OmniRom black screen on Pi4 - Raspberry Pi Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I am fine with Raspian but needed to set disable_overscan=1 there. When I try OmniRom my screen shows the boot screen, after this rainbow and then its gone. Tried with this setting in config.txt - but it looks like it gets overwritten.
I use a converter from HDMI to VGA.
search did not really help me - or maybe I did search with the wrong phrase.
Any suggestions what to do?

Background Image Help

Hi,
I'm trying to put a background image of a car on my today screen.
When i put it on its far to close (pic to big). With my old M3100 you could chose how much and where abouts of the jpeg you wanted as background is there anyway to do this on the kaiser?
I've tried changing the resoultion then it works in wide screen but tiles it in normal mode which looks naff.
Any help would be appricaited.
Thanks
Jason
Go to Start | Programs | Pictures & Videos - then find your image you want to use as the background; select Menu | Set as Today Background and you'll get a window showing what part of the image will be used on the today screen - use your stylus to drag the rectangle left or right to suit and then just OK your way back out.....
HTH,
Mark.
Thanks, but even if i do that it still tiles or i can only see a small amount of the car.
I have tried numorous resoultions on the jpeg then put it on my phone but still no joy.
rangeing from 200x200 to 1024x768
Any one had this issue before and solved it?
Strange....it seems to work for me as long as the image is not stupid-sized (like 1600x1200 off my digital camera ).....
The screen resolution is 240x320 so that should be fine as an image; you may want a 320x320 image so that it works for landscape too, although I think you have to keep the part of the image you want to the left of the 320 pixel width....
Of course, you could always use something like ThemGenCE to make yourself a theme with the picture(s) you want - that should work....your call

Mark.

TomTom Skin?

Hi,
Firstly, I'm new to this forum - and the whole site! It's been a great help to me already so... Thanks, everyone!
I run TomTom Navigator 6.030 (8320) with Uk and WE maps v6.75.1409.
I run this on my HTC TyTn II and everything is fine.*
However, I like to run it in 'map display off' mode because I find the full maps distracting. I like my HTC black and moody look and wondered if anyone knows how to get something similar on TT? Is there a way to skin it or change the blue colour to black or dark grey?
Thanks for any help you can give me!!

*I also have the problem of the first part of the audio 'dropping out' when I connect to a Y splitter - V Annoying!
The only way I've noticed to change the vibrancy of the colors is to run it in night mode (which I do most of the time as I find it more appealing)

Have you tried the fix(s) for that?

Thanks
Thanks for the V quick replies...
looking into them now.
The Night colours only work if you use the MAPS view, I want to run TT with the maps off (using just the white arrows on - the standard - blue, except I want to turn the blue black!)
Thanks anyway
Go into the safety options!!!!
Just set your speed really low (10 - 15 mph) & it will go to the arrow (Safety) screen any time you go above that. It says turn off screen above xxx kph or mph, but what it really does is give you the safety screen with only the arrow & pertinent details.
Thank you GSLEON3, but that's not what I mean...
I can get the white arrow etc no problem, it's the blue background that I want to change to black / dark grey to fit in with the htc theme. Maybe it just can't be done! I know it can't from within TT but I was hopeful that some sort of skin or program hack might be available for this??
Any ideas?
Do a google search or wait till Monday. Look for TomTom map schemes or colors. TomTom has a guide to making color schemes & also some downloadable color schemes on their website. I'm on the road so I don't have the links with me. I have a black & gray one I use though.
Thanks!!!!

Camera hangs after 3MP photo and photos are green

Hi everyone.
I searched for a similar problem in the forum and could not find it so, I decided to try this way.
I have a Touch Diamond for a month now. I noticed that after taking a photo with 3MP resolution, the camera hangs. I have to do a soft reset in order to access the camera again.
Another thing that happens is that the photos taken in all modes are green (except the ones with "L" resolution).
Does anyone have a similar problem?
The only advanced thing I did was to activate a few extra photo modes using advanced config.
Thanks a lot

Just another hint...
Just another bit of info.
the photos are green on the touchFlo interface, not on the album. In the album they seem to be ok.
Thanks

Correction:
The photos less than 3MP seem to be ok when seen on the thumbnail album interface. However, when seen on full screen all pixels are green an pink. If you see them on the PC, it's the same...green and pink weird.
If I have the courage, I'm thinking of doing a hard reset this weekend, just to be sure it is not an hardware problem.
Any inputs?
Thanks
I had the same problem until I discovered that the cause was a setting in my AdvancedConfig. I don't know i f you have installed that program. But the greens screens are due to the G sensor. It's a particular setting in the camera node that you have to change. It's something like turn photo with G sensor.
I hope it has solved your problem
Fixed! At least for a Touch Pro
I had the exact same problem with the green and plaid color pattern in thumbnails and the actual picture on my phone.
I have the Advanced Config 3.x program and I found out that I had to: Encode photos in portrait mode under the Camera options needs to be set to NO.
Works fine after that!

In photo or video mode, my display goes black...

Hi all,
Suddenly one day, my camera "searching window" (the whole screen) was black, both in photo and video mode (otherwise everything is normal). The camera captures both photo and video like normal, but the screen is all black, so it's very difficult to take good pictures. Everything is normal when I select camera on the taskbar, but when I tap the photo or video icon on the right the screen goes all black. I have no idea why this has happened. I had not done any change to any software for several months, and everything worked perfectly until then.
A soft reset did not change anything. I have previously had an analog clock and a Windows Beta 7 theme installed (used TF3D Config Tool and Total Commander), but they are uninstalled and caused no problems. The camera also worked normally with the Beta theme installed for many months. I uninstalled the Beta theme with TF3D Config Tool (restore default) because of this problem, but now my phone just has the standard menus again, and the camera problem is still there...
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Happened to my Fuze. Ended up reloading ROM (Dr. G's Clean).
Haven't had that issue again.

[Q] Possibility to turn of "local adaptive contrast"?

Hi,
I have the Z3 compact a while now and I have already rooted the phone (unlocked bootloader) and have flashed the rEctifY Rom.
Everything is fine, but I hate the “local adaptive contrast” function while I'm surfing. On many sites, which are not white, the screen becomes little darker in chrome when the adressbar disappears.
When I scroll up and the adressbar is shown, the screen becomes brighter immediately.
I already tried to uninstall many many things like "screen optimization 1.0" and so on. Nothing work. I think, it is a kernel thing.
You can see it on a site like "derstandard.at/web". Just scroll up and down to push the adressbar away and back. It is like the dynamic contrast function from my monitor. But I can turn off it there.
This function is also described here (I cannot post links):
Please use "tinyurl dot com" with this: "p34zuuc"
"A new “local adaptive contrast” algorithm has been introduced to the Xperia Z3."
Maybe somebody can help. And sorry for my bad english
Solution
I found a solution finally!
This problem is not present, when you flash Cyanogenmod 12.
The sound quality is also better now.
I looked for an another phone already. Now I can keep my Z3C
Just wanted you to know
