage, things change daily. What doesn't work today may work tomorrow, and what does work today may not work tomorrow. If you can't deal with that, wait for a stable release.
I am testing cm from the very beginning. I can say that since .43 i really have the feeling of a fast stable phone. Yes there are some issues. But every release they seem to fade away more and more. So for me a big yes. Overall is it much faster and cooler than that the original rom. A very nice cm based rom is the wgspoelstra. It includes everything you need.
I am on cm .47 and everything is good. No crashes at all and everything I use is working well. The only issue is with HDMI mirroring but I don't often use it so cm7 is almost perfect for me
From your replies I see none have problems with voice controls
Just me?
I do not know if there are problems in the voice control, but remember that the CM7 rom is a nightly (even not beta). You should report the error to the CM7 developers.
I'd like to do... a report but without 10 posts I can write only here :-(
May be problems with vocal commands are related just to italian language
that is very possible caused by different language, after all these are localization, which in many times even officials release had problem with it, can't expect too much on a nighty build (which is not even beta)
I am on English, nighty #46, most things works well...
Hi y'all,
So recently I got my Mi5 here in China but here's a funny thing: I unlocked bootloader and flashed Global Stable from Chian Stable, and guess what? Now my GPS can't find me nomatter what I do. UNLESS I use VPN. Even Chinese app like Baidu Maps can't find me without using VPN to lock onto GPS signal. Strange, huh? Can anyone confirm same thing happening here in China?
It would seem that they intentionally change gps config file in the global rom to block all gps server addresses which can be visited from within China, and so forcing you to have VPN on to lock onto it.
Any help or feedback would be appreciated on this. And no, before you ask, I did not root yet. I may roll back to China Stable just to get my GPS back though.
It's strange
Last year October I went China with my Mi 5 in Global Stable and use their SIM card, the GPS is work fine tho
Yeah I am currently rocking the latest Global Stable (V8.0.3.0.MAGMIDI), and it is a major issue for a lot of people. Especially Chinese people and especially on MIUI China forums. I can confirm the same issue on Mi5s right now.
Hi Everyone
I flash a lot of roms on my phones, and same with the Mi5.
Since nougat update of MIUI, the wifi speed drops to 30kb/s at times while other devices get 4mb/s. To test I have ran speedtest by okla at the same time, and results differ with PING and DOWNLOAD SPEED.
Though it can be fixed temporarily by toggling airplane mode on and off.
Since then I have been trying different roms like: Lineage, Mokee, AOSP Extended, MIUI Global Dev, Global Stable, MIUI China Dev, China Stable. No luck in any of them.
However i flashed the android 6 of Mokee which ran perfectly for 7 days then had the issue, while other have it from day 1 of flashing.
Took the device to service center and stupid stuff like, we cannot find log file of your phone. Please take it to other service center.
I know this is the home for talented people, who can help me. Please suggest ways to fix it.
P.S:- Also tired of TWRP Error 7.
Thanks
Hello all! I am running the latest official EEA rom (10.2.26.0). Every 3 or 4 hours, when I open google maps and try to navigate to somewhere it shows that I am offline. The phone is connected to the internet (i open a browser to check and it works). The problem is solved with a simple reboot. Has anyone noticed the same thing?
I googled and found that one possible solution would be to uninstall and then reinstall the updates to google maps, via the play store. Try and update if it helped.
Thank you crazybill, I came across the solution but thought it was just an answer like "Have you tried to turn it of and on again" . I will give it a try and report back in a few days. I am preparing myself for a factory restore if everything else fails!
You might want to switch from the EEA ROM to Global. Xiaomi has been having problems with bugs on supposedly stable MIUI builds but the MI 9 EEA ROM seems to be plagued with far more serious bugs than the Global.
When I was running EEA there was a bug that killed the sound from incoming calls on Volte and disabled WiFi Calling. This was on a "beta stable" build that Xiaomi pushed out to many phones (including mine) via OTA. That was last month but there have been recent reports on XDA from MI 9 owners running EEA who are currently experiencing the same issue.
Reportedly the latest EEA OTA is also bricking some phones--but that's why I always unlock the bootloader on Xiaomi phones. The same thing was happening to some owners of Mix 2, Mix 2S and MI 8 phones--a routine OTA bricked their phones. With your bootloader unlocked it's usually easy to recover but with a locked bootloader it's virtually impossible unless you are willing to open the phone and attempt an EDL Test Point reset.
You might also want to take a look at your phone's location settings. When I got my MI 9 running EEA out of the box the location settings were set to a power saving option instead of high accuracy which I didn't realize so Google Maps would lose my location periodically.
Google Maps also didn't have all the permissions it should have had and didn't ask for them which I think might have something to do with the privacy laws in the EU that the EEA ROM was created to comply with.
After reading this, instead of just doing a factory reset I switched to global stable (I had already asked for unlock permission but never got around to do it). Google maps work without any issues, thank you very much

Is it just me ? Or has Wi-Fi on the Xiaomi Mi A2 has really gotten slow for some months now.. My mobile data works amazing.. my wifi speeds are amazing as it works good on my laptop and speed test on both laptop and phone gives around same results.. but the actual internet performance on wifi isnt as good as it should be... tried even on different wifi of different people. Also my phone keeps getting disconnected when I'm at a certain distance.. but laptop can keep constant connection flawlessly at even greater distance.
My wifi experience on this device hasn't always been this bad. i feel this has started from a certain update.
In some cases like downloading stuff the speed is good but sometimes apps such as instagram its not as good
In overall i dont feel for the Wi-Fi to be a reliable network on my Phone.
Might there be a reason this is happening?
Mi A2 wifi module is really bad, it can do better if you are on 2.4ghz, but not so much. I am on Pixel Extended, problem remains

Well, oreo and pie firmware is good. Q firmware is mostly bad. If custom rom, try oreo wifi firmware.
How? Search it in telegram.
