I read that re-locking a bootloader with a custom kernel installed would brick your phone, is that not correct? I belive the correct way would to be to reflash your phone to stock using SEUS and then lock the bootloader?
I'm not saying that eagleeyetom is wrong, I'm fairly new to this type of thing but I do remember the unlockbootloader guide stating not to relock bootloader with a custom Kernel installed as you'd brick the phone. Just trying to help
thanks for help.
my touchscreen is broken. I wanna change it to the new one.
I should relock my phone, right??
Are they check the software?? I think i've got the hardware problem..
Yeah, you're right. You should first flash stock kernel and then re-lock.
thanks.. i'll try it..

From what I've read is impossible because when you unlock the bootloader it burns some sort of fuse or something like that, which can't be recovered
If the fault with your phone is nothing to do with the bootloader your guarantee won't be affected.

Well sometimes they just try to be a pain in the ass and complain about it, but if it's got nothing to do with it, just go ahead and send it to your phone's service
I sent mine in (the screen was dodgy) mine had an unlocked bootloader, when i got it back it had been reset from jellybean to ics and bootloader relocked and i can now longer unlock bootloader but they still fixed the device under waranty
okay guys, thanks. no my problem is the aux out and the usb port ;S i will send it with unlocked bootloader now
I've always used flashtool to relock the bootloader and it has gone without problems every.single.time... until now...
I want to relock the bootloader so I can use the DRM Restore Mod (I was one of the early adopters that unlocked the bootloader to flash recovery before we figure out that you lose the DRM keys :crying, but when I click the button, nothing happens, the log says that the bootloader WAS relocked but in fact it hasnt (I've tested it by trying to restore the phone with Sony official tool).
Has anyone else dealed with this kind of issue?
Hi,
Some time ago I unlocked the bootloader and rooted my device. Didn't know it was possible to root without unlocking the bootloader (yes, i'm quite new to rooting etc.). Now my phone has a defective headphone-jack and I need to send it on repair. Anyone know how to re-lock the bootloader so I still have the warranty?
Currently running sLIM 4.8 by Wajk.
Use flashtool
Thanks, but it says on Sony's website that the phone stays unlocked even after using flash tool?
Code:
fastboot oem lock
Never done it in Sony phone but most of HTC, Nexus and few other brands I'm locking just with this command.
Through some miracle, I just unbricked my phone. I locked it and bricked it but then I flashed the stock 6.0.1 rom and i'm good!. I'm now at a status 2 because i unlocked and relocked it. I know you guys hate that because why relock it, but i'm returning it and wanted to play it safe.
Weird thing is I'm still getting the unlocked bootloader warning on power on. Any ideas why and how I can get rid of it? I thought for sure relocking would fix it.

This might not work with a locked bootloader, but you can give it a shot.
Download the boot logo from this thread that looks like the original one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...o-maxx-droid-turbo-x-style-logos-bin-t3407046
Double click on the .exe file while your phone is in bootloader mode and plugged into your computer.
Thanks ya, I have seen that logo fix floating around for the Droid Turbo but I didn't want to try until I had at least one confirmation that it could work on a relocked bootloader. Anyone have a guess/idea/or success story?
