Hi I've got my DS7 for a while now but 2 days ago it stopped charging battery.
I thought maybe the charger is broken so I plugged it to my laptop via USB cable only but every time I've tried my laptop crashed and turned off ( I've got Asus G72GX which have safety switch when there is issue with power ).
I've tried also to connect it to my PS3 to charge it but no sucess too.
Right now I can't do anything about it because Dell Support told me that even if my DS7 is still on warranty I can't calim it because I bought it from Amazon from original owner, bastards ...
Any ideas ? Is it common issue with DS7's ?
No this is not common. Was it like this when you first bought it?
The s7 will not actually say it's charging if it's not on a 1/2A source. Pretty much only dedicated chargers can provide 1/2A, most laptops and pcs and etc usually dont.
You can get a cheap charger replacement at Amazon.

I just bought new charger on ebay to check if its the charger or the actual device issue but it will arrive probably after christmas.
Thanks everyone.
Hey everyone,
I recieved a new LeEco Le 2 yesterday. It is Le X526 Indian version. The charging cable has normal USB on one end and USB C on the other. There is no response when I plug the charger. It is not charging. I tried by switching it off and same result.
The adaptor is working as I could charge another device using it. There is no way for me to check the cable since I don't have any other USB C device. Now if has only about 10% left. I have switched it off and kept for charging. What should I do now? Any suggestions please...

Gonna do that. I bought it from Flipkart for an offer price. Hopefully, it can be replaced.
Update : My father has got it to charge by adjusting the USB C end. Definitely something wrong with either the cable or the USB port on the phone. He noticed something weird too. He was able to connect the normal USB end of the cable on the adaptor both ways. Is it also reversible? Anyway, I am gonna leave it untouched till it charges fully and do more inspections later.

I am a little confused now. Now it is working most of the times. Even when it does not, I can adjust it a little bit and it works. In effect, I can get it to work everytime. I am wondering whether the problem is with the cable somehow. Does nobody else have this problem? Is it really worth the hassle of replacement? Somebody please confirm..

There may be some kind of insulator covering one of the contact pins. IF YOU SAY IT WORKS, PLUG AND PLAY, then no need to return. IF YOU FEEL SOME INCONVENIENCE AND HAVE TO KEEP THE CABLE OF PHONE IN CERTAIN POSITION FOR IT TO CHARGE, JUST RETURN IT. MOST PROBABLY, THE FLIPKART GUY BRINGS A REPLACEMENT PHONE WHEN HE COMES TO PICK THE PHONE ITSELF.
Yes replace it.
Why you are taking loss just replace it.
Replace Phone
Thanks everyone for your valuable suggestions. I have requested for a replacement. But the flipkart customer service is not making it easy. First they wanted me to reset the phone even though this is a hardware issue. Then they wanted me to install SmartChk app to verify the problem. But after that, now they want me to verify whether the problem is with the charger or the phone. When I told them that I have no USB C cables, they want me now to go to some shop and check this. Without doing that they won't proceed.
Update : Everything is fine. I went to a Leeco service centre and found out the issue was with the cable. I found out that if there is any issue with the phone, it would take around a month to repair it. They didn't even have cables in stock. Surely, flipkart will deliver faster. Flipkart gave me 2 options. They would either give me ₹200 with which I can buy a new cable or they will replace everything. I went with replacement. No quality cable can be bought for that price and I don't want to take any risks with USB C cables right now. Hopefully, replacement has no issues.
My Le 2 is not charging. When I connect it to charger, it shows that it is charging but the battery percentage is not increasing. I don't have any other device to check if the problem is with my type-C cable or not. Any help will be appreciated.

Change your charging cable.

This is ultimately a fault of the USB-C design. Look in the port and you will see it has a thin piece of plastic inside of it. This slides into the charger and has contacts on it. If that little piece of plastic gets cracked/bent/broken, the port is toast. Yes, your octa core, 32 GB 5.5" HD display device can be rendered useless by the cracking of a tiny piece of plastic bending.
This is why Micro USB is the superior connector, all the contacts are mounted to the interior of the port that is secured to the device. Yet another example of the tech industry replacing something in existence with something worse just o sell you new cables and adapters.

Greetings, I'm recently bought a used Motherboard around $90 bucks at ebay from China and shipped to Malaysia, for Samsung Note 5, but I made a horrible mistake during the disassembling process, that I tear out the signal flex cable of note 5 with the chip stucked inside (causing me unable to link the cable to the recently bought motherboard), so now I moved out both signal flex cable from the phone and hoping for motherboard and screen able to boot. However, the phone is not responding still though I replace the dead motherboard with the used motherboard. Is the signal flex capable really crucial for the phone booting? I hope I could get some advice from this platform.
Note that: I charged the phone with fully functional battery to test booting, and another attempt without battery but connecting to charger. But none of it gives me positive feedbacks.. Could this be a fake motherboard as well? or it just need signal flex cable to be connected for booting?
Thank You for any replies!
HI there guys, That is my problem, I am from Chile, my rog phone 2 got wet, the USB charging pins are burned, the phone does not turn on.
Where can I quote a motherboard?
I have not yet brought the phone to the Asus support, but already told me that they only change the complete component so I think that a motherboard repair is unattainable for me
search aliexpress but can't find.
Hai, Does anybody have the Mi A2 charging Flex board. or any link from where i could buy it.
My phone is charging and not getting detected in PC
Also have changed the flex board recently as the old one got damaged charging port.
