Here is a good walk through

Also if you are using ADW launcher you can -
1. Unzip the download file to a folder on your SD card
2. Drag an icon from your app drawer to your home screen
3. Long press on application icon
4. Select edit
5. Select the icon picture
6. Select "Select Picture"
7. Select "Gallery"
8. Navigate to the folder containing the newly downloaded and unzipped icons.
9. Select according cyanogen style icon
10. Select "OK" on custom shortcut menu
11. All done, repeat all you want
Sorry there isn't an easier way. I am working on getting the icons into an apk you can download from the market, hopefully it'll be there soon. Thanks for downloading, spread the word!

I still maintain that it's an impressive work rate. The 'general public' might well be unaware of the ongoing work into the android 5.0 branch (I certainly had been getting a bit worried).
I wonder whether posting merge statistics on the omnirom.org site might be useful?
