Question Mystery Alarm keeps going off - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Hi all,
My alarm keeps going off at the same time even though I've turned it off. I'm the clock settings all alarms are off. I think an old alarm might have been restored drum backup from my Samsung account when I first got the phone. Is there a way to disable the rogue alarm. Please help as I really don't want to factory reset the phone.
Thanks!!

Can anyone help with this. I reset all settings and it still goes off.

Did you try to just clear the data and cache of the Clock/Alarm app and start over again with the app?

Does the alarm provide any context? Like what it's for? Can you take a screenshot next time it goes off? Also, go to recent apps as soon as you snooze the alarm and see what process called the alarm. If it's the clock app, you have to dig into it and find the alarm.
Next time the alsrm goes off, don't dismiss it. Snooze it instead and try finding the process that triggered it.
Give us some more info brother, so we can try to figure this out...

it should go away after you clear cache and data for the clock app

Maybe it's a different clock app. See if you've installed another one

You have a ghost alarm too?

Hi all,
My alarm continues going off at the equal time despite the fact that i've grew to become it off. I'm the clock settings all alarms are off. I suppose an antique alarm could haveKodi nox been restored drum backup from my Samsung account after I first were given the smartphone. Is there a way to disable the rogue alarm. Please assist as I absolutely do not want to manufacturing facility reset the telephone.
Thanks!!

Mine does this, but with work.. At least 5 of them go off at around 6am... lol. Jokes aside though.
Have you guys checked your calendar app? Maybe you've accidentally set an event that goes off every day? Or something went wrong with the Google/Samsung account sync or whatever its called and its created an event for every day.

A good choice is the Wooden Digital Alarm Clock with Wireless Charging from JALL. The fact that it can set three alarms at once makes me very happy. As a result, I don't have to rely on just one person to set the alarm for my partner and myself.

Clear system cache.
If it persists use Device Care>memory to try to spot it. If you know what time it goes off, hit Clean Now a minute or two before it goes off and see what loads.

SOLVED for me. This was driving me nuts as well. My S20 goes off every 6 a.m. Investigated and it turns out there is this "new" feature called Modes and Routines. Go to Settings > Modes and Routines > Sleep (or other mode set) > Turn on Automatically > Sleep Schedule. Long press the schedule and delete it. You can probably set it for a later time or play around with the sleep settings, but deleting it entirely works.

SOLVED....I was having the same issue, when I got my Galaxy Watch 5 and set my morning alarm for work during the week, some how a 5am alarm got set to go off during the weeknds. I went into settings and then went to modes and routines and turned off the automatic alarm and that fixed the issue

Alarm clock problem

Hi, this morning the WM alarm clock of my tytn ii failed to raise at the correct time, but finally the alarm did go off about 58 minutes later (the device was left untouched in sleep mode until that). The notification still showed the correct alarm time in the message, and the acutal time (wrong) time in header and top bar.
Never heard of this problem before, any suggestions??? Please help me to identify the problem with this "ready for business"-device (lol).
I think i remember reading something similar to this on another thread. where the problem was something to do with time sync (by activesync or network). Perhaps somebody who has had this problem can help?
Try disabling the HTC Home plugin and the Task Manager. That seems to help fix it.
I do not know if this is connected or not, but -
I have a (perhaps) similar problem with the alarm.
My alarm is set to 07:30 every morning.
A while ago, I travelled to france and adjusted the time zone by one hour. I have since returned home, but since, the alarm rings at 06:30 every morning.
The setting is still 07:30.
There is no alarm set for 06:30.
The system **** shows the correct time and the time zone is also correct.
Is it possible that 'old' and incorrect entries are stored in the registry, and trigger the alarm wrongly?

I have some problem and use another alarm proogram.
Try to use some another program like SPB Time or another.

exact same problem here (i did visit germany not france though )
does anyone have a solution without disabling things like the home plugin?
(it's not the auto change timezone/clock from sim setting as i have that before this prob occured and its still off...)
Try cleanining the notification Que using sktools or some similar program, this alarm problem is a well known bug in WM devices and has been for a long time
You may want to check your time zone is correct. Also check that the time IS NOT being updated from the network, if your cell provider has an incorrect time zone this could cause the problem.
I have been having the same problem. I can set an alarm for 8:00AM, but it will ALWAYS go off at 7:00AM. If I set it for 8:01AM, it will go off at the right time. I have no idea why it's happening and can't seem to find a solution...
Alarm Problem
I have the same problem. My alarm goes off at 5:20 a.m. every morning. I updated the TILT rom with the new updated AT&T rom. I set the alarm once for 5:20 am. After that it has gone off at that time every morning regardless of what I do to the alarm clock settings . Anyone know how to fix this problem????

I agrree - clean Notification Que....., BUT cleaning every week, monts ... so boring.....
stop using buged WM clock to alarm - well, how I said, use some another clock program like SPB Time or similar.
I've always had alarm clock issues with every wm device I've ever used. Either going off at the wrong time or not at all. I downloaded 3rd party gentimer and just transfer it to each new device as I get them. I know I shouldn't have to do this and MS should have a better more reliable alarm system, but for a one time charge of 12 bucks I have peace of mind and no. more dickin' with the damn oem alarm. It's worth it IMHO.

What has worked for me in the past is to delete all existing timers, do a soft reset, then re-create them. In your case, I'd be tempted to change the timer, then delete it, then reset and re-enable.

What do you mean delete the existing timers? Where do I delete them?
I use my old Nokia N70 just because it's so pathetic that HTC or MS (don't know whose fault it is) can't fix a proper alarm.

Perhaps I confused you by calling the alarms 'timers'. Here's how to delete them:
Start, Settings, Clock & Alarms, Alarms tab.
To delete a previously set alarm, uncheck the checkbox, and de-select days of the week. Click Ok. Do a soft reset.
In my experiance, this will remove duplicate alarms as well.
I've tried that with the exception of removing all of the checked days of the week. I will try that and see what happens. Thanks.

**alarm dysfunction**

can someone help me with this please?
for some reason, my Tilt alarms at 8:10 and 8:15pm every night
the alarms are not set for this time. I first noticed this when I changed the time to daylights saving
has anyone else had weird thing like this?
or is there something I am missing here? and how can i fix it?
thanks so much in advance!
I got the same problem PLUS i have two extra alarms that go off at 6pm and 630pm even though I dont have my alarms set at that time!
I'm glad I'm not the only one!!! I thought I was going crazy. The only added info I can give is that I set an alarm last Saturday night for Sunday morning - DST change weekend. I set it for 7am - thinking the clock would change time overnight (it did) and alarm me at 7am NEW time.
I got an alarm at 6am (new time) and again at 7 (the one that was actually set). All week since, it's been going off every morning at 6am. I've disabled ALL alarms, and it still goes off. I've tried changing the time to 5:59am, and letting it tick through 6am - it will not go off then.
If anyone has any answers, I'd be much obliged to hear them - before tomorrow at 6am

Sounds like there are extra notifications in the notifications queue. I had a similar problem on my 8125 once. Get Memmaid (the trial should work just fine) and do a memory cleaning and go into the notifications queue and delete all duplicates. If that does not solve it, look in the queue and look for an alarm at 6am and delete it. That should take care of it I think. Good luck.
interesting program thanks for the tip! I did a memory cleaning and then went into the notification queue. I couldn't find a 6am (or anything that resembled that) entry, but I did select "time based", "classic time based" and "event based" and asked it to "rebuild notification queue" - I'll let you know sometime after 6am tomorrow if it worked. Thanks again!
Windows Alarm
I gave up on Windows Alarm a long time ago. I now use G-Alarm. Its a very good program and its free. If your having issues with your alarm use G-Alarm.

That'd be fine if I could get rid of the CURRENT alarms
Clearing the Clocks
Try SKTools. It can clear the alarm cache. Also G-Alarm fixes the Windows Alarm bug. and in the options can override the windows alarm system. Give it a shot.
Have you checked to see if there are any appointments saved that reoccur on your pc that transferred when you sync ? I know that if you set a scheduled appointment, you will also get an alarm as a reminder.
I personally use Chronos for an alarm, but this (and a few other posts ;-) ) are off topic what the OP is asking.
It *has* to be in the notifications, so look through them carefully.
as far as i can tell
there are only 3 spots for alarms...and there are no other notifications or reminders for anything else, especially not for the same time every freaking day at that same time
its killing me slowly inside...

I downloaded Memmaid. I did the memory cleaning like you suggested and that fixed it. I'm no longer awakened at 6am. THANK YOU! I looked in the notification queue but couldn't find duplicates of anything... but the cleaning bit seems to have fixed it. Thanks again!

[Q] Alarm Clock going off late

This is my first post/question.... ever here, so go easy on me. I've been searching the interwebs and can't seem to find anything similar to my problem.
As background (may not mean anything), a few days's ago I downloaded the new Bitspin Timely alarm clock after news of Google's purchase. At some point I made it the default clock when Google Now asked for the program to use when setting an alarm. I swear the alarm worked once or twice before all of this, but can't remember now.
Whatever happened, my morning alarm doesn't go off on time. Its always about 25 min late (sometime after I've woken the phone from daydream). I even tried switching back to the regular alarm clock, and it wont go off in the morning on time. Uninstalled Timely, still no dice.
The kicker is that when I test it during the day, everything works perfect. It's like the phone goes in to such a deep sleep (that's a thing, right?) overnight that it just doesn't catch the time in the morning. Thankfully I have a decent internal clock and have had the privilege of just watching the time pass the alarm time and nothing happen. My other thought was that maybe its related to Moto Assist. I set the do not disturb, but its set to end well before my alarm goes off. I've cleared its data and disabled that for tonight to see what happens.
I REALLY don't want to factory reset. And I can't root to use some of the detailed monitoring apps because my company makes us use that stupid Good for Enterprise.
Anyhow, if anyone has any thoughts, I'd appreciate it.
Haven't tried out my alarm clock yet but will set it up for tonight and see what happens. Hope that it works or I'll have to buy an alarm clock for my dorm room.

I'm just throwing this out there. Under Settings > Date and Time> is Automatic time chosen? Is the correct time zone chosen? Is it off by 25 minutes to your time vs you set it at 0600 and it goes off 0625?.
When in doubt try clearing the App Data and try again. I'd suggest testing the alarm before going to bed of course I use Timley too and have no real issues with it yef

I thought I had this fixed... worked perfect the night after I cleared cashe/data from the clock, timely, and moto assist. I even disabled the quiet time on the moto assist app. Worked great through Tuesday, but then yesterday it was 4 min late, then 35 min today. Its also a bit strange that when I look at the Timely widget, it was a little under a min behind the system time. I'm sort of at a loss at this point. Would this be software, or possibly hardware?

just curious what's wrong with the built-in alarm clock? i've been using it since it's been bundled with android and it works great.
I love the stock alarm clock as well. I should have been more clear with the issue. I tested both the stock and Timely alarms and both seem to suffer the same issue. So I don't think my problem is with the app itself, but rather however the alarms work.

I've been using Alarm Clock Plus (paid) and haven't had any problems with it setting off alarms at the set time.
I've been using Timely and the stock alarm with no issues on a nightly basis. It seems odd that yours isn't going off on time. Timely and the stock clock are always in sync on my Moto X. It sounds to me that you have no other choice but to try a factory reset. There is a glitch in the system somewhere.
Resurrected
I hate to resurrect an old, dead thread, but consider this one resurrected. I just had this exact same problem occur with my Samsung Note 2. The alarm went off late, (both stock alarm clock and Timely), and it's incrementally getting worse. I'm running an unofficial version of Lollipop, but the alarms worked perfectly up until this weekend.
Anyone have a solution, yet?

I was having this problem. Thought it was Amplify or Greenify. Tried everything. Then..... I discovered that somehow DayDreams was turned on. I turned it off and it immediately solved the issue for me.
Unfortunate
That is truly unfortunate to hear, as I use Timely and my clock with the Daydream function of Android every day. I dock my phone, and Daydream immediately kicks in the Timely clock as my sleeping screen saver. I will test this out to see if it's the problem.

Phone Does Not Exit Do Not Disturb Mode

So I just got a GS8. Fantastic phone. The only issue I am noticing is that when the phone enters "Do not Disturb" mode, it does not exit as scheduled. Typically it is set to turn on at 10 PM each night and turn off at 6 AM the next day. (save for the alarm that goes off at 5 AM). The alarm goes off fine. The phone, however, stays in "Do not Disturb" mode well past 6 AM and until I turn it off. Anyone else notice similar behavior? Could this result from the phone being connected to the A/C charger? I ask because when I set "Do not Disturb" to turn on and off at work it does so just fine. At work the phone is not connected to a charger.
I'm blanking on what it was, but I was running an app that was causing this issue. I've looked through my Google play library and just can't recall what it was. Might have had something to do with volume control. Start by removing anything you aren't using. If the problem persists, try removing anything that sounds like it could interact with audio or notifications until you find it. Worst case, factory reset, confirm issue is gone, then add things back until issue recurrs. I'll try again to jog my memory.

This gets weirder and weirder. So, I am coming from a Mate 9. on that phone I could set multiple Do Not disturb profiles. So I had one set for overnight (10 PM to 6 AM and one set for work hours (7 AM to 3:30 PM). Although the GS8 only allows one profile, it seems to have "remembered" the second profile. I say this because the phone went into "do not disturb" at 7 AM. I am not even sure how that's possible. I did restore apps via the google, but I cannot think of anything else besides what you are recommending. I may have to do a factory data reset as you recommend and set everything up.

You could turn off the built in Do Not Disturb and use an app like Do Not Disturb Plus to control the DND schedule.

You know, as long as I have had an android phone and I didn't think to do that. I should have. One issue I need to deal with is whether turning off the built-in Do Not Disturb disables that suspected hidden profile. If so, then I am good to go, if not, then I need to do the factory reset before using an app from the playstore (probably gives me more options than what Samsung allows).
Thanks.

Resetting the device did the trick. rather than restoring apps from the Huawei Mate 9, I started fresh and downloaded apps from the app store. A pain, but it worked. Thanks again.

So my Phone crashed at night, no alarm in the morning

Received the P4XL yesterday and set it up. Put up an alarm in the morning but the phone crashed in the night and no alarm ring in the morning.
the phone Was half alive, App drawer worked but wasnt able to start any apps (only Black or blank screen). After reboot all the missed alarms showed up.
Anyone else noticed something like this?
I've had this happen with my Pixel 3 and other phones.
It doesn't even have to be a crash, it can be as simple as a reboot. It seems that Android's alarm scheduling doesn't kick in until the phone is first unlocked after a restart, so if anything causes your phone to restart overnight, no alarm. I've been late for work more than once because of this.
Samsung phones in particular let you schedule a weekly automatic restart for maintenance purposes; on all my Samsungs I have to make sure to schedule it for a night where I never need to have an alarm go off the next morning.
I have also had bugs with Do Not Disturb blocking alarms even though I set it not to. It's rare, but it happens.
I have been using phones as my alarm clock for years, but it's always a bit of a gamble. So many things can go wrong.
